The CW eyes The Vampire Diaries spinoff "The Originals"

So Marcel is now a super-original.

There have been four super-originals in the franchise: Silas, Alaric, Lucian, and now Marcel. It's becoming a bit cliche. I wonder how this is going to end.

I think Marcel will succeed in wiping out the Mikaelsons, Klaus will go on the run for three years or maybe be dead.

It's a good thing that they're no longer going to rely on witches as being the enemies, that's gotten old.

Aside from Lucien and now Marcel, none of them were really identical. Alaric more or less became just a standard Original, only with an added desire to hunt them as Mikael once did, and Silas was more of a witch than anything. Marcel (and previously Lucien) were the only ones to become apex predators where the Originals are concerned, with their added strength, bite that is both deadly and incurable to even an Original and no known way to kill them.

He is overall, but it's idiotic of him to hold this particular event against them. They were backed into a corner and running out of time. They held off any longer and Klaus, Hayley AND Rebekah (Marcel's on/off love interest) would've been dead. Of course the Mikaelsons did what they had to do to ensure that didn't happen.

The ancestors deserve most of the blame. The Mikaelsons being the usual *****ebags that they are did contribute though.

I can understand why he is angry. Marcel went to them for help and they betrayed him. Marcel helps the Mikaelsons a lot and they don't return the favor.

10 episode season next year. Held until midseason. I'm honestly surprised they didn't just cancel it if this was their plan.

Finale tonight.

I've seen nothing confirming episode length. But even if that's true, 10 episodes isn't nothing.

The finale was so good. :waa: :hrt:

[blackout] I thought Kol and Freya will bite it by the end.

Poor Hayley. That's a lot of cures she has to find. :funny: I guess they'll do the 3 year time jump too next season. Plus we now know why Klaus was MIA when Caroline was looking for him. [/blackout]

Well that was certainly an Empire Strikes Back way to end the season.

With the show being out of commission in the fall, I think it'd be cool to have Hayley pop up on TVD, looking for leads on [blackout]the cures[/blackout], paving the way for S4.

Oh, Tumblr... sometimes you actually make me happy.

Considering Kol is still alive by finale's end, I wonder if he'll be a series regular next season.

now is the best time for them to do a crossover with TVD considering there's two little siphoners on there that have the ability to cure them.

but they probably won't go down that route.

Good finale. I liked Klaus grandstanding. Nice to see Rebekah again.

Figured this was coming when Containment was cancelled...

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Casts Kristen Gutoskie; Christina Moses Joins ‘The Originals’

Moses has joined Season 4 of drama The Originals as Keelin, a smart, strong resourceful ER doctor – and the last living werewolf of her line. Keelin is openly bisexual, warm and unguarded by nature; but after the rest of her family was hunted to extinction, she went into hiding and since then she’s deliberately avoided getting too close to anyone. She lives in fear of being discovered by the wrong people and has no idea that she’s currently on a collision course with the Mikaelsons.

I read from the SDCC coverage that [blackout]the time-jump will be five years, and apparently Hope asks Hayley if they're going home to get her dad[/blackout].

This cast is bae.

With news of TVD being cancelled after season 8, I would assume TO is on its last leg as well. I've been wrong before, though.

I love conclusion-jumping.

It's not conclusion jumping, it's speculation. How was that unclear?

I could see parts of the TVD cast merging into season 5 of TO but I'm not sure if that show is profitable on its own. Both shows are relegated to Fridays and the ratings are very low now.

I sort of wonder if they care about hitting the syndication number, though. If they only get 10 this year they will only reach that through a fifth season.

The actor who plays Vincent was in the latest Babershop movie and had no lines.

Just caught up on the show and knowing that TVD is ending another favorite of mine. It's sad to see that this show looks like it will end too since it's being pushed to mid season :csad:.
