In 1801, The Deacon family has a son. Their first born son, his name is Robert Deacon.

1840, After years of hiding, Robert Deacon comes out. Committing a string of murders against those who he finds corrupt. Including too, but not limited to murderers, rapists, kidnappers etc.

1860, Robert Deacon is stabbed in the heart with a wooden stake by one of Queen's men. Successfully killing him.

Present day, A silent protector stalks the streets...

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yes

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

"Chance, I'm in a real jam at the coffee shop. I can't pull this one off without some help."

"Well, sucks to be you! Ha, just kidding" He replied with a smile, his cajun accent ever present as he smarted off to the secret agent. "I'll be dhere in a moments notice".

__

A little smirk crept up his pale white face as he entered into the coffee shop. His hair turned snow white and his eyes scarlet as his joy grew.

"Hehehe, we got him now!" said a goon with a M-16 pointed at the head of Light Starks, obviously not noting Chance's entrance. "Now, this won't h--Ukk!" His sentence was cut off as a single playing card that was thrown by Chance entered into his throat and cut off his vocal cords. The card boomeranged back into the dark gambler's hands however not before it cut into the heads of other oncoming assassins.

Flicking the bloodied card to the ground, he flipped over the oncoming fire. As he landed infront of Light and the others, he crouched down and grabbed the sub machine gun off the assailants corpse, slowly picking off the remaining ones.

RATTA TATTA TAT!!

The room was full of corpses, and it was in part thanks to the Ace of Spades with only a deck of cards and a gun barely full of ammo.

Turning around to Light, he smirked once more.

"Show-off" Light said rolling his eyes. "Atleast it's over" Light continued.

"It's never over, Mon Ami" He replied...

Create a Hero RPG SEASON III Application

Character you have created: Carson Knight
Alias: Midnight Man

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Franklin Gothic Medium, Size 2

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Secret

Character Personality: Despite the casualties in his life, Carson has a cool and relaxed personality. He is not one to let his emotions explode and get out of control. But what Carson is most defined by is his heroism. Carson will nearly never turn down the chance to save one's life, no matter the bashing or consequence he might recieve. However, despite being a detective, Mr. Knight has a knack of jumping into things without thinking, a fact that hurts him and others. His quest for revenge sometimes blinds him as well. So while he loves to be a hero, his revenge gets in the way.

Uniform/costume: A big, silver M stretched over the sleves and his chest on a skintight, black suit. He also wears a black domino mask in the same shape as Nightwing's.

Origin Info/Details: Carson Knight always wanted to be a hero. With his father being a cop and his mother a lawyer, it was hard not to aspire being a hero. Carson collected comic books depicting caped crusaders, listened to his dad's tales of life on the force, and donned a Captain America costume every Halloween.

But life took a vicious turn. When the ambitious boy turned 10, a group of men murdered his parents and hauled his sister away right in front of him. No reason was given, which was the part Carson resented the most. Having no one to go to, Carson had to live in a boy's home for the next 10 years of his life.

After graduating from high school, Carson became a dective-for-hire, investigating crimes in exchange for cash by combining skills taught to him by Marco Mancetti, a detective that had once worked with his father, and techniques gathered from the assortment of comic books he had read in his youth. Not exactly the greatest teaching, but according to how many people selected him over the fishy detectives that worked for the force, he was good.

Eventually, someone noticed his talent as he recieved a vist from a man dressed in black, claiming to be from a secretive organization named STRIKE. Soon enough, Knight was an agent for one of the biggest spy organizations in the world, a job he loved.

But he got curious. He figured that a group containing so much information could possibly know who took his parent's lives. Getting into the database by intimidating a fellow agent known for his fantastic hacking skills, Carson easily found the information he was looking for. Warren Schimdt, a former business man who desires the world under his control, headed the group that murdered the Knights. Apparently, it had been a big deal at STRIKE as Schimdt exemplified traits of a metahuman, a very rare find at that time.

So while he fufilled his agent duties, he continued to try and track down Schidmt. After around a year of searching, Carson finally recieved a nice stroke of luck; Schimdt came to New York. But Knight wasn't assigned to combat the terrorist. Not listening to his commanders, Knight snuck off with the armed group designated to fight the villain. Carson was punished for his disobeying; Schimdt showcased his abilities by unleashing a blast of radiation upon the attacking forces, which included Carson.

Awaking in a hospital, Carson found out he has been in a coma for a whole year and completely missed the recent, catastrophic alien invasion. But Carson will soon discover he has garnered some new abilities that'll change his life forever.

Hero Type (Select one): Energy (Dark)

Power Level (Select one below):

3. World Level
.

Powers (Be Specific): Carson has the ability to produce and manipulate darkness from an unknown dimension. One of his more prominent powers is shaping dark energy into complex shapes, such as handcuffs or even a lasso. Other things he can do with the darkness is: travel in the shadows, make the area around him dark and project dark energy blasts from his palms.

The blast also granted him superhuman attributes. Carson is a gifted detective and is a good shot with a pistol.

Attributes:

Strength Level: 5 tons

Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 30 MPH

Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours

Agility: 15X

Intelligence: Criminology and Science: Genius/ Everything Else: Average

Fighting Skill: Trained

Resources: Average

Weaknesses: Overexposure to light weakens him greatly and light energy blasts are his ultimate downfall. Carson also has the same weaknesses of a normal person. But his greatest weakness is his quest for revenge, sometimes making him appear to be a selfish, vengeful outcast.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):

Taylor Broughton, a agent of STRIKE that often worked with Carson. Broughton is extremely loyal to his leaders, always carrying out orders without complaint. Taylor has now been ordered to meet with his former co-worker but his intentions are unknown.

Norman James a.k.a Paladin, New York City's golden child, is the ideal superhero. Armed with cosmic-level strength and supersonic flight, Paladin is praised as the city's ultimate protector. Paladin's primary power is the ability to manipulate light energy, only adding to his perfect image.

The Justice Crusade: While Paladin is heavily praised, New York's resident superhero team The Justice Crusade is smacked with criticism. They're full of outlaws and criminals. They're destructive. They're just simply out of control. And it's true. All members have had trouble with the law and are now seeking redemption. They leave destruction behind them. And as Carson will soon find out, they are a pack of crazy mutha****ers.

Warren Schidmt, the target of Carson's revenge. Schidmt has planted his roots of evil all over the world and desires for the Earth to be under his control. Schidmt especially has his eyes on New York City, as it is the financial hub of the world.

Alonzo Garcia watched his Venezuelan village ravaged by a group of Warren Schidmt's men in search for an ancient magical artifact rumored to be in possession of one of their elder residents. Believing that all Americans were ruthless savages, Alonzo traveled to New York City to wreck havoc in the Big Apple. Alonzo is a master martial artist and also has a mastery of chi, making him a very dangerous foe.

Laurie Holley was Carson's best friend in high school. She always seemed to have Carson's back, through thick and thin. However, when Carson joined STRIKE, they didn't see each other again. Now her beautiful face is beaming down at him as he awakes from his coma....

List a few reasons why you've created that character:

1. I want to portray a character that has potential to be very powerful but doesn't have a clue how to use his gifts.

2. The path I set for him enables me to focus alot on his supporting cast and rouges gallery.

3. I have a pretty good idea for his story

What can you bring to the RPG?: I feel like I am a decent RPer, with a character and story with the potential to be a good read.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yes

Sample Post:

A year. They say I've been knocked out for a whole year. I've wasted a whole year of my life in a damn hospital bed. Do you know how that feels? No birthday. No Christmas. No New Year's. Just a whole year of my life gone. And it's all because of Warren Schimdt.

Warren Schimdt. He killed my parents. He kidnapped my sister. He put me in a coma. One day, whether it be soon or the far future, I will get my revenge on that evil filth. I swear to it.

Enough of the negative. At least I'm alive. A blast like that should of killed me instanly. Too bad the other guys weren't so lucky.

And then there's Laurie. Standing over me with her radiant smile and glowing, tanned skin, I can only wonder why we never got together. I guess she never held any feelings for me. But still, just for her to be here, after her absence from my life for so many years, is simply amazing. I haven't even managed to let a word out of my mouth; I can only admire her beauty. But I've got to say something.

"So...how've you been?"

Character you have created: Carson Knight
Alias: Midnight Man

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Franklin Gothic Medium, Size 2

Character Alignment: Hero

Identity: Well, I'm going to have him completely disregard his birth name and be known as the Midnight Man. And as hardly anybody will recognize his face outside of people at STRIKE, the lack of a mask doesn't really hurt him in any way. So I guess its Known.

Character Personality: Despite the casualties in his life, Carson has a cool and relaxed personality. He is not one to let his emotions explode and get out of control. However, despite being a detective, Mr. Knight has a knack of jumping into things without thinking, a fact that hurts him and others. His quest for revenge sometimes blinds him as well. So while he loves to be a hero, his revenge gets in the way.

Uniform/costume: Well, the suit is rather simple. A black skintight suit going from the neck down to the feet with silver stripes going down the sides.

So I just wrapped up the Vigilante's mini-arc back in Terraria with an epilogue today...

I'll have him back in the Haven next post, might ease him in with another two part mini though since a lot of people seem to be going through things all at the same time... with Shape's comp being down, Archangel still doing his own thing, Blur and Youngster pre-occupied with their fastest man alive race which is ironically taking its sweet time ( :hehe: ) , amongst other things.

Anyone with any ideas though feel free to let me know.

Feel free to make a post in the IC thread whenever you want.

Got my computer issues cleared up....took a new hard drive to do it...but it's all set. Finally, back to normalcy

Finally wrapped up the arc I've been working on, bringing Icon back to Lost Haven.

Quick question, does the Guardians have there own Professor like Professor Hamilton? Someone we can have talk to us about our powers and trying new gadgets

Yeah, being government funded comes with a few perks. I did a short bit last season with one (though I can't remember his name) when Icon developed a new power after the invasion

I'm not dropping my characters, but I am taking a bit of a hiatus since it won't hold anyone up. I've got quite a few characters in other RPGs on my plate, so I've been taking advantage of the more laid-back pace of this one. I'll still post periodically, I'm just warning you that there may be long breaks in-between posts.

Hey, no problem. Do what you gotta do

Well...now that I got my computer back....I'm back to work on the app I lost when my hard drive crashed.

If my computer dies again, I'm abandoning this character because he is clearly a curse......:hehe:

I wondered what happened to your plans for that.

I wondered what happened to your plans for that.

Yeah, I pretty much had it all finished and ready to post for approval, then my hard drive crashed and I lost EVERYTHING on my computer.

I have a new hard drive and started from scratch. I would have started sooner, but I've been busy trying to get my stuff back. But now that's more or less squared away so I was able to get rolling on that again. I'm hoping to have it finished tomorrow or the next day, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it...looks like I'll have to go into Boston to get my dad from the hospital and bring him home which is a good long drive for me...the good news is he's doing pretty well after his heart attack on Saturday night...but now I'm rambling so I'm gonna **** now

Take your time and do what you gotta do in real life, man.
Whenever you manage to post it, I'm looking forward to reading the app.

So yeah....spent the day running around Boston and the surrounding areas...no dad though, they found something in one of their tests are doing more tests tomorrow.......

I just got home about 10 minutes ago...gonna go sit down and eat something...haven't eaten anything at all today....

I'll have some posts up by the end of the weekend, and most likely the app for my new character (which is mostly done).

Between everything going on with my dad, and tomorrow I have a going away party for my girl's brother who just got a new job in NYC...I've been alittle busy. But (hopefully) things are going to be getting back to normal this week.

Yeah, I just recently got a promotion at work and I've been struggling under the weight of organizing the new work.

Once I can figure out how to get it all done whilst leaving a little time for myself we'll see a few more posts.

Its one of the reasons I haven't made more Apps anywhere.

ok...I know I've been talking about getting an app up for another character for awhile now...but I was delayed due to a hard drive crash...but here it is...

Create a Hero RPG SEASON III Application

Character you have created: Alexander Anderson, Director of STRIKE

Alias: None

Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Dark Blue Veranda

Character Alignment: Walking the Line(for now)

Identity:To the general public, secret. Known to top level politicians

Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): Alexander is cold and calculating. He is generally distrustful of meta humans and is willing to do anything he has to do in order to keep the population of the US safe from these beings that he sees as nothing more than menaces. As the Director of STRIKE, he has access to nearly unlimited resources, and he is willing to use it all to do what he believes must be done. However, above all he is a patriot, having fought for his country nearly all his adult life. Though his days as a soldier are over, he continues to fight using the resources at his disposal to make sure that the American way of life continues.

Uniform/costume: Generally, he wears nothing but the best designer suits. However, he does occasionally like to wear a military uniform to remind those around him that he is not above getting his hands dirty.

Origin Info/Details: Growing up in a small suburb of Cleveland, Alexander Anderson always wanted more. It was because of this that the day after he turned 18 he met with an Army recruiter and soon after joined the United States Armed Services. Anderson excelled in every aspect of his service to the United States, serving first as an infantry soldier. During a routine checkpoint stop, Anderson noticed that one of the men inside was acting strangely. The man began pulling at the shirt he was wearing, trying to get at something that was being concealed. Without thinking, Anderson fired into the vehicle, killing the man and his accomplices. After searching the vehicle, it was found that the man had been trying to reach a detonator to a bomb in the trunk of the car, which would have killed not only those inside the vehicle, but there was enough explosive material to vaporize everyone within a quarter mile radius. Anderson's actions not only saved the men in his immediate vacinity, but dozens others living and working in the surrounding areas. For his actions he received several distictive honors, not the least of which was the Congressional Medal of Honor. Anderson also gained a certain amount of recognition within the Armed Services, and was eventually recruited for a covert black ops group tasked with taking out high risk targets.
On one such mission in the jungles of South America, Anderson came face to face with a meta human for the first time.
While working to assassinate a former drug lord who had elevated himself to leader of a militia that had overthrown the legitimate government of a small South American country, Anderson's unit was attacked by a man who had the ability to control electricity. Using his gifts, the man single handedly eliminated Anderson's entire unit, except for Anderson himself, and his best friend Marcus Ryder. With Ryder's help, Anderson was able to eliminate the meta, as well as the would be dictator.
After returning to the States, Anderson and Ryder were debriefed on the events on South America, and then were offered new roles in the US Military, working for a new organization that had been put together to deal with just the kind of "hostiles" that they had dealt with in the South American jungle.
Anderson accepted the position along with Ryder, and together they worked for nearly 20 years to keep the existence of Meta humans, as well as the agency known only to a few as STRIKE a complete secret. Eventually, Anderson worked his way up the ladder of the organization, at first as a field agent and then an administrator, until attaining the office of Director. With his vast resources, Anderson has continued fighting a war that began over 20 years ago in a remote jungle in South America, and has spread all over the world. A war he knows we cannot afford to lose.

Hero Type (Select one):
Normal (Non-powered characters)

Power Level (Select one below): While he has no super powers, he does control one of the largest agencies in the US Government, so I'd say World Level.

Powers (Be Specific): None

Attributes (Select one at each category):

Strength Level: Normal HumanSpeed/Reaction Timing Level: Normal HumanEndurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Normal Human

Agility: Normal Human

Intelligence: Genius

Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Extreme

Weaknesses : He is a normal human

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?):
Marcus Ryder: Best friend and former partner. Ryder is Anderson's right hand man, and still often works in the field to make sure that the nature of STRIKE's business remains a secret.
Elizabeth Powers: Anderson's personal assistant
Other agents, metas, politicians, and underlings which will be described when used.

List a few reasons why you've created that character: Since the first season, STRIKE has been a major influence in our universe, yet the organization remains a mystery. I'd like to use this character to bring some of the inner workings of STRIKE to light, and possibly make it into the force that it could be.

What can you bring to the RPG?: an interesting character who can really shake things up.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yep

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):

From behind his desk Alexander Anderson reviews the events of the last several months, and begins to feel sick. For over twenty years he has worked tirelessly to protect the people of America from the threat posed by these so-called "metahumans," both from the creatures themselves, as well as the very knowledge of their existence.

The emergence of public "heroes" such as The Blue Blur and Icon has been somewhat problematic, it was nothing that could not be handled. Afterall, the American public, as well as the rest of the world loved their self appointed protectors, so for the most part STRIKE had no need to interfere directly with their activity. The organization did however, keep close tabs on the known metas. But since the alien invasion, the superhumans have apparently come out of the woodwork. The US government even sanctioned a team of so called superheroes, "The Guardians."

And that is a problem.

He has worked so hard for so long to protect the country that he loves from the threat posed by the metahumans, and his own government is suddenly bankrolling a group of them because it is the right thing to do politically at the moment...regardless how foolhardy it is. To give a group of self appointed protectors a blank check to do whatever they want with nothing to regulate them, no real way to keep them in line, is a monumental mistake.

A mistake that is going to cost alot of lives. And that is something that he will not stand for.

With a press of a button, Anderson's computer screen shows a video feed of all the recent metahuman activities all over the world, as well as a superimposed map of the world showing any new reports of meta activity. And as he sees the growing number of incidents involving super powered beings, his stomach turns. He knows that with each and every new incident is another defeat for STRIKE. It is this thought which brings about another, and before he can fully explore this new thought, the buzzer on his desk goes off.

"Yes, what is it Ms Powers?"

"Sorry to disturb you Director Anderson, but Mr. Ryder is here to see you."

"Very well, send him in."

With that, there is a buzzing sound and the door to his office slides open and Marcus Ryder, Anderson's best friend walks into the lavish room. Anderson and Ryder have been partners and best friends for over twenty five years. They have fought side by side and survived many situations together that would have claimed the lives of lesser men. Above all else, Ryder is the only man on the face of the earth that Anderson trusts completely.

"Marcus, what have you brought me?"

Ryder reaches reaches under his vest and produces a folder, tossing it on Anderson's desk.

"See for yourself, Alex. Afraid it's not good news."

Anderson briefly scans the report inside the folder before putting aside.

"It doesn't matter."

"Sir?" He says, unable to keep the surprise from his voice.

"It doesn't matter, none of it. We've been at this for a long time, Marcus. And the whole time that we've been dealing with these freaks, we've been doing so with kid gloves. But I think that it's time to take those kid gloves off, to stop dealing with these things as if they're your average criminal. It's time to take these 'people' for what they really are...monsters. I've decided that it is time for STRIKE to take a more proactive role in dealing with the superhuman threat."

Anderson smiles as he meets Ryder's gaze.

"Marcus, it's time for STRIKE to show these metahumans just what we are capable of."
