Actually after reading a lot of your (Canage27's) posts.I will let that possible character slide, as I really don't see where this world would needs yet another representative at this point from a character with ties to Greek Gods. But there still are aspects from the Greek Mythology I would like to plan for some use. One in particularly figures early in my stories.
I'll hit you up with a PM on what I plan on using, Carnage.

Well I haven't posted in IC-Mode for a few days, mainly because I was trying to figure out what the lay of the land (NY) for the characters I am going to introduce who will team up with Flamehawk.

Now that I know that I can write character bits of the others so long as my main chara appears... I can start doing stuff a bit more to my liking now.

I have decent post I need to load onto IC... but there is a portion I want the GM to look over before I post it (That deals with the Alien Attack and New York).
So who should I send it to?

The reason I haven't posted a story again thusfar is that I have been reading the second season of the CAHverse (Just looking for more insight on the Aliens and seeing if New York was mentioned).

Some more great stuff in those particular posts.
There were a few very moving death scenes in this. Particularly for me was the Jake scene from ArchAngel.
A few unexpected surprises as well, Such as the death of Icon's girlfriend and the Tales of New Haven where the twin super humans die.

I must say the villain Ultima was EASY to hate. (His killing of Mercury and then going after his kids... man that is brutal). The fights with him were all for the most part very well done and nicely descriptive.

ANYHOW... I did a search on each of the topics of CAH IC II & III finding all the relevant posts that mention New York.
More happened there than I had thought (Though suspected).

Question: Are Sabetoonth (last IC post date: 10-4-10) and TrueMastermind (last IC post date: 8-17-10) a part of this game anymore?

They were the two in the game that seemed to be using New York as a base.
IF they are no longer a part of this, what do I do with the lingering characters left hanging in the City?

Particularly this:
A team did exist in New York (Via TrueMastermind) called Justice Crusade (Whom he stated as being a very popular team) and someone who I got the vague impression was a solo hero, Paladin.
There were only a handful of them and I really can't seem to get a bead on them by reading the stuff mentioned.
Do I justignore the fact that they were operating in New York?

The Statue of Liberty in ruins,
Yankee Stadium reduced to a mountain of rubble,
Time Square was caught in a firery blaze.

From the looks of the image shown (During Ultima's visit to New York) at least the lower Manhattan area was nailed pretty severally... likely by the looks of it the Stock Market area was hit or burned badly as well. So too for Battery Park (At the tip of Manhattan) and finally the waters around it als may have quite a few sunken ships.

I foudn out by doig a search for New York in the IC threads exclusively that the Chrysler Building fell (See: Sabetoonth).

Feel free to use NY pretty much as you see fit. Those players haven't been around in awhile and I'm not sure if they will be returning. If you choose to mention the JC, feel free, but don't feel obligated to.

Guys and Gals i have some great news. I just saved a bunch of money by switching my car insurance to Geico.

I joke I joke I kid I kid. Any way I'm try and get a Spartan post up soon. I would have been had one up but thanks to Nightmare Shape telling me how awesome DC online was i went and got the game so now most maybe all my time has been playing that game. Hell i even brought it to work with me. Gots to level UP!

Majestic... I won't even go anywhere near DCOnline... or any other game online. I played City of Heroes for a while and I simply was addicted to it!
Obviously I didn't have any problems stopping... but for me I will get NOTHING done if I have the ability to simply play a character that can fly and fight crime - I just know I would love it though... and I fight the urge... fight... Fight the... oh no... oh wait... Nah... just don't need it)

Well I finally got to a point where I could post the heroes I wanted to have appear in the world (Specifically New York) with NitemareShape's thumbs up.
Still getting to the Origin of Flamehawk... I just needed to include what I felt is an important scene from the past for these New York heroes.
Then it is on to 'NOW TIME' (Though I am sure there will still be ramifications dealing with that World Attack by Aliens).
In my case I am probably going to mention (hopefully) about a lot of construction that is going on (Not just in America either).
I feel a little bit that I may have rushed the end portion of my Golden Pharaoh segment... but it just felt like I had reached the point with Jabari that I needed to show with him.
The Aliens Attacking was the perfect excuse for Jabari's Golden Pharaoh predecessor to fall defending Egypt... so that is what I did with him.
I guess, I could give further details of the fight between him and the Arlaaekian Forces (Of which I am sure he took down a lot... after all he does have a near-Marvel-Thor type power level), It just seemed like a lot of fighting to describe and since his character was only a building block to the new secessor... it seemed pointless to feature him when I had already featured younger Jabari battling the Evil God Set.

Overall it was fun to write.
Though this world has a certain brutal edge to it, It certainly not as four color as I tend to like... but more four color than I have seen other similar endeavors.
We will just have to see how Four-Color I can make it. LOL

I am building a team and they are going to get a (Way cool!) base. They are going to be sanctioned in some way (and not that headache garbage that appears in Marvel since the mid 80s... I am talkin Old School sanctions... do as you please unless asked/directed otherwise) and I was wondering if STRIKE will try to pull anything... they seem less than admirable in personality. Certainly not as friendly as old school S.H.I.E.L.D. or even Project: PEGASUS.

The Guardians were officially sanctioned by the US Government, and it was established that they were the only OFFICIALLY sanctioned super group. If that helps you with how you wanted to build your group...cool. t:

Since you want to take of HQ in NY, and from what I understand you have a diverse group of characters from around the world maybe you should just have your team be a UN-supported team?

I think NiteMare replied the way he did though because all this S.T.R.I.K.E. stuff going on isn't making metahumans popular with the general public.

Does anyone have a favorite character that they write? Absolutely, 100%. Mantis is my bread and butter. Probably my favorite character to write across the boards, not just in CAH.

Has anyone ever found that their primary character wasn't as interesting as one of the additional characters? Not on the boards, but a while back I came up with these two villains who I liked more than the hero I created. So I rewrote the "mythos," as it were, to center on them.

Anyone have characters they have a hard time writing? (Even though maybe at first they seemed easy) Pretty much every character I've dropped in here. Haha.

Who do you think is your worst (most evil) enemy that you have created? Villains aren't my strong suit, to be honest. Hell, I'm just now getting around to giving Mantis a proper "archnemesis." So keep your eyes peeled.

I may be known as the biggest Aquaman fan on the RP boards, but to be honest I have had the most fun molding my character Archangel in the CAH RPG. It's led me to the point where I've been working on a comic version of the character in comic script form, with some edits and adjustments to better translate into that medium. It's been a blast and the CAH RPG is kind of like my testing waters for getting ideas down in words.

No, but the issue of knowing what I want to happen and making it happen being difficult does come up. I have an idea I think is potent or clever and I just know that one part or the end of it that I have trouble getting the starting parts to get to that part.

Well, he has only had his first appearance so far, but it would be Archangel's archnemesis Leech. I have 5 more villains to his total Rogues Gallery to still introduce and some are also real sadistic but I crafted Leech specifically to be nothing short than vile. I cannot wait to use him again but I want to focus on introducing the rest of the Rogues.

Hey People!

I hope this next post doesn't come off jumbled. I am kind of shooting from hip with thoughts.
SOUTHPARK: "There are no stupid questions... Only Stupid people!" LOL

Actually they are all American (with the exception of Green Flora - who appears to be an American Citizen). I am not sure a team comprised of one (Hidden) foreign character could be supported by the U.N.
I guess I could add Golden Pharaoh to the team (Which I hadn't really intended... but now that I think about it. He might make a VERY powerful addition). That would give me two (sort of)... or I could simply expand the teams roster (Which would make for a lot of characters to juggle on a single team) to include other foreign characters. Which would be the only way I could see them even remotely being Sanctioned by the U.N. - Great Idea though... I am not shooting it down mind you!... it is actually probably the best scenario... because they have a certain amount of diplomatic immunity to the American Government (Because the U.S. still has to recognize U.N. Rule).

Now if this S.T.R.I.K.E. is making Super Humans unpopular... at least by what I planned on establishing with my team is that they are actively helping repair New York. Compounded with the way they helped during the Alien Invasion - granted my stuff is sorta hindsight... but I think you can all tell if I had been here, I would have done a great deal more.
So at least in the clean state City of New York... my heroes are popular (or at least I am of that opinion) even if S.T.R.I.K.E. is running a smear campaign... the War only ended six months ago.

Now if your saying that S.T.R.I.K.E. somehow can/will block any petition for the Sanction for a Super Group... Then I will likely play that out a little bit (Unless I can have the state or simply the City of NY rebel and Sanction them to at least have a base that is out in the open).

I am not trying to upset the status Quo (Story-Play) or anything and I realize that the Guardians were created to be "THE" Team, but it is a big world and Allies (on both the State and Political boards) can be had in all kinds of directions in the U.S.
Especially in light of what this particular group of characters has done (even separately) that has them form a team in the first place.
Most common denominator for them is they are heroes (which they visibly showed during the during the Alien Invasion - via Historic Timewarp) and location.

I can find a way around it, until S.T.R.I.K.E. comes knocking I suppose.

IF any of this breaks some kind of rule that I am unaware of... please let me know. I think it is easy to see how much my heart is into doing this.
I have tried my damnedest to do the research (trying to make sure I didn't do anything wrong or step on toes). You guys have no idea the volume of information you have written and that I have read it all. It is JUST HUGE.
You guys could ACTUALLY create a WHO'S WHO/CAHverse UNIVERSE guide thread on the info you have out there alone.
Anyhow consider what I have said above and maybe we can some to some easy conclusion.
Even if S.T.R.I.K.E. is causing waves... they can suffer setbacks too (Which I am sure they won't like)!

Does anyone have a favorite character that they write? I don't normally pick up a character unless I like them. I don't think it would be fair to because it'd make me more likely to drop out and that's a pain in the arse to everybody. But as for favourites it'd probably be Vigilante and Ultimate Moon Knight. How much of Ultimate MK comes down to nostalgia and the game prematurely coming to a close before I could complete my big arc, I don't know.

(Even though maybe at first they seemed easy) Have had a hard time getting myself to write for one character because I think it was more "Oh that would be cool! I think I could write well for this." I came up with about two posts for a serial killer/drifter character called Guillotine in season 2 after I went through a period watching Red Dragon and the first two Lector movies. I think the posts were alright and I had a direction for the character, but I just couldn't keep my interest in writing for him. It's why I'm pretty conservative in picking up characters and having a solid concept and first main arc I WANT TO TELL before I apply, particularly in the other RPGs.

Who do you think is your worst (most evil) enemy that you have created? I don't think I'd have a half dozen yet. Probably, pathetic as it sounds (because I created him as a "What if modern day Batman had to go against one of Spideys colourful B-Grade rogues like a Paste Pot Pete or a Stiltman... and what if he looked so ridiculous that the hero severely underestimated him and almost bit the dust?"), the Jellyfish. Because when he discovered his ability he made a conscious decision to be a villain - to be evil. I've come up with others who are capable of more evil things, but for the most part they BELIEVE in what they're doing.

I am surprised some of you haven't had portions of stories that became difficult to write dealing with your primarily characters... but then again... maybe those are questions for people who dropped out. Heh!

I think it is very admirable (For those of you who stuck with this) to still be focused on your characters.
I have seen other sites before I stumbled upon this one and your very cool format of play/Round Robin/Story Segments, That were kind of a jumbled mess.
You guys definitely have a handle on this.

So I kinda... cheated on my last post by using a QUITE old microhero of my hero's archnemesis in place of artwork for Blacklight's evil counterpart, The Descender. But I don't really have a scanner that can scan my art as images, only .PDFs, so instead, I made this with the Fabrica de Herios creator.

Sorry about the sheer massiviness of that story segment. I just wanted to get that out from underneath me and establish my characters more firmly (I think I was slightly successful in my endeavor).
It was a pain to break my "whole" story into 20000 word portions.
I am not sure that Microsoft Works word processor has a "word count/letter count" to it. I didn't see anything pertaining to it when I looked.
Now you all at least have a good look at my characters (or I hope you do).
It was fun to write and my only regret was that I did not get around to describing Andrea/Searay's repair of the Statue of Liberty, as I did that portion in an epilogue instead.
So too for the end portion involving Heather/Ultra's New York Now! Magazine portion.

BUT... at least I am up to speed now and can start moving some potential interaction with other characters (Though there may be a few flashback scenes here and there).

Blacklight... I think that Fabrica de Herios creator is awesome. It is a pretty clear hero creator and has nice colors to it. I have a nice double handful of villains made from that. If anyone hasn't... I'd say check it out.
