Wait...

What if The Joker makes them THINK he killed Rachel, causing Dent to break his rules, and Batman to bend his quite a bit...and then she turns up alive and well?

Now that would be a joke.
Gordon fills that role already, to a point.

Oh, the whole
"Gordon faking his death" thing
. I hope that's not an actual plot point.

crap i dont want that to be in the movie
the gordon thing
not the joker and dawes thing

I assure you, it is.

That just feels really forced. It really feels like a way to limit Gordon's screentime/development.

Anyone want to take bets on whether or not Batman saves The Joker from Two-Face?

"Joker. Run."

I didn't see this posted, so here ya'll go....

EDIT: You all want a warning, here's your warning.......RACHEL DIES!!!

Aaron Eckhart talks about Two-Face

guys, i just realized that they based dark knight off of the comics books "the killing joke" and "the long halloween". When dent said his fiance (idk if i spelt that correctly) died, it might be his "soon-to-be-bride" gilda because in The Long Halloween, Gilda is Dent's wife. After Batman and Harvey Dent lights all of Carmine Falcone's stock piled cash ( which in the comic, they go to all of falcone's cash, which is piled in a warehouse from the floor to the ceiling), Dent goes home on halloween and his wife said they got a weird pakage. The package soon explodes, however only injuring Gilda sending her to the hospital.

If this sounds noobish, im sorry

Were does Loeb's funeral fit into the timeline? Because we see Rachel at the funeral.

Gilda Dent is not in TDK. Harvey's love interest is Rachel Dawes.

So?

Rachel will not die.

Bruce's party is a victory one for Dent becoming DA, and apparently occurs before Loeb has a disagreement with a bomb. If Rachel is present at his funeral, and it occurs after the party, it means that Rachel doesn't die at the party. But possibly later on.

But there wasn't another funeral scene filmed. Was there? I mean, I don't think we heard anything about that.

There doesn't really have to be a funeral scene for her. The Waynes didn't have one - just a crowd wearing black and some umbrellas. Granted, it was just after the funeral, but we didn't actually see it.

You need to buy one of those things Tommy lee Jones used in MIB that erases your memory. You also need somebody to give you a new memory lol.

Right, but I'm sure something would slipped out. I mean, this board covered the filming to every inch..

Yeah, I see, but if nothing was filmed then there'd be nothing to slip :)

here's the thing about the whole rachel dawes thing...WB is so tight lipped and keeps everything on lock down that I dont think they would let a major article with one of the major actors slip through the cracks to spoil the movie b/c of the rachel dawes thing...i feel like that would be a big deal

but then again

TRINITY DIES IN THE MATRIX 2LOLOLOLOL

Eric Roberts has revealed some pretty major spoilers in interviews as well. Eckhart has said some other stuff in previous interviews too.

Hey just got my copy of Total Film and there a three page spread about Eckhart.

I have condensed it considerable because alot of it is not relevant.

Here is intro and the Two-Face, TDK stuff.

There is also a full page with a new photo of him with a cigarette in his hand looking cool. I will get some scans up after work.

Not a great deal of new info but it is a good read I thought.

Interview:

“They don’t give anything away anymore!”
Aaron Eckhart would like an iPhone.
Forget the tech-spangled gadget goodies that are dangling from Batman’s utility belt, Gotham’s crusading District Attorney Harvey Dent would settle for Apple’s latest design orgasm, but…
“I’ve stopped thing people will give you stuff if you mention them”, laughs the 40-year-old Californian- born in Cupertino, the home of Apple no less.
“I was always waiting for Harley-Davidson to give me a motorcycle for Ein Brockovich and it never arrived…”

This isn’t quite the shameless blag it appears to be- Eckhart is actually mussing on how fame may affect him after The Dark Knight opens 25th July, scorching all before it.
We suggest he should do a wish-list of collaborators too, because once people see TDK, he’s going to go global.
“Well, directors-wise there’s a lot of people out there. Ridley Scott, Paul Thomas Anderson…”

Until now, Eckhart has had a know-the-face career. His first gig, as the misanthropic Chad in Neil LaBute’s devastating dissection of sexual games, In The Company Of Men, made an immediate impact with the cine-smart movie-goers, but he hasn’t come close to above-the-title stardom in his 13 years front of camera. This might be because he’s too interesting- his taste too eclectic.

So now the next one…Playing the character Nolan calls ‘the backbone’ of TDK, Harvey Dent. In a blockbuster bursting with mirrored images and duality- The Joker is the anarchistic refraction of Batman’s dark heart- Dent is an image of what BruceWayne might have been had his parents no been gunned down.
Chipper, smart, charming and glowing with integrity, he’s an idealistic lawyer tasked with bringing Gotham’s seedy streets: the ”White Knight” dealing justice in the daytime, just as Batman rules the night.

Today, Total Film is talking to him in the gleaming LA sunshine- mid 8os, might go higher- as he lolls about, waiting for whatever the next gig may be. He’s just wrapped on Travelling, a romantic comedy with Jennifer Ansiton.
“You don’t sound so excited about that…” he grins

It’s not hard to see why Nolan cast Eckhart as Gotham’s legal eagle. He has all-American looks coupled with a European, debonair sensibility.
He can nail smart and charismatic but he’s also a fighter.
And as anyone familiar with Loeb’s glorious graphic novel TLH or Schumacher’s rather less acclaimed Batman Forever- will know, Dent has a dark side…

“Horrifying things happen to Harvey,” confirms Eckhart, treading carefully through a potentially spoiler filled character chat.
“As is well documented in the comic books, he sort of loses his mind and loses his senses and er, I believe Harvey believes his motives are pure, from his own perspective maybe he’s going too far…”

How far is a question we’ll have to wait to answer until we see the film, but on paper Dent-or Two Face, as he becomes- is one of Batman’s most ruthless, complex foes.
When the pursuit of justice leaves Harvey-as Eckhart says, figuratively swiping away his own cheek with “half his face destroyed”, the damage is mental as well as physical.
Dent becomes obsessed with chance, deciding his victims fate on the toss of a defaced coin.
“The ramdomness of what’s happened to him can be summed up in the random toss of a coin,” says Eckhart. “It’s either/or. Some people think life is that way…Life can be so out of whack, sometimes you just think ‘I can’t see a pattern here, it’s all chaos.’”

That’s kind of cynical…
“Its very cynical,” says Eckhart. “But he’s had acid poured on his face!”
He laughs and rocks back on his chari.

Of course, Eckhart isn’t the first actor to take on Two Face.
His co-star in The Missing, Tommy Lee Jones, played him in Schumachers first effort.
Now there’s someone you don’t want to get on the wrong side of…
“I hadn’t thought about that” he laughs. “I don’t know if he’s going to come looking for me! Maybe I should get some new security.”

Nice, is the rest of the article really that irrelevant though? I'm sure I'd like to still read it though..
