I think Cap's costume in Avengers was awesome. It looked fantastic, especially during scenes in the final battle. The helmet looked awesome! So many great shots. Loved it.
That's reassuring.t: One of my disappointments with TFA was how Cap didn't really feel very Super-Soldiery except for a couple of times when he sent guys flying with hits from his shield.
Thanks! I was undecided but I think Thor was my favorite of the team
And I loved when he tucked his whole body behind the shield in the air when that bomb went off!
However...I still feel like he needed one more scene in the final battle, a more heroic one. Iron Man got to be the hero, and I think both Cap and Thor could have used a more heroic final sequence.
Having seen the movie twice, I can say I was very impressed with Evans as Cap.
I loved him in the solo film, but worried about how he'd come across in The Avengers; clashing with Stark and he lovely ego.
But I really believed that Cap was the guy in charge of this group and was definitely the authority figure after Fury. And I honestly believed he was goin to (and would) whoop Stark's @$$![]()

Something I really liked was that Whedon wasn't afraid of putting this one subject that most superhero/comic movies would stay away from. Caps line of:
"There's only one god and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that"
Thought it was good emphasizing Rogers "old fashioned" views including his religious outlook even in the face of all this craziness.
Sure. You guys really think Cap could go toe to toe with someone who fought Thor?
I know this is the Cap threads, but being a "super soldier" can only go so far against a suit of armor.
Sure.
He's Captain America. That's sorta his thing. Real world logic, of course not.
In the realm of comic & fiction, he's done it (at least hold the line)numerous times.
Otherwise, Stark would probably just have ended up as a crunched up ball of metal in his initial bout against Thor.
