Why is Wall-E so darn cute, dammit!

Johnny 5 is alive!

Great interview.

I really starting to get more hype of seeing Harvey's transfromation inTDk than how wild and insane the Joker's antics wil be.

I was only a lurker here at the time but I distinctly remember that argument. It was around the time that Ledger kept referring to the joker as a mask in interviews ("can't wait to put on that mask") while the majority of people understood what Ledger was saying a few though that Ledger was serious and Nolan was taking REALISM to far.

The discussion about the "mask" was all over Youtube, too. "Is he wearing a mask?" people would ask after watching the Joker cam videos (filmed by fans close to the set). Since they knew about the Heath quote about masks and the lighting in and quality of those vids was rather bad and the white of his face stood out so much, they thought he's wearing a white mask.

In general I love it when fans analyze and overanalyze every line an actor has said about their role. It's fun and this is why we're here, eh? :yay: Some truly epic posts come out of it in the end.

Meh, mostly what we heard before. Though the stuff about Two Face's psyche is interesting, how he becomes obsessed with chance. Obviously with the whole coin thing, but maybe it's alluding to something in the plot. Maybe Dent had half a chance of escaping or something.

I'm 100% positive they did not want him to wear a mask.

Out of jest someone mentioned that instead of Harvey being scarred he'll just put half a mask on his face because scarring is unrealistic.

No one was serious about it. Though, there were a few crazies who wanted Joker to eat babies and the movie to be rated R...
Ofcourse the irony is the Joker in a way does wear a mask!

Ledger described his "clown" mask, made up of three pieces of stamped silicone , as a "new technology", much quicker to apply than regular prosthetics, and he felt that he was barely wearing any make-up at all.[17] It took only an hour for the make-up artists to apply to Ledger's face.[12]

Zombie spelt like someone who's from Jamaica:woot: he does wear a mask made silicon as I have posted. I thought the flesh looked a tad rubbery, so they're you go.

I'm talking about the early interview where he referred to putting on the mask in terms of taking on an interesting character.... the one (well two) which caused some to assume Joker would, like Scarecrow, have an actual mask.

Oh:o right, I'll shut up now. At least it's true he's wearing a mask both metaphorically and physically. :csad:

Hmm, what have I been saying from the very beginning. Its acid.

ok ok maybe the acid boat has won this regatta...but what if he was only talking about two face as he is described in the comics? not how its gonna be done in the movie?

Why would he do that? Thats twice now that he has said acid.

yes he talked bout two face and two face gets acid in his face but he never said its gonna be like that in the movie...maybe its a tactical way to not reveal how they gonna do it in the film...i mean i don't know it and i don't suggest it either ...i just guess:-)

The "mask" he refers to are the separate silicon pieces that get applied. The scars on the left and right and the lower lip scars make up his "mask". Also, he has that full mask that he uses in the prologue..

acid mothe****as, deal with it.

Hell yeah! If that isn't 100% proof it's acid and not fire then I don't know what to say. Two times he's said it in interviews.

That barrel of gasoline is someone trying to scare or intimidate him.

I think its kind of lame that his face is dipped in that liquid (as seen in the trailer - if thats not acid)... and its the exact same side of his face that later gets splashed with acid...

I totally agree and am genuinely intrigued to see just what happens. It would be very strange indeed to have him twice exposed to having his face damaged in the space of one movie with the burning only occuring the second time around.

well, he confirmed acid and the coin, I'm happy

I think Eckhart is a fantastic choice for Dent, I really do. But I do worry now that Ledger is gone, that the 3rd film will be disappointing. I imagine Two-Face will be the main nemesis in #3, and I have a hard time seeing Eckhart in that super-villain role. But Nolan has a history of interesting actor choices, so it might be great. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

He confirmed the acid back on the Today Show months ago, overall good read. Cant wait to see that picture

From looking at that pic, I'm not even sure that his face is being dipped in liquid. His face looks sweaty, and maybe its just on a really shiny surface?

This could be from a variety of scenes.
Maybe he is being held down by one of the Joker's goons while the Joker throws Rachel off the building.
Maybe he is being threatened by the mob, and they are just holding him down.
Maybe he's just found out Rachel, or Loeb, or the Mayor or someone else has died, and this is his reaction.

Who knows? I guess we might have to wait til July for this one.

I'm sure its not him being scarred though, because it is in a dark room/area and the courtroom would be much brighter than that.

I'm willing to bet that scene is just the mob trying to scare him. Then later they actually throw the acid on him.
