Agreed, on all counts. As for Owen, I've never been particularly enamored with him as a character, so I'm finding everything about that subplot to be a little boring. It was good to see Nikita and Alex back in the field together and the little tease of Amanda's back story, although with her it's impossible to know if she was just yanking Nikki's chain.
I thought Ari's son going off to live with Krieg was a good ending to that arc and about as much of a happy ending as Ari deserved, no more, no less.
I hope Owen gets his answers soon, it feels like they're treading water with that aspect of his character, he's not Wolverine.

Otherwise, great episode this week. It was nice to get just another tiny piece of the puzzle that is Amanda. And I'll admit, they totally tricked me with the switcharoo at the end with Amanda and Alex. Looking forward to next week. I love it when Nikita's put in a position that brings out her Mother Bear instincts over Alex, haha. Their relationship is my fave. Which is why I particularly loved it this week when Alex was all waxing nostalgic over the days when it was just her and Nikita against the world.
Yeah, some VERY interesting developments this week. Gotta say, Lyndsy Fonseca did a great job with Alex these last couple episodes, because I kept getting the sense that there was something "off" with her and her friction with Nikita, but it was subtle enough that I thought it might have just been weak/forced writing or something. Should've known better with this show. Fonseca played it just natural enough for me to believe that Alex could have really started to feel that way, but just different enough to make me wonder if something was up. Well played.
Tonight's episode:
So how do people feel about [blackout]Sam[/blackout]? I really loved his conversation with [blackout]Nikita about his past.[/blackout] It seemed to be addressing the audience as much as the character he was talking to.
I thought this episode was pretty great and next week's looks like a doozy as well with the focus back on Nikita and exploring [blackout]Amanda's life[/blackout]. A more-than-solid string of episodes happening here on top of last week's.
[BLACKOUT]It sucks, 'cause I've been so happy to see Devon Sawa have some bit of a career resurgence(don't ask me why!), but it's a spin on the hole amnesiac soldier cliche. Even if they were evil in their past, they usually feel remorse given whatever they post-amnesia life has become. Sam just casually reverting back to be a murderous criminal a$$hole is kind of refreshing![/BLACKOUT]
I prefer [blackout]Sam over Owen[/blackout]. There I said it, lol.
