lol, i tried to tell you guys - ACID.

Look, I do believe they try acid as a last resort. Dent is persuing them from before TDK starts. I'm pretty sure they try and kill him more than once. Then he captures them and they're going to trial or w/e, and it happens.

For crying out loud.......READ THE SIDES.

From looking at that pic, I'm not even sure that his face is being dipped in liquid. His face looks sweaty, and maybe its just on a really shiny surface?

This could be from a variety of scenes.
Maybe he is being held down by one of the Joker's goons while the Joker throws Rachel off the building.
Maybe he is being threatened by the mob, and they are just holding him down.
Maybe he's just found out Rachel, or Loeb, or the Mayor or someone else has died, and this is his reaction.

Who knows? I guess we might have to wait til July for this one.

I'm sure its not him being scarred though, because it is in a dark room/area and the courtroom would be much brighter than that.

His face is pressed up against a desk and that is liquid on the desk. You can clearly see it in the video. The shot is superbly symbolistic with the reflection on the desk forming the left side of his face that is about to be burned away.

YEAH.....completely forgot this.......:wow:I still do have them in my private docs as a matter of fact !

The sides are definitely a good indication of how scenes are going to turn out. While the bank robbery turned out a little different than the sides, they haven't been wrong yet.

yep....my thoughts exactly ! The dialogues of the prologue have even been upgraded since the sides' version IMO (there was no "I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger" if I remember well..... it has become quite of a classic around here:woot::woot:)!

BANK MANAGER - You have any idea who you're stealing from? You and your friends are dead.

The thug isn't bothered

BANK MANAGER (Cont'd) - You idiot. What makes you think the guy who hired you isn't going to kill you, too?

The Thug STOPS. Crouches over him. In the distance: SIRENS.

GENTLE VOICE - Call it a hunch.

The man PULLS off his MASK. The Bank Manager GASPS, horrified at the face staring back at him.

GENTLE VOICE (Cont'd) - It's rude to stare.

It was definitely improved upon in the prologue.

I agree.

The sides are probably from a first or second draft of the script, so there will be some changes, while some dialogue/scenes will remain intact.

I'm making a big deal out of it but I'm not forgiving myself for forgetting the famous sides with the "I'll show you hostile !":woot::o

I was so hyped at that time when I first discovered it !

When the pursuit of justice leaves Harvey-as Eckhart says, figuratively swiping away his own cheek with “half his face destroyed”, the damage is mental as well as physical.
Dent becomes obsessed with chance, deciding his victims fate on the toss of a defaced coin.
“The ramdomness of what’s happened to him can be summed up in the random toss of a coin,” says Eckhart. “It’s either/or. Some people think life is that way…Life can be so out of whack, sometimes you just think ‘I can’t see a pattern here, it’s all chaos.’”

That’s kind of cynical…
“Its very cynical,” says Eckhart. “But he’s had acid poured on his face!”
He laughs and rocks back on his chari.

”

Again, like I have said before, Eckhart has stated that he gets ACID poured on his face - its not burned by burning gasoline. Rest-assured my friends, and give Nolan some freakin' credit

the design of this new robot so much reminds me of Johnny 5, kinda like a design ripoff to me.

Amen! I totally feel you on that and it's pretty damn obvious that the Wall-E design was not original. Still, he is pretty cool lookin :yay:

For the love of God, are people still talking about Harvey's face being burned by gas?

Jesus Christ, people. He's said it TWICE now. It's acid.

Just stop. It's getting sad.

wall-e is johnny's little brother ...a prototype of new war machines ...and we better love em;-)

At least Eckhart didnt give away more spoilers this time before we have no more surprises left for the movie. Hmmm Wall-E looks like a robot E.T.

Anyone think this scene is a dream or as others suggested a threat/warning by the mob that Nolan did to intentually throw us of? We all know Dent becomes Two Face, it's nothing Nolan is keeping a secret or suprise to the public. So I'm just wondering if this scene was done to throw people off, so when we see it the movie we all go "this is it!" and instead he comes away unscathe. Then later, when it actually does happen it will be a little bit more of a surprise.

I agree. I don't know about a dream, but really, really don't think this is him being scarred.

Doubt it's a dream myself, just suggesting anything other than the actual scarring moment.

I gotcha.

I know for a fact he is scarred in a courtroom, and that doesn't look like a courtroom to me.

What if the liquid he is in there in the trailer is some sort of catalyst? What if it is the scarring scene, and whatever is poured out of the barrel reacts with whatever liquid is on the floor that causes it to be acidic? I'm sure there has to specific chemicals out there that don't become harmful until mixed.

Lol.
We are thinking way too far into this.
Eckhart said twice that its acid, and it is poured onto his face.
