So what's the score going to be? Infinity War was 85%. I can see this being slightly better if the focus is back onto the original 6 Avengers and it's more character driven than set piece driven like IW.

I voted 80-90 but I can see critics digging into this a bit. but it will probably end up in the mid 80's

The usual suspects will get on their "bah! CBM's are ruining movies!" soap box give it a bad review without watching it then it will make 2 billion dollars anyway and life will go on. lol

After CM, I’m going to go for the 80 - 90 range.

All I know is not to trust any Twitter initial reactions, even if they are from "critics". Most of those critics are still CBM fans first so they usually tend to get overly excited. Case in point: the initial reaction to Captain Marvel vs where it actually landed for RT.

I voted the 80 to 90 range... it's the safest bet.
I highly doubt that this is going to crack the 90's but i've been wrong before so...

It will have stuff going for and against it like any movie. The pros will probably be the many surprises saved for the theatre, the emotional "goodbye" to several characters should enlist a strong reaction, also this really being the culmination and resolution of everything that went down in IW...

The cons could be the length of the movie, the fact that a lot of it will be undone and serve basically like a reboot of the universe and with that comes the argument to the potential lack of stakes, the extensive use of CGI... A lot of these are basic complains and some could even be argued either way.

Yeah I agree with you guys that the 80%-90% range seems like a pretty safe bet. I am hoping it scores higher than IW, but honestly it doesn't even matter that to me that much as long as I end up really loving it which I hope I do.

I never expected Shazam to get a score up in the 90s, but here we are. I think between 80 and 90 is a safe bet though.

i saw shazam last night. they did a decent job with it. very family friendly and very kid friendly. it really was a kid's film in many aspects. i can see it doing very well in the box office.

Might be crazy, but I think it will stay above 90. A pretty definitive end to this era of the MCU, the action should be great, focusing back on the original Avengers, and presumably a more uplifting ending (even with the almost certain deaths) should work for the film. But who knows.

In the end it doesn't matter. It's a question of how many people see the movie as overall positive or overall negative. 95% doesn't mean everyone thought it was a 9/10 movie. It's just one more thing to think about.

I'm still baffled by the fact that "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and "Thor: Ragnarok" got higher scores than "Infinity War" in Rotten Tomatoes.
Many of the critics don't know **** about comics, so they probably prefer small, self-contained, innocuous films than complex crossovers where they have a hard time understanding who is who and why some things happen.

Any idea when in April might we get first reactions?
