How do you know they're comic book fans? How do you know they're Superman fans?

A lot of Snyder "fans" were bots. The reason that fanbase has got a lot of crap, is because they decided to follow a bunch of right wing incels who treat women and minorities like ****.

I've been a part of Facebook groups for as long as I can remember. I am a pretty big collector and I mingle with a lot of fans in these groups. Moderators do a phenomenal job in banning spammers and bots. They all attack one another in the groups themselves. The drama runs deep. What I don't understand, is if all Snyder fans are "bots", imbeciles from hell, cultists, and a minority, then why do they dominate every conversation? I've seen DC pages on social media formed to do nothing but combat the Snyder fandom. It's a sight to behold the ruckus the division has caused. The fanbase is so fractured beyond repair.

You know who's turning on each other now? The Batman fans and DCU fans. They are starting to get nasty at each other because of the tongue in cheek threat of The Batman franchise in a standstill. The DC fanbase is not in a horrific state of mind because of one vocal minority. If you're in the endless scroll of these algorithms, you get everything. A Hollywood Reporter article is cupcake compared to how all these fans talk to one another.

With that said, all those comic book movie loud mouth bullies won't matter IF the studio hits its status quo of landing with the general audience. It's really as simple as that. DC fans and Superman fans aren't close to being enough.

Outside of the echo chamber, it seems

Outside of the comfy cozy confines of Superhero hype forums..where? Isn't this all an echo chamber? I can't have a decent conversation on any platform without having to leave groups without fans being nasty to one another.

Huh?

If you're in any comic book movie realm outside of these forums that we all reside at, it's nasty. With every fanbase. So where do these positive reactions come from, because the majority who makes up the general audience or your family members barely know a new Superman film is even coming as of right now. Logging on into these forums every day is just a part of the same echo chamber we are living in.

Facebook has the rep it has for a reason. Namely boosting conspiracy and right wing BS. It's a pure echo chamber built to spread lunacy.

As for Snyder bots:

Simple. Snyderbros are part of the larger comicsgate problem we are having in fandom. 9 out of 10 times, if find a Snyder fan, you will find someone who will also be complaining about movies being "woke". Which, frankly is not shocking, given Snyder is a Ayn Rand fan, a leading indicator of a right wing *******.

I am pretty certain I will not like this movie. But, I am also damn aware that is just my issues with Gunn as a filmaker, and not an opinion on the general quality of the film.

It got so bad, Snyder had to disavow some leaders of the movement.

Sure, it's just mostly them.

If most is still a minority, then why can't they be ignored? The negative Snyder fandom only grows stronger when you have full blown identities and pages created to simply combat them and mock them. Fans of this new reboot have taken up the mantle to go into Snyder fans' back yard and continue to mock them. It's merry-go-round of endless baiting and switching.

We are ignoring them. At least dismissing them. You're the only one trying to give them legitimacy.

What does this have to do with this conversation?

There are a lot of Superman and DC fans. They just don't spend a lot of time talking about it online.
And then there are normal people. And they don't spend too much time online discussing Superman.

And ANYONE spends less time online than the constantly online Snyder cultists and bots who have made it their livelihood to spam the Internet all day, every day.

Shake it up baby, get out of the echo chamber, twist and shout!

What are you talking about? They aren't even in these forums to ignore or legitimatize, no? I still come here for the sole reason to get away from all the negativity. Judging by just the last few posts right above us, I am not the one giving them legitimacy when the main consusus is that the majority of those fans are causing the most stir. In fact, I'm the one saying that it ISN'T just Snyder Bros that may happen to bring negativity to the Superman conversation. If anything, I'm doing the opposite and acknowledging otherwise.

I simply stated that I have seen negative comments regarding this reboot that don't come from Snyder fans, and the response was "how do you know"? So, Snyder fans are being legitimized by someone else.
