We're going to get an onslaught of TV spots, tie ins, merch - the lot over the next 4 weeks.
I'm just about at the point where I'm going to go dark.
I've seen enough - I'm more than hyped already.

I'm gonna go dark only when reactions and reviews start pouring in. Dumb Facebook spoiled for me that Man of Steel was getting bad reviews back in 2013. I'd like to go into this knowing zero regarding the consensus, whether positive or negative. Easier said than done, bc July 11 is still a ways away.

I'm asking because I'm trying to decide between XD and 3D XD at Cinemark. The last time I saw anything, it detracted from the experience more than adding to it.

They haven't split yet. So the synergy still makes perfect sense. Also, the cable division will maintain a 20% stake in the studios and streaming company.

Well, I'm back. I've been silent for some time as I've been digesting this since the initial teaser, then trailer and now TV Spots.

Is it bad that I still don't know exactly how I feel?

While I showed a lot of support for Snyder and his films, I wouldn't say that I'm a Snyder Verse Activist lol. I love the first two Christopher Reeve films as well as many parts from Superman Returns. I admit it was a hard pill for me to swallow to see Cavill go and all the ups and downs and confusion from the attempted timeline reboot in The Flash and all that other stuff that came with it and other films.

I'm open and have accepted the next chapter with something new. But still, I'm just not sure how I feel. Theres's aspects I like, some I don't and of course the unknown until seeing it fully myself.

I guess this is a wait and see kind of thing for me. But it kind of hurts to not be feeling excited about a new Superman film which is so odd to me. I'm hoping to change that and hoping for a good film and success but just wondering if I'm the only one feeling this way.

Perfectly fine. To each their own, I say.

Some are excited for it like they haven't been in quite a while for a Superman movie, others will not care about it much. That simply comes with different interpretations and stories. Just like people have different preferences as far as specific comic book stories or broader eras and runs.

This sounds a lot like the place I was in after the sequel to Superman Returns was cancelled and in the lead up to Man of Steel. It still breaks my heart that Routh never had a chance to be Superman on film again.

I'm glad you can be honest about your hesitation and dissatisfaction with how Superman on film has played out over the years.

I hope Gunn's Superman goes better for you than MOS did for me. I hated MOS, outside of the first flight scene, and I never could buy Cavill in the role. I hope Gunn's made a film that you can enjoy as a Superman fan.

I for one haven't been this excited for a Superman film since build up to Superman Returns. I am trying to temper my expectations a bit so I am not let down. I have a feeling that Corenswet will be give us the greatest Superman performance we've seen to date.

Perfectly understandable. I can relate as that is exactly how I was feeling all throughout the Snyder era.

But I am more hyped for this film than any Superman project ever, by a country mile, so we all just have our preferences.

Yep! First thing that stuck out to me for absolute sure. Feels like David's theme rather than the Williams score. The music sounds better and better with each release.

It’s almost like they knew they would get backlash for the suit. I always thought that Gunn and David didn’t mind the reaction. Always a method to the madness. Clark and his glasses quip….. This movie is anti the last Superman movie.

I tried to make the shield glow a bit but didn't do that great of a job I suppose I usually get that to work but didn't want it to over take his face.
