The CW's Nikita

This show deserves better ratings.

Liking the Amanda being the new Nikita angle.

This was probably one of the my favorite episodes of the season. Amanda/Nikita angle was great of course and really loved seeing Sean becoming a Division member.

Another quality episode, Amanda's plan for Sean was pretty neat and I enjoyed the execution of the sequence faking his death. I didn't see the twist coming with the FBI agent but the fight with her and Nikita was fun. :woot:

Now Nikita and Alex both have men that are miserable about the twists of fate they have been dealt.

WOW. The show just keeps knocking them out of the park. Loved the fight scene with the FBI agent. And that scene where Sean had to make the decision was pretty intense.

Pretty intense episode this week, Nikita went all Jack Bauer on Ari. :wow: I was actually surprised how far the CW went with that scene and now we know where the shot of Nikita taking her ring off a bloody hand came from.

One thing that confused me was when Birkhoff hacked the terrorists stream and revealed his face, why didn't he do that in the first place? and they could have found out who it was via facial recognition and Nikita wouldn't have needed to spend all that time negotiating with Ari.

I hope Sean isn't going to go all emo over Alex telling Owen her tattoo story and I hope they aren't planting any love triangle seeds.

I can't believe they actually made me feel slightly sorry for Ari. :/

Stop playing with my emotions!!!

It was good to see Nikita and Alex back in the field together and the little tease of Amanda's back story, although with her it's impossible to know if she was just yanking Nikki's chain.

I thought Ari's son going off to live with Krieg was a good ending to that arc and about as much of a happy ending as Ari deserved, no more, no less.

I hope Owen gets his answers soon, it feels like they're treading water with that aspect of his character, he's not Wolverine.

Agreed, on all counts. As for Owen, I've never been particularly enamored with him as a character, so I'm finding everything about that subplot to be a little boring.

Otherwise, great episode this week. It was nice to get just another tiny piece of the puzzle that is Amanda. And I'll admit, they totally tricked me with the switcharoo at the end with Amanda and Alex. Looking forward to next week. I love it when Nikita's put in a position that brings out her Mother Bear instincts over Alex, haha. Their relationship is my fave. Which is why I particularly loved it this week when Alex was all waxing nostalgic over the days when it was just her and Nikita against the world.

They just need to hurry and announce nikitas pickup for a 4th season so I can rest easy.

Yeah I've never been a huge fan of him either and as a season regular he's mainly a third wheel in most episodes.

Heh, as soon as they cut back to Alex sitting in the cop car I had "I've got a bad feeling about this" moment. :D I enjoyed that too, it took me back to the early eps communicating through the backdoor in the computer system and then the meeting in Nikita's old loft, planning missions. It's going to be interesting to see how the trade works in this weeks episode.

Well break my heart, show. Just break it to pieces. :(

I will say it kind of bothered me (from a writing standpoint, not a character one) how Nikita came across much more concerned for Ari than Alex throughout this entire episode. It was weird, and felt a bit out-of-character for me. But those last scenes with them were, as I said, effectively heartbreaking to me.

Nikita got pre-empted this week with Justin Timberlake's release party. One of these days, I hope she throws a Russian Sickle on Amanda.

Caught up on the last 2 eps, I am digging this Nikita and Alex friction, I think it had to happen at some point as Alex is a strong person in her own right.

The first week I thought Alex was completely in the right, Nikita's constant need to atone for her past had her actively trying to save a guy who was a ruthless killer in favour of a young woman who was innocent, Nikita should have realized Ari was not worth it and I loved it when Alex questioned the play with "Why? because you say so?"

This week I thought Nikita was right as the guy they were being asked to kill was a mass murderer, now granted the reasoning was not as cut and dry but initially it came off as Alex being a brat, just going against Nikita because she was still mad.

This show once again delivered with it's resolution, Michael called Nikita on her shift towards being controlling like Amanda, how it's always got to be her way as opposed to a team call, then the fun of Alex and Birkhoff out in the field uncovering the plan to wipe them out to open Nikita's eyes about the need for truth in Division, and the way Nikita and Alex got the list back and got Danforth under their thumb and Division some wiggle room was smart.

On a side note Maggie Q looked amazing in that dress in Paris. :hrt:

So 'The Shop' are that International shadowy group Percy wanted to join up with, very interesting development.

The Alex swerve totally caught me off guard! :wow: I'm glad at least that we know it's Amanda's doing, she's been drilling in poor Alex's noggin, but if Fletch dies.....:(

Nikita 3x17 Promo "Masks"

Things aren't looking to be getting any better for Nikki next week, the promo gives away a surprising amount but with this show it could be a red herring.

Yeah, some VERY interesting developments this week. Gotta say, Lyndsy Fonseca did a great job with Alex these last couple episodes, because I kept getting the sense that there was something "off" with her and her friction with Nikita, but it was subtle enough that I thought it might have just been weak/forced writing or something. Should've known better with this show. Fonseca played it just natural enough for me to believe that Alex could have really started to feel that way, but just different enough to make me wonder if something was up. Well played.

Definitely, she is really good, I mean look at my post before last, clearly I was snowed and that was what really made the moment where Fletch realized she was the leader of the mutiny a shocker, it worked perfectly.

The Alex turn didn't surprise me, but what she did to Ryan was shocking. I can see this season ending with Nikita Vs. Alex.

Tonight's episode:

So how do people feel about [blackout]Sam[/blackout]? I really loved his conversation with [blackout]Nikita about his past.[/blackout] It seemed to be addressing the audience as much as the character he was talking to.

I thought this episode was pretty great and next week's looks like a doozy as well with the focus back on Nikita and exploring [blackout]Amanda's life[/blackout]. A more-than-solid string of episodes happening here on top of last week's.

[BLACKOUT]It sucks, 'cause I've been so happy to see Devon Sawa have some bit of a career resurgence(don't ask me why!), but it's a spin on the hole amnesiac soldier cliche. Even if they were evil in their past, they usually feel remorse given whatever they post-amnesia life has become. Sam just casually reverting back to be a murderous criminal a$$hole is kind of refreshing![/BLACKOUT]

[blackout]Sam was a caged animal! I hope he stays uncaged because this show needs more bad guys and it would be be pretty lame if both Alex and Sam revert back to normal.[/blackout]

A lot has happened in the episode. I wish more people would watch Nikita--particularly on this site--'cause it would seem right up the comic book fan's alley for a type of show.

Woah, that's a lot of black text. I need to get caught up on this show. Just a few episodes behind.

I prefer [blackout]Sam over Owen[/blackout]. There I said it, lol.

This ep felt like a bridge into the season finale run in, I loved the exchanges between Nikita and Amanda and next week it looks like it will be all about the 2 of them with Nikki getting into Amanda's head (literally) for the full back-story of why she is so screwed up.

I'm not sure how I feel about Amanda going all Inception on Alex but I suppose Michael did get a new hand ala Luke Skywalker, just as long as it stays at fringe science and doesn't start to tread into Alias territory.

Alex I think has realized her own errors even though she is still suffering from getting her noodle fiddled with, her, Sean, Birkhoff and Sonya will take division back McClane style! :D

I prefer [blackout]Sam over Owen[/blackout]. There I said it, lol.

Me too, he's been a drippy loose end for ages, I think the way they did his reveal gave him a fresh purpose in the show and hopefully they keep him heel, Sawa seemed to get a kick out of letting loose. Nikita can't always be right and now she can finally kill her old BF's murderer.

Season 3, Episode 18, "Broken Home"

This episode was packed.

Amanda really is [blackout]not really Amanda, her birth name was Helen. She killed her father and then twin sister (the real Amanda) and assumed her identity. That was pretty nuts.[/blackout]

[blackout]Sam got out of Michael's "clutches" real fast. Glad the actor has a little more substantial stuff to do now.[/blackout]

Goodbye [blackout]______Sean_____.[/blackout]

Goodbye [blackout]mutiny leaders. You were awful.[/blackout]

Goodbye [blackout]Division? Last one out remember to turn off the lights.[/blackout]

Alex [blackout]disappeared?[/blackout]

Nikita [blackout]really needs to be back in the driver's seat! Come on, she's the titular character![/blackout]
