good news indeed... hopefully, this will continue for it's next six eps till the season finale and we get a renewal for a second season...

oh yeah, and last night's ep with Russell as the Scarlet Pimp... I wanna see where THAT'S headed, LOL...

I've been watching the show in the UK, and I've got to say that I hate the characters.

The concept is great, but the characters are so unlikable.

Steven comes off as selfish and annoying while John just confuses me.

Also, Jedakiah is a strange name.

I've never seen them, but Tomorrow People was originally a Brit show... did you ever see any of those episodes?... and does it have ANY similarities with the current US version?

As for this show, last nights rating were pretty bad(as in Beauty and the Beast levels bad), I thought it was a long shot last week to be renewed I think the show just went on life support

I haven't seen the original, no.

I do know that Steven Jameson was the main character in both this and the UK one though.

I saw some reruns of the original show and the 90's remake.

They reused the names of the characters from the original show in the current remake.

The basic premise is the same with the Tomorrow People operating out of a disused subway station helping breakouts with a super computer called TIM.

They also do martial arts and have the prime barrier to stop them from killing.

The main difference is the original Tomorrow People also dealt with aliens, robots, clones, ect besides the usual earthbound threats. The space alien stuff was to compete with popular rival BBC show Doctor Who.

Finally was able to catch up on the past three episodes. I like the direction they are going. It's very sci-fi and that' okay with me. I just wish they would include Astrid more and get rid of John being in HS. That's very distracting because he acts like an adult and he's never in school. At this point I'm expecting him not to graduate.

Question. Tomorrow people can't directly murder other than John without the head buzzing. What about accidentally? I mean what happens if they TK push someone and they get hit by a car or fall off a roof? This no kill thing is really the only negative thing about the show to me. Should have been thought out better.

I think that's okay. It's when they do it with the intent of killing that it hits them and they have to stop before they can finish it. But if they genuinely meant to do something else and a death results, they'd be okay, since they weren't thinking of killing.

Well, I hope it does get renewed. The cast has really grown on me and I think the show has laid some good groundwork for continuing seasons.
