Loved Fallout, but definitely didn't think she was a scene stealer.

Same here—in fact, the only reason Kirby was memorable for me in Fallout at all was because she accurately emulated Max from the original Mission Impossible.

Personally I won't complain if Kirby is cast, but I'm in the camp that thinks there are better choices for the role. Although I'll wait to reserve some judgment until seeing Hobbs & Shaw.

OK, since the actresses that are part of the shortlist have not yet been announced (aside for vanessa kirby ofc)... here are my list to play catwoman:

Alexandra daddario:
what catches my attention of this actress are her eyes, she has that intense look in her eyes that is very characteristic of catwoman, apart she already has a little experience in roles of action (percy jackson).

Ana de armas:

I think a lot of us agree that if she gets the role it would be great! she is perfect! although I have to admit that I have not seen much of her facets as an actress.

Vanessa kirby:

We already know that she is one of the possible candidates, so I would not be surprised if we soon get the news that she will be a catwoman. Kirby as a rising star has already shown a very good acting range + this type of role fits her perfectly.

Naomi scott:

the truth is, when I saw her in Aladdin was shocked with her on-screen presence and immediately thought "I hope she can work with DC" even though she is British knows how to perfectly camouflage her accent, she also has an air of femme fatale type + she has experience with action movie.

Rebecca ferguson and natalie dormer:


although they are older than Robert Pattinson, I think they could also be excellent options, both are fantastic actresses and meet all the requirements to play catwoman.

I decided not to include eiza gonzalez because although it is a great option for the role, normally the actors who start campaigns to interpret certain characters, never end up being the selected ones.

Keira Knightley

She's been in Hollywood so long that I assumed she was around 44 years old, turns out she's only a year older than Pattinson. Not sure she'd even be interested, since she mostly tends to stay away from blockbusters and it's possible she may not like superhero movies but she's a phenomenal actress and definitely one of the most beautiful women in the world IMO. It would be nice to see her in a movie I actually want to watch, since she's mostly in romantic movies that I have no interest in.

Did you see her in Mirror Mirror, Abduction, The Blind Side, The Mortal Instruments, Les Misérables, or that Bundy movie? I did. And yet, I still get her mixed up with Emma Roberts. Not because they look anything alike, but because they're both about as memorable as D.J. Cotrona and obviously getting roles because of nepotism (unlike Cotrona, who's coasting on beauty ).

If Pattinson's Bruce made a move on her Selina, I'd expect Gordon to be like "Look, I've given you leeway on the whole vigilante thing, but..."

Yeah, she is a great actress but she definitely looks too young for the part. Now Batgirl? That might be something that would be a better fit for her.

I still think the only thing that stands between her and getting a real shot at the role is using makeup to make herself look more mature. She usually uses it to make herself look more girl-ish, and there's so many ways you can play around with looks using different hairstyles, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc to make her look better alongside Pattinson, unlike guys that if they look boyish they can't do much about it women have a lot more resources to play around with their looks. And I honestly don't think she looks like a teenager anymore, at least not naturally.

I still stand by my thoughts that the only thing between Anya and becoming a Catwoman frontrunner is makeup and hairstyle, she's obviously not gonna look the same as she does in The Witch if she plays Selina lmao. But I guess we'l have to wait and see. Her unconventional features also help too, they're too cat-like to not give her a shot at Catwoman.
