Justice League The #CavillMVP Superman Movement Thread

Now a question, do I upload the video to youtube, and get one person/account on FB, TW each etc to share it, then everyone share that FB/TW's post, to put all the likes/views onto the same place?

or should the twitter person just upload it, and FB account upload the video separately?

I like Cavill as a person. He seems like a really decent guy, and it's obvious he loves the role.

But he's simply not that strong or naturally charasmatic an actor. He looks absolutely perfect, but he utterly lacks that lightening in a bottle charms that made the world fall in love with Christopher Reeve's Superman. Cracking a few jokes in Justice League is the definition of too little, too late.

Casting Superman for the big screen has to be one of the hardest jobs in showbusiness (you can cast people like Tom Welling or Tyler Hoechin for TV and get away with it, but they'd never cut it for the big screen). You not only have to look the part (tall, chiseled) but you now have to somehow live up to the mythical stature of Chris Reeve in the role. They cast Cavill on looks and hoped that they could find magic in his peformance on screen, but it was never there. Same for Brandon Routh.

If I was Warners, I'd quietly start the casting process for a new Superman. It may take years to find that actor, but it can't just be about looking the part. You need to find someone who looks like he walked out of the comics (like Cavill) but so charmingly disarming onscreen, that he doesn't become another actor who falls well short of Christopher Reeve. It's possible, but you probably have to screentest hundreds of actors, including unknowns.

Cavill should be thanked for his service. He did what he could, particularly with Snyder's vision. But unfortunately Cavill is the face of that vision, and it's hard to start fresh with him there.

There’s no harm in doing this, it may not do anything but it also may make WBs realise they do have the right guy (if they don’t already think that). I’ve already changed my profile pic on Twitter and have tweeted the #MVP pic. I’ll change that to the #CavillMVP image and tweet the image.

Please don't let Snyder's amateur direction sway you from the fact that Cavill (as an actor and person) had BAGS of charm and charisma and I suggest that you confirm this by watching Man from UNCLE and the tudors TV show.
There a reason why he was *this close* to being cast as James Bond in Casino Royale.
To me he isn't just a lightening in a bottle but also the holy grail, the boy just needs the right material and the right director (Vaughn).

Fanta\S/tic!

Good to see your re-energized twitter account Tra-El :yay:

Awesome guys :yay:

Quite simply, Henry is Superman. I've said all along, many in this particular thread will have, he is the role, he embraces every facet as as a person, as an actor, as a human being.

WB, you would be out of your minds to drop him from the role, don't even consider it, you are in a dark hole right now as a studio, that hole will feel even deeper if you let go of hope.

Henry, know we collectively are behind you, we always have been, forever will be. In darkness, in light, we may stumble, we may fall, but we will join you in the sun.

Off to bed, will be back in the morning to act on any suggestions!

Cavill has always been good as Superman, but with Jl i felt like he was truly at last Superman. Magic .:ilv:

or should the twitter person just upload it, and FB account upload the video separately?

I think all the likes and views in one place is better, so you can post your video on twitter and on facebook etc. Use hashtags so that people can find it

So are we using the existing petition?

Some people were speculating Cavill might be let go due to being so heavily associated with Snyder's trilogy, which WB is clearly eager to move away from.

Which I think would be stupid. Like I said, the writing and handling of the character wasn't his fault.

That would mean bye bye ww and aquaman. That would be stupid.

Cavill is my favourite live action Superman.

Dude deserves another solo film.

Good actor, and a great guy.

Ok so I discussed this with a friend, and we tried to put it on youtube and share YT on FB and twitter, both came up with screen cap only, you have to click to let it play.

I uploaded a random video on twitter but when use FB to share it, only screen cap, uploaded vid on FB, share it with twitter, only the link appeared.

So should I get the vid uploaded on my FB, and my twitter, or should I send the vid to you harley to upload on your plateform since it has lots of followers?

anyone know how to start a petition?

Wow I'm very surprised and over the moon to see fans of your caliber coming out and joining the course, and very humbled to see fans coming out to support Henry :ilv:

When will your article be published?

Please post it here as well and we'll start spreading it like wildfire :oldrazz:

Thanks Greenlite :)

Publication turnaround is usually pretty quick – maybe 1-2 days after I submit it. If I'm going to be referencing and linking to the petition and any relevant tweets etc in the article, it might be a good idea to wait until enough people have signed... so maybe a few days after all the RTing and sharing begins on the 5th?

In the meantime, if anyone comes across any interesting/funny tweets or articles that might be good to include in the piece (eg. https://***********/kentwaynes/status/933036600572887040) please feel free to PM me them!

If nothing else, it will be good for Cavill to see how much the fans want him back as Supes. And if that (devastatingly) doesn't happen, it only reflects poorly on WB's decision making, and not his portrayal of Superman.

I love Cavill and Superman, but I'm not seeing him staying after what the Snyderverse has done. :(

Thanks Elle_2288

I'm hoping to get everything ready in the next day or 2 to spread the info leading up to the 5th, but after the 5th is a good idea.

That's a very funny tweet there, come on people, post some more for Elle =)

So are we starting a new petition or using the one that someone else already started?

https://www.change.org/u/308378989

I'm not sure, harley thinks we should start one, there's already one but with like 40 signatures only, the petition needs to have people updating on it etc

someone need to do the updates manually right? I can give it a crack....but can someone give me what to write? grammar is not my strong suit lol.

Hi GL, if you are able to word something am happy to run the rule over it, for spelling and grammar, if you would like in a PM trade. I'm no Shakespeare but happy to help in any way I can.
