The Clinton Thread II

According to the AFP, Bill Clinton has been named one of the 'guests of honour' for the annual 'Life Ball' held in Vienna on July 17th.

That is why I wanted Hillary to win, so Bill would help her out. I would have voted for Hillary.

I still cannot believe he's friends with Mick Jagger, although somehow, that may not be that surprising after all since he probably grew up listening to the Rolling Stones.

I do like the fact that Bill sometimes uses Darrell Hammond.

Well, there was much more that went unreported while he was Governor. I had problems with all of that as well, but I liked how he worked with a Republican Congress....IF the Republican Party wins back Congress, I don't think Obama can do that.....AND THIS Republican leadership IS NOT the Republican leadership of the 90's.

I completely agree. President Obama is not on the level of President Clinton, and the Boehner/McConnell GOP leadership is not on the level of the 90's. As much as I cannot stand Gingrich and the like, at least they were able to work across the aisle when they needed to. These idiots today are only concerned with themselves.

It is being reported that President Obama will not be attending Chelsea Clinton's wedding this weekend.

Bill looks extremely thin (and old)...

I thought he looked pretty good.

I noticed how the Clintons are still friends with Ted Danson and Mary Steenbergen.

He's definitely thinner, but that is a good thing I think....

Yeah, I see it as him trying to keep in shape after a heart surgery rather than him being sickly. No more Mickey Ds for President Clinton.

I really cannot fathom how the far left thinks a centrist like Hillary will be more friendly to them than Obama. But if he wants to waste his money go ahead.

Hillary remembers what Ted Kennedy almost did to his legacy and to the party itself in 1980. She will wait out 2012. She will finish out her term as Secretary of State in 2012 no matter how the election turns out. She can write a book about it, become a cable personality and begin quietly to campaign for 2016 as no matter who wins in 2012, she will be the DNC nominee that year.

But whatever. Obama has done more for the progressive agenda than either Clinton or any Democrat since LBJ, but there is no public option and he isn't fighting for gay marriage so he is a traitor to the cause. Meanwhile the rest of the country realizes the reason he is unpopular isn't because his policies aren't liberal enough...it's because we have 9.5% UNEMPLOYMENT and 2010's modest signs of recovery stalled after a few months and we're stuck in limbo waiting to see if we wake up or not.

Sorry the far left annoys almost as much as Tea Partiers.

I'm not far left. :cwink:

I'd have a very hard time seeing Hillary run in 2012. I think she'll wait for 2016 if she decides to run again.

I was referring to the guy who paid for the ads. Don't worry.
