The Clinton Thread II

Careful SV,

Cruz is the best debater and the best politician in the sense of using the rules to his advantage among both groups.

I just think it will be real easy to put Cruz in a box and paint him up as some extreme conservative ideolog. I think the 2013 government shutdown is really going to hurt Cruz. The fact he is now polling with more unfavorable numbers then Clinton, speaks volumes. Wait until the Clinton campaign machine go on the warpath and expose Cruz for the guy he is

He's calling her a witch and Lady Macbeth. Seriously?

Using grown up language in these types of debates is important. But then again, I don't think Taarna is a grown up.

You high lighted the whole sentence and used a vague term without explaining why u used it.

Taarna should reframe from using names BUT a few Liberals here have called Trump, Cruz, Allen and other GOP candidates immature names as well. So what is good for the goose should be good for the gander.

That can easliy be spinned to show that Obama went out of his way to make shutdown look as painful as possible as way to make the GOP look bad. People sin stuff all the time.

Your Liberal vs. Conservative rhetoric is getting boring.

Question, how is that "misogyny"? Is it because you dislike that comment? It is pretty factual that Hilary has a large segment of older women supporting her. If those women educated themselves more on Hilary maybe they would stop supporting her.

Also Hilary LOVES to pull "I'm a woman" card. So isn't that sexist???

"Lady Macbeth" and "witch" are very obviously gendered insults due to their cultural and historic baggage, which makes them sexist. True, people get ugly against the GOP candidates too, but that doesn't reverse how sexist calling a female candidate a "witch" is. It'd be like calling Obama "dumb monkey" and then trying to say that's totally not racist, and that it's also ok because people make fun of the GOP all the time too.

LOL! So it is ok to call Sarah Palin sexist insults but not Hilary?

Again So no one has called any African American Conservative a "uncle tom"???

Calling someone Lady Macbeth and a witch is immature and stupid but certainly it is no near as bad as some of the things Sarah Palin, President Obama, Allen West, Dr Ben Carson and Stacey Dash have been called.

What Hilary has been accused and done of certainly does point her towards being a witch.

No one is saying it's okay to call Sarah Palin anything sexist. No one ever did. You just assume that we think it's okay but we're, what, liberals right?

Same old rhetoric. So original.

The shutdown cost 26B, pretty hard to spin that. Beyond that you can easily dig up clips of Cruz threatening shutdown for weeks and months leading up to the Government shutdown.

The Government Shutdown of 2013 will be painted as Cruz biggest accomplishment in politics.

We just need an Elektra1-approved list of names to call Hillary. Start with these:

1. Buffoon
2. Lying piece of crap
3. A-hole with an ego
4. Idiot

Elektra1 used these "grown-up language" terms to refer to Trump, so I'm sure she won't mind anyone using those against Hillary or assuming some sexism on our part if we do. :o

Obama's Comments on Clinton's E-mail Raise Concerns of Bias

President Barack Obama says he believes his former secretary of state did not intentionally endanger national security in her handling of classified information. But he also says he's not trying to influence his administration's investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server.
Hey, President Buffoon, you can't speak on these matters and then act as if you, with the most powerful position in the Executive Branch, aren't trying to wield any influence over the case. Hillary is your best shot at maintaining your pathetic legacy, and since it's all about you, you definitely are trying to influence the investigation.

Cool story, bro

Same old rhetoric. So original.

I will continue to use that rhetoric as long as Liberals use their rhetoric. Also So I guess it is ok to call males names or is it just people you don't like??

The image of WWII vets getting kicked out of their memorial will work again Obama.

The cops should have allowed those men access.

Again it seems that it is ok for Liberals to call women names. Just like what Stacy Dash, Sarah Palin, and Ann Coulter have been called. God forbid it when someone calls Hilary a name!!!

Where is your evidence of this? Are you just assuming or have you seen it specifically on this forum?

Because that's what we're talking about - specifically this forum. Not everywhere else on the internet.

There is a difference between general insults and gendered ones.

Poll: Major damage to GOP after shutdown, and broad dissatisfaction with government

Asked who they consider responsible for the impasse, 53 percent of poll respondents cite Republicans, 29 percent blame Obama and 15 percent fault both sides equally. Republicans who support the tea party movement overwhelmingly blame Obama for what happened, but among Republicans who do not back the tea party, almost as many cite congressional Republicans as name Obama or both.

Perceptions of the way Republicans handled the budget negotiations grew steadily worse through the weeks of confrontation, rising from 63 percent disapproval on the eve of the 16-day shutdown, which began Oct. 1, to 77 percent disapproval by the time it ended. Nearly three in five Republicans disapprove of their party’s handling of the negotiations.
As I said Cruz will be tied to this if he becomes the republican nominee. Thing that always made me laugh was Cruz trying to blame Democrats when their started to get a backlash. Basically like i said for weeks and months he was threatening shutdown then he gets his wish and all of a sudden it's the Democrats fault.

Hillary and Mayor de Blasio made a sketch that had a riff on "Colored People time" as one of their jokes. Between this and the "****es" line from a Bernie surrogate, it's very clear this primary needs to end soon. Please.

They are both doing things on their primary trail that make them look like clueless old white people. Just get this thing over with so I know who I'm going to need to vote for to block Trump or Cruz. I don't give a **** anymore.

The primaries are way too long in the age of 24 hour news and mass communication.

I believe that the Democrats deserve a bit of blame. They wanted the shutdown because they knew that the GOP would get blamed and they would benefit politically from it and they were moving the goal posts for a deal a bit. That said, the GOP deserves the vast majority of the blame for being dumb enough to actually go through with it. If the GOP were more amiable, the Democrats wouldn't have caused a shutdown like the GOP did and Tea Parties like Cruz were dumb enough to play right into Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosis' hands.

Even with the Democrats deserving some of the blame for the shutdown, the GOP still deserves 95% of the blame for their stupidity on that one.

The trouble is Clinton has to be careful of putting anyone in a box as she has too many scandals. Cruz, however, can engage Clinton here, and whenever Clinton tries to defender herself, she makes it worse.

No one cares or remembers about 2013 event that did not happen. Cruz negative polling ratings have a lot to do with Trump supporters. Most of it will go away once Trump wins the nomination.

Republican dream Ticket that could make peace:

Pres Trump
VP Kasich
Surgeon General Carson
Attorney General or Supreme court pick Cruz

The only thing in that above scenario that even comes close to peaceful is Kasich, good lord have mercy on the rest. Geeeez....

Independents like myself will run for hills with that line up. Women will run for the hills with that line up....

YA NEED BOTH TO WIN THE ELECTION. :)

I would absolutely love this lineup to be what the GOP puts forth. It would be decimated in the general election.

It honestly baffles me that Trump supporters think that people will support him in the general election.

Hahaha holy ****, what a dream team for having a landslide Dem victory. If Trump's rhetoric wasn't so actively harmful, I would outright celebrate Trump and Carson on the same ticket. Months of entertainment culminating in the GOP losing the White House and possibly Congress.

Trump is a populist, although I think he will lose in a general election I do think he could shift a bit to the center and craft a message that might have a punchers chance of winning in a general election(a message that no other Republican would even try create)

I think Trump's message of the system being rigged plus attacking Hillary taking money from big business will win over some support Republicans usually don't get. When you add that to the I Hate Clinton crowd that might just be enough to squeak out an election
