The Daily Planet Vol. 2: Superman News and Speculation Thread (🚨TAG SPOILERS🚨)

lol upscaling made those background extras look like minecraft characters.

suit looks great in that pic though.
david looking more and more like superman straight from the comics with each new picture i see.

Another pic that looks weirdly photoshopped and AI processed.

Jesus christ dude, it's just a pic done for fun. Why is everything so overanalyzed these days?. Back in the days of bluetights, people would post things for fun and people would just enjoy them, not question them. Yes the high school pic is fake. Not A.I. a real pic of corenswet, I just changed the hair to match him as clark in the film. Lighten up

You need to take a long break from coffee and add a chill pill. Just say it's fan made. WTF is this overreaction supposed to be!!?

While I still wish we had gotten away from the Donner crystal palace aesthetic for the Fortress, I'm loving the glimpses of more tech we're getting in the background.

See I'm the opposite. I love that crystal s***. Some things should just become part of cannon if they work. Same as how so many of the things we know now as staples such as perry white, the daily planet, kryptonite etc all came from additions to the radio show, to me the look of the fortress and the '78' theme feel so quintessentially Superman to me that they should be kept. If something is added in superman lore along the way that simply just fits and works, keep it. It's why I'm liking this Superman adaption already, they've incorporated so many things from films to comics that people want to see and it's great

I've never felt that design works, personally. Always hated it. One of many things I never cared for in the Donner films. I prefer a Fortress/Krypton that looks less...cold, and more lived-in. Different strokes.

Peacemaker S2 trailer might have revealed something about this film: Gunn has said that S2 takes place after Superman, I'm pretty sure? So if any heroes from LordTech team defect at the end of Superman, it doesn't look like Hawkgirl or Guy Gardner will be among them. Which makes Isabela's previous implication about the LordTech costume not being her only one a bit more curious. 🤔

I would assume some of the season is a) flashbacks or b) some takes place before. With the bulk taking place after Superman.

The crystals are very iconic. But once you get inside the Fortress, where the hell are you suppose to sit? :o

So I like the idea of the crystal design, but with a more Superman coded Batcave overall. Pretty much how the movie has done it.

Blindly guessing about a show I've never seen and only seen half a trailer of because I'm an embarrassing ****, that scene gives cold open vibes to me. He gets rejected, goes on his arc for the show.
And then they come back around later in the season to follow up on it.

Worth mentioning that my favorite origin for the Fortress is actually Grant's Action Comics origin where it's Superman repurposing a Brainiac ship, so my ideal aesthetic for it would be a spaceship with proper rooms, etc. modified by Clark to be more homey.

Good point, that's probably it.

I hope so as well.

It would feel a tad disappointing if Guy Gardener and Hawkgirl remain relatively the same (e.g., costume, hero philosophy) after the events of "Superman".

Shocking no one, my favorite Fortress.
