BvS The BvS Ultimate Cut Thread - Part 3

He asks the questions about the bat vigilante after he first hears Bruce speaking with Alfed, so I assume he put it all together after hearing the conversation and Bruce's intentions for being there.
i guess that's why some didn't like it... because we have to guess... the movie didn't offer a direct and clear answer... and it can be argued upon.

but that's what i like so much about it... we interpret with what we see.

Yeah personally I don't like everything to be spelt put in a movie. Vague and subtle hints tat leave you to make up your mind are part of the fun for me. Snyder tends to do this in all of his movies and its why I like him as a film maker. Bryan Singer is another director who does it in his movies also.

Is it weird for me to say that I've haven't gone back and seen either the theatrical or the ultimate cut on Bluray, and I've yet to see any of the special features?

Finally saw the UC of this movie. What was a 9/10 movie has become a 10/10.

I don't know how many times my wife and I asked "Why did they cut that out of the TC?" It seemed like they were all SM clips.

Easily. I think for the average folk, BvS was boring. I wouldn't blame them because BvS TC had moments that dragged on. But BvS UE has more meat and felt shorter but complete.

i've been rewatching the UC again, and i like it more, with the more times i watch it.

imo, it's still a flawed movie and i can see lot of people being bored by the slow build-up of the story.

however, it's definitely an ambitious movie, and snyder and the writers were trying to do something that's outside of the box - so i can also see why a lot of people would like bvs over the typical superhero fare.

Exactly. This is why even though BvS was NOT the movie I expected before release, I ended up appreciating it for what it was going for, fortunately. It really tried to do something different I was able to admire. Really felt grounded in reality even though there was so much science fiction.

Watched the TC with the family tonight as they didn't fancy a 3 hour movie. The missing scenes from the UC were missed so much. The movie felt incomplete.

i don't think i can go back to watch the TC again.
it doesn't feel like a complete movie. too incoherent and a rush job.

It was "unconventional" Superhero movie, WB certainly took risk there, but then they got nervous about the run-time (lol.) and edited the hell of of it, the 3 hour movie would have made a little less money though.

Still, I'm a bit surprised it made as much money at Box Office as it did, considering lack of "fun" factor that most moviegoers associate with comic book movies nowadays.

I wonder if he knows why IronHead studios wasn't given credit for producing the costumes. That one bothers me. Apparently a new studio is producing the costumes for JL with the molds IronHead studios made for BvS. Did you guys see the cosplayChris video?

a pic worth of thousands words.

Batman v superman dawn of justice ultimate edition is the real version of this movie and the only version that matters just like directors cuts of T2 judgement day. Aliens. Watchmen. Kingdom of heaven are the real versions of those films.

In the theatrical version there is just so much more missing. Little cuts here and there. Big chunks of scenes. Different lines. Different beats. Flows better (I usually don't agree with alot of you but that I will agree with)
The action is more graphic. In scenes not just with more blood but even just added sound effects in certain shots. Characters are completely reinserted or others have better pay offs.
Superman is a more detailed character. Lois is more than a damsel and even the daily planet charcaters are more involved. The kgbeast is more throughout the film.
WB really did wrong with not releasing the ultimate edition in theaters. The theatrical cut is now feels just like a highlights reel for the ultimate edition.
