Ummm with the Moon being shattered.
Does it affect the world's weather and tides? or are we simply using Comic-Pseudo Science to say everything remains the same?

G7
Mostly the latter because there's a "moon rebuilding project" or something or other. I would assume that some places got hit pretty hard immediately following the moon going boom, though. Coastal places and islands and such. But it's been half a year of rebuilding time since then.

Didn't Icon push the thirds back together. So it's mostly the moon again.

EDIT: Thank you, Bat-forums. You've made such a wonderful contribution to the world.

Well, there goes the advantage of 1,000 post threads. :p

In a previous post it was mentioned that I could make up a supporting cast (of other heroes or even my own team).

Okay. Here is what I would like to do or propose to do.

Besides Flamehawk (and Golden Pharaoh, who will continue to operate out of Egypt). I have six other characters I want to introduce (I.E. The cast of my Comic/Story Segment).
I know in general that the heroes in the game are in New Haven. BUT NY should be represented as well (As in most world's it is the Hero Hub) and I would like an opportunity to form a team there.
I would like for a couple of my heroes to have been around since before the Alien War of the last season. They were just busy protecting New York is all.
Why other characters haven't run into them is simply because it is still a big world and likely they were busy with their own stuff.
I know you guys like it when there is an intro for a character and Flamehawk will be the central character. But it would leave me open to play with other types of heroes I like or have made up.

First I simply toss the cast past you (This does not include their families, friends or co-workers).

Ultra - Heather Douglas - Owns a recently popular magazine called "New York Now!" - She has super strength, is incredibly tough and flies.

Searay - Andrea Bennett a cybernetics specialist and a trained Marine Biologist. She uses a super suit of her own design, that is good both in and out of the water.
The suit allows her to expel and absorb electricity, It enhances her strength to twice that of a normal woman, She can remain submerged indefinitely (as the suit has oxygen processors). She runs her own high tech company called Bennett Enterprises and has finally gotten the break she needs with her and her employees designs.

Unicorn - Aaron Forrests - In much the same way as Flamehawk. He too is a bonded Hybrid with a mystic creature. This being the Unicorn (There is a connection between Flamehawk and Unicorn... as well as two other hybrid creatures out there). He is a former pilot who now runs a detective agency called "Concrete Forrest Investigations"

Green Flora - Mia Nah Chog - She is a Chinese mutant who has kept her plant powers a secret since moving to America. As a young girl before her parents ran away with her to America. She was part of a fledgling Chinese Super Human team. She can manipulate, grow and shrink plants. She can also breath out a cloud of sporus venom (Which she does not use). She is pretty strong in that she can lift almost a ton. She is incredibly durable. She is not fond of extreme cold.

Terran - Dwayne Johnson - Chemical Engineer for the Amber Chemical Inc. This young African American man had just gained his Earth Shaping powers in an accident only a month before the invasion, He had made a costume and was operating in NYC as Terran, During the Invasion he was trying to stop falling Moon debris from hitting New York, He was successful at shifting it away, unfortunately this seemed to push his powers too far, which caused him to fall into the coma. Where he has been ever since. He was brought to a pretty much unknown and new place called the Alpha Institute of Super Human Studies (Which is studying super humans to try to figure them out… nothing insidious. It would mean also introducing the Alpha Institute’s parent research arena in a place called World Labs. Which would be kind of like DC’s Star Labs - I don’t know if they work for the Government or not, I would suspect so - One area I would like World Labs to be investigating is the reverse engineering of the Alien Tech left behind).

and finally...

Thunderstar - Alex Thunder - he was a college student in Astrophysics in New York when he was visited by three strange beings called the Triad.
They warned him of the threat to earth from invading Aliens and agreed to train him with the abilities they would give him. Alex agreed and was whisked away to another world where he was trained in the use of powers he was given. He came back and helped deal with the Aliens in New York and across the States (Possibly even other Countries
He has a sixth sense ability, He is able to create concentrated blast of an unknown sparkling energy. This energy he seems to be able to switch from a type which burns to an almost solid force, He has the ability to fly in nearly any environment (Even deep space - He can switch to light speed flight in the void of space) and he has an almost unseen force barrier around himself, which gives him the appearance of having invulnerability.

I have a team name picked out and you might be surprised but a base already set up for them to build.

I kind of want to say that Ultra, Searay and Unicorn have been operating in NY since before the Invasion (Even longer if that is permitted) and were the heroes that dealt with the issues there when it happened. Thunderstar was whisked away again to the Triad World for further training and is only now returning.

KEY THINGS that I add to the world (If I am allowed to):

The Egyptian Guardians (Who obviously have been around for a while) and the Golden Oasis of the Sun.

Museum of Ancient and Modern Wonders (Where Flamehawk works).

New York Now Magazine (Which Ultra owns).

Bennett Enterprises (Which Searay owns).

Concrete Forrests Investigations (Which Unicorn owns)

Amber Chemical Inc. (Which Terran worked for) as well as both the Alpha Institute of Super Human Studies and World Labs.

The Alien Triad whom gave Thunderstar his powers (Possibly their Alien world).

That is my proposal (and gives me a goal to build towards).
I know it sounds like a lot… but for me, really it isn’t.

Sorry… I never do things on a small scale!

You can make whoever you want as a supporting character. So if it's a superteam, go for it. What you can't do is make someone other than Flamehawk or Golden Pharaoh your main character - that is, to say, you write a post focusing just on Terran. Get what I'm saying?

Gotcha... Flamehawk or Golden Pharaoh must appear in each post or I must submit said character as a Main Character for proper approval.
I can't see myself submitting anymore characters other than maybe Thunderstar (Though I do have a handful of Japanese characters I wouldn't mind submitting as a team - but that can wait until later when I am more cemented and proven).

Thanks Eddie.

Oh by the way Eddie. I wish to write that there was a massive war deep in the past past between the Egyptian Gods and the Greek/Roman Gods. A lot of gods fell in the onslaught of it (There were 125 gods in the Egyptian Mythos... now they are down to nine... that they know of).
In this war of course Greek/Roman gods were lost as well before the Gods of Myth retreated from Earth. There were more Greek/Roman gods that survived the war than the Egyptian ones, but in the end after huge losses on both sides it ended in a draw.
Will that be some kind of issue for you? I plan on talking to Carnage27 as well about it.

Eh, I wouldn't say they have to be in every post. They just clearly need to be supporting characters. Similarly, you can post to move your villains along. I've been posting as one of my supporting characters a bit, just to help move my story along, and Nitemare's. But I'll be bringing it back to main guy in the next post.

Yes and no. Sometimes you may find yourself in need of an alternate narrative, IE, the events from another set of eyes so to speak. You can do a post from the perspective of one of your supporting characters as long as it supports the story you're trying to tell, and yes it should involve your main character(s) at least in some form.

For the most part we give the players alot of freedom to more or less what they want. Basically, you can tell your character's story in alot of different ways, so enjoy yourself.

And as far as New York is concerned, have a ball.

thank you Wieg....that's exactly what I was trying to say in a more round about way.

I am reading a lot in season two of your guys' Alien stuff... what a lot of fun that is (I have nearly finished all of the stuff here in the Third season). I am so sad that I missed it! I would have loved to have been a part of fighting Aliens! (Well... I will... but it will be in retelling mode... not quite the same).
Anyhow I am just trying to get up to speed is all (If I get a chance I will bounce further back and read Season One).
Fun stuff... I am sure I will be a storm of posting once I am done!

Other than that, I hope everyone is enjoying my segments so far. Don't be afraid to criticize if you think I am doing something universally wrong. I won't be offended... Though I may be inclined to push Wiegeabo's ego on top of you... and do you really want all that omnipotence on you? good luck... LOL!

Hey, I'm just waiting for the GM's in this game to slack off before I take over another one. :awesome:

Wieg hangs around the GMs right shoulder with a cinderblock just waiting for the fateful day they foolishly ask him to hold the keys while they nick out back for five minutes to take a leak...

*adds Hound to his list*

Good luck, bro.

I wear a catheter for just this kind of circumstance...

And I wear a g-string for such circumstances...though now I see how irrelevant that is. :o

It's annoying as a mother*****er.

Eh....I'd appreciate it if you left the Greek/Roman Pantheon alone. I've got too may ideas/plans involving the Gods. No offense or anything.

But there are plenty of other Pantheons to use.

Well for the record, I would like to eventually intro a character that is in some manner related to one of the Greek/Roman Gods (Likely Heracles), as they is the single most popular mythological Pantheon with the most adventurous of Gods (I am sure we can work something out).
Besides Greek Gods were piping out infants every week! LOL

This seems like an (in)opportune time to say that I'm dropping Achilles. As you've probably noticed, I haven't posted in a while, and I told myself that if I held on a little longer the urge might strike me. But it hasn't, unfortunately. :csad:

Sure, that's fine. But I'd rather not have your war idea come to fruition, if that's okay. I've kinda got a story for why the gods retreated from the Earth, and the events leading up to that.

And I'd be interested in hearing how you're going to have Herc come back, because he's dead right now.

Honestly, dude, I'm enjoying being a spectator much more than a participant. I look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve. And you're free to interact with Achilles at any time.
