I think it’s safe to say it’s going to be a Superman/Batman movie. I think Gunn wants to move the DCU story. I could see the Bat family cameo along with some of his more powerful rogues. Lex and Bruce is also a good show when they talk business. The question is will this movie come out before Brave and the Bold. Personally I could live without a direct sequel. Did we really need a Man of Steel 2 if BVS was a better movie. As long as the Superman sequel doesn't try to shoehorn Batman into the story in order to rush to the Justice League.
Got to give Feige credit. He turned Iron Man into Batman and Captain America into Superman for Marvel. Now with both characters gone. Gunn can bring Superman and Batman back to the top for DC.I can almost guarantee you that somewhere in Los Angeles 15-20 years ago, Kevin Feige and his people were pounding the table for Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to have a similar dynamic to Batman and Superman
That particular friendship has always been the blueprint to a successful DC Universe, and when BvS failed to strike a chord with general audiences, the entire thing was basically dead on arrival. I think Gunn understands what’s audiences want and what’s gonna work
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....Glenn Powell as Batman. Put your money on it.
I hope Batman gets the same treatment as Superman, Supergirl, and John Stewart. Good actors that have not been over exposed.Glenn Powell as Batman. Put your money on it.
Hey now, Affleck was great (in a very terrible movie, less so the follow-ups - much less so) and the meta aspect of how much of Ben's natural miserable disaster energy bled into Bruce was great. A performer with a known, recognizable history and perception is usually a boost if utilized correctly, imo.avoid that ben affleck stunt type casting again.![]()
What matters is putting butts in seats.I hope Batman gets the same treatment as Superman, Supergirl, and John Stewart. Good actors that have not been over exposed.
Lol Glen Powell is perfectly popular but he's not some ****ing crazy box office guarantor. There's tons of actors out there who are par with him in terms of popularity. What matters is putting butts in seats.
I don’t think any actor except maybe Reynolds as Deadpool and maybe Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in a Marvel movie is going to bring fans to a movie. If DC is about the money they would bring Pattinson to the DCU.What matters is putting butts in seats.
Cosmo Jarvis's destiny would be at hand if Gunn wasn't a ridiculously lazy height pervert.I'm sure DCU Batman will be another affordable, Shakespearean trained, unknown European man who will make us all swoon with that Hollywood magic.
I'm jealous, I just don't know of who.
Not for the Gunn version of the character which will probably be closer to Adam West/Joel Schumacher than Nolan/Reeves.Lol Glen Powell is perfectly popular but he's not some ****ing crazy box office guarantor. There's tons of actors out there who are par with him in terms of popularity.
He'd also be horrendously miscast, for what it's worth.
Yup. Have batman and superman team up against Lex and the joker. .For me at least, I think it’s important to get that friendship/alliance right before any justice league seeds are planted
It should be both a Batman and Superman movie, literally the World’s Finest!
Except their friendship sucked in the MCU. I never bought that they were friends which was why (well one of many reasons why) Civil War was laughable in my eyes.I can almost guarantee you that somewhere in Los Angeles 15-20 years ago, Kevin Feige and his people were pounding the table for Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to have a similar dynamic to Batman and Superman

Too busy sucking up to MAGA...
