Rhodey lives and is almost healed in 15 minutes!

"Almost healed"? Dude could barely stand on his feet even with the help of another person and a fictional advanced exoskeleton. By himself he's probably as helpless as Brann Stark.

Saw the movie today-- bloody spectacular. Easily my favourite MCU movie.

question without giving away the how I've read that cap wins his fight agasint spidey, I knew that would probably happen being a cap movie and all but if so does spidey manage to give cap a good fight?

Oh he does, but in the end it's pretty evident that Cap is just far more trained and experienced, despite the power difference. Spidey is only 6 months into his powers

To be fair, nearly everyone puts up a good fight though. I was especially surprised with Falcons improved skill and ability set.

Yes, it was sad.

Reading Jaxon's comment is like we haven't seen the same movie.

Oh wait, no one ever dies.

This is a complaint I don't get. Especially for this Movie. The whole fight makes it clear that they were holding back. The whole Airport battle was a fight between friends, who don't share the same opinion. Warmachine uses a sonic device and a stun baton, Ironman tells Natasha in the middle of the battle his plan was to take it easy, Spidey is supposed to simply run around and incapacitate everyone he can. Heck, even Natasha asks Clint if they're still friends, as they beat the crap out of each other, before Wanda had to step in, noting that Clint wasn't giving it his all.

For team Ironman, the whole battle was a fight to prevent worse things from happening later. No one in that battle was fighting to kill, with the exception of Black Panther. Heck, the only reason Goliath even died in the comics, was because there was a crazed artificially designed Thor running around.

For a guy who's power set is basically just flying, yeah, they really made him shine. He had a bunch of sweet moves in the movie.

Yes he was definitely better. Worked well as a part of the initial team that took on Crossbones and his guys.

It was soft. He and Tony were joking around it completely mitigated any issue from the fight. And the fight was just a show not a fight so although it was a nice dance it just didn't mean anything.

I think you're confused. It might have been a show for viewers (and a darn good while we're at it) but in-universe, it was certainly not. Blood might not have been shed but emotions were frayed and friendships sullied. It couldn't have been brutal because neither side fought to kill or if possible, seriously injure.

I heard Cap beats the **** out of Iron Man. But in the trailers you see Cap beaten down and tirwd and getting ***** slapped across the room. So my question is,

How much damage did Tony do?

Well to begin with not all that much damage, both of them were holding their own. He started doing more damage after Friday started analysing Cap's fighting style since Cap was easily beating him hand to hand. But Cap refused to back down and Bucky then tripped Iron Man up and that's when Cap got the upper hand.

So we are at the point where the movie had no stakes because no one died lol. I can't wait to see it again this Friday, it's been hell waiting weeks after the advance screening.

No stakes? Half of the Avengers are fugitives now. Does that not count? Why does someone need to die for there to be stakes?

Best Marvel movie to date. Ant Man and Spidey stole the show easily. I kind of wish they would have killed Rhodey too honestly,. would have been a "**** just got real" moment imo. Not that im mad they kept him alive,. Cheadle has owned the role,. Just that an Avengers death imo would have shocked the entire team and been a great way to end the fighting at the airport (best fight scene in CB movie history btw)

Exactly. Besides believe me people are gonna die in IW.

Technically T'Chaka and Crossbones died

What I love is that they've given Cap What I can only describe as "Improvisational Forward Momentum" as a fighting style.
Ever since I saw how artist Bryan Hitch interpreted his action scenes in comics, I've always hoped they'd keep it for films. It really hammers home the split second strategy of the guy and how he's in the top tier of hand to hand fighters in the world. And not just because he's mastered a catalogue of different fighting styles.
The guy learns from every experience and uses what works. It's especially starts being noticeable in Winter Soldier. Cap takes some hits first, than comes back after seeing what he's up against. His fight with Batroc, and almost every fight he's in in this film (Spidey, Black Panther, etc.)
He's basically a GRACEFUL HUMAN BATTERING RAM.
And it plays into the visual language of the shield.
Damn I respect the hell out of the choreographers.

Speaking of Hitch, I pointed my observation out to him on the twitters.

That only Cap, WS, and IM turn up to Zemo's "trap" at the end?

LOL. I see some ******** from fans of a certain failure ( can't call that a movie).

Tony had steve's fighting pattern analyzed in the final fight. ..then proceed to land a couple of hits on
cap. do you guys think that steve has a way of countering that? if the fight had gone on for another 15 mins?

Steve manage to win spidey though experience and strategies. do you think steve can overcome a machine? who analyzes his fighting patterns?

Someone needs to compile a list of the top 20 superhero movie deaths. I know the deaths of Quicksilver and Coulson have had a profound impact on me and have become major cultural events in themselves. Just can't imagine either movie without them!

Hard to say.
I think Steve might've lost that one had Bucky not provided the momentary distraction.
But the point of Cap is his unwillingness to go down.

I don't think he'd win if it went on for 15 minutes against something that was analysing him like that as the extended time is what would would allow the analysis and response to be more effective. But if it stayed in close quarters and didn't last long then yes.
