The CW developing "The Tomorrow People" remake

While the show has grown on me throughout the season, I really can not get into the forced relationships between John/Astrid, Cara/Stephen.

Glad that they gave it a series finale feel just in case they don't get picked up.

Had they given John/Astrid more build up, I could get on board with that particular pairing, but Stephen/Cara... Can't do it. What they should have done is put both couples on a slow burn throughout the season. Instead, they had Cara/Stephen bone within the first 6 episodes.

After that, there wasn't really much to do with them... Enter Hilary, who Stephen arguably had better chemistry with, and an over all better progression of a relationship. They were rivals, then partners, then lovers. All the while Hilary was lying to Stephen, because she thought she was doing what was best for him...

Cara on the other hand just seems to be there. Fighting with John. Barking orders at everyone. ****blocking Stephen. Falling for John all over again. If Stephen/Cara are supposed to be the OTP, the producers/writers haven't done a great job of making that clear.

This show being cancelled wasn't all that unexpected, but BATB being renewed has me legitimately stunned. The network isn't even airing their final few episodes of the season until the summer. When in the history of television has that NOT been a cancellation?

It got better ratings than Starcrossed and HoD when it was on Mondays. But I guess they had to make way for their new shows, they dont want to air any of those mid season.

No, it isn't unexpected, but I thought they might hold on to it since it's done by the same folks who do Arrow.

Oh well, I enjoyed TTP while it lasted and Star Crossed.

HOD was sort of expected due to wanting the show for syndication but I have no clue how TTP didn't get renewed over BATB since it performed better then BATB in the exact same timeslot(and that's ignoring the fact how CW ratings went down the toilet in general in March and April).

You know, I like Kristen Kreuk so BATB I'm Ok with. but I have a feeling that it will be a Friday show. TTP wasn't really a surprise, but I was hoping for at least 13 more

You know in retrospect, I remember you guys saying on the show Amell was the weak link of the cast. I don't know if I agree with that, but I can see why some said that. He doesn't quite have the same presence as his cousin...though they look an awful lot alike.

I remember saying that, and I definitely still think Robbie was the weak link... In part because of the poor characterization/execution of the character and partly because of Robbie's acting ability.

If they ever need a Superboy/Kon-El he would be a perfect choice. He could even maybe be Nightwing.
