I wish they'd use it even more. The way they've updated it is brilliant and always gives me goosebumps with new footage I see. I'm tired of people thinking anything new is going to be better than that theme. It just isn't. It's time to accept that the Williams theme is lightning in a bottle for anything Superman related. It just screams Superman, not chris' Superman, just Superman. I've heard other themes I like and have no dramas with but none of them feel like THE definitive Superman theme like the Williams theme. They feel like pale imitations.

Oh I hope there's new music too. A score needs more than one motif, but in terms of the main theme it's just Williams or bust for me. Even though I have a literal hatred for the Snyderverse and that Superman. I still got chills in Josstice League when it was used. To me that says something special about it that should not be washed away like its yesterday's news. It's timeless, you just have to update slightly as Gunn has done here. Still clearly Williams but with a twist that tells you its distinctly this Superman.

So, the comics version of the character has real hair and fake boobs, while the DCU version has real boobs and fake hair. Seems like a fair trade-off.

Same. I’ll always wish we got a new theme because there have been so many great ones imo, but this is working well in the promos. Also hoping for a Star Trek ‘09 situation with the score. Even though these composers are no Giacchino and likely could not produce a new theme on his level.

I think we have different definitions of "cheap" because she always screams "cheap" to me. "Cheap" and "trashy" go hand-in-hand for me, because it's all fake and just tackiness. Except Calista's version because they tried to give her some dignity on that show lol. Which was ill-advised imo.

By that token all comic book movies are cheap and easy nostalgia, as they're things we loved as children and held on to into adulthood. It's just having a sook for the sake of having a sook. The williams theme is timeless and works for all incarnations if you put it in front of them.
