EXCLUSIVE: Peyton List
(Mad Men) has landed a lead in the CW drama pilot The Tomorrow People, an adaptation of the cult British series. Written/exec produced by Phil Klemmer, exec produced by Julie Plec and Greg Berlanti and directed/exec produced by Danny Cannon, Tomorrow People is in the vein of X-Men and Heroes and revolves around several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together they work to defeat the forces of evil. List will play Cara, the female member of the “Tomorrow People” group who has a sense of humor beneath her serious demeanor and seems to be a trustworthy ally. lol I love how our number one (terrible) soap series here in Australia is producing all these actors for hollywood.

It is like that with a lot of soaps. Half of our stars originated in soap operas. The actors aren't bad just the writers.

Eh. I don't like the end result, but I have to cut the writers some slack too. They're churning out, what, five episodes a week? That's a helluva work load.

Its pretty amazing how many Aussie actors from Home And Away and Neighbours have been successful in Hollywood.

British soap actors are nowhere near as successful. Non-soap British actors are more successful.

yeah it's kind of funny seeing chris hemsworth as thor when only a few years ago he was on some ****** aussie soap.

Will Julie Plec have three series on the air next season? Over the past week, The Tomorrow People, an adaptation of the cult British sci-fi series, has emerged as a major contender at the CW whose brass are also about to see a cut for The Vampire Diaries planted spinoff The Originals, which has enjoyed great buzz and is considered a shoo-in. Tomorrow People comes from Plec, executive producer of the already renewed Vampire Diaries and The Originals, and Greg Berlanti, who too is assured at least one series on the CW next season, the recently renewed Arrow.

This sounds a bit interesting. Funny that Stephen Amells' cousin will be playing a dude named Stephen in this :oldrazz:
