The Batman 2 is coming in 2027. I don’t think there is anyway the DCU Batman will show up in the Superman family movie even with a small cameo. I am still not 100% convinced that Pattinson will not be the DCU Batman. Especially if the Superman family /Batman 2 pairing in 2027 is successful. This pocket universe could bring the Batman to the DCU.

It’s more about the money. Pattinson will cost way more than he is making for The Batman. One way you keep cost down is you bring in a new up and comer guy like Corenswet with excellent acting ability. I think they will do the same for Batman.

Pattinson will say yes but only if he can give DCU Batman a different (and really weird) voice lol

I still think it was a mistake to not give Hawkgirl the "racoon eyes" and leave the eye area uncovered.

But I think that if you go for raccoon eyes, you need to have smaller holes in the mask.

For my part, what Hawkgirl was missing a bit is an extra memorable scene. Mind you, I liked her, and she did get to kill the most annoying villain, but I feel like she could have been given something a bit more special to rival Mr. Terrific's fight scene and Guy's incredible swag.

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but in the end... the eyebrow gate was real!

Ultraman does indeed have lightened eyebrows.

Gunn dropped some tidbits on various podcasts. His Superman follow up will be the next DCU film to go into production, shortly after The Batman Part II. 2027 release looking likely. Also, his Superman Saga will consist of FOUR films.

Really cool!

But I wonder if it will be a Superman saga in the "true sense" of the word, or if the character will be at the center of a universe that will expand around him through films such as World's Finest or Justice League, etc.

We know that things are in development at DC Studios, but we can observe that progress is being made cautiously (which is not a bad thing). I wouldn't say they are struggling to find partners, but seeing where it's at now, I wouldn't be surprised if this DCU ended up being primarily a central Gunnverse –with a big overarching story featuring the major players under his own camera– and more distant satellites from other directors that, without contradicting anything, won't have too direct connection to the rest either (Clayface, Swamp Thing?).

And just to be clear, I don't say that it would be a problem. Gunn's passion for this universe is obviously sincere and infectious, so I'm excited!
Simply... I assume that these four films are all part of the “Gods & Monsters” chapter, and it's already quite a lot. So I imagine these could be more than just simple “Superman” flicks. And I can't help thinking that Gunn will want at least Batman—his favorite character, by his own admission—in one of these films...

Four films. Wow, all of our Superman fantasies and dreams will come true. Brianiac, Mungol, a return of Lex with his suit as villains and Lobo. Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Batman, Wonder Woman, ect will show up in one of the movies. Maybe a baby Jonathan Kent to end the saga……. Jor-El……..

It will be Superman, Supergirl, and Krypto as the main cast. Obviously the Daily planet reporters will be side characters. My side heroes would be John Stewart with the Justice Gang. You gonna need two Lanterns to fight Brainiac.

Personally, I'm hoping the Justice Gang sits this one out. If they include other heroes besides Kal and Kara, I'd prefer other Superman family heroes, like Steel.

Of course he could say no. I can’t imagine they’d be able to strong arm him into it if he didn’t want to. In a total fantasy scenario where that happened he’s probably contractually obligated for a trilogy at most and they’d want DCU Batman for more than that.

That’d never happen though, if it happens it’ll be because he enthusiastically thinks it’s a cool idea. Which he might well! I suspect if merger happens a lot of it will stem from Pattinson wanting to do it.

His exact words were "The story I'm gonna tell about Superman over 4 movies," so I don't think Supergirl would be one of those 4. Especially since he didn't have anything to do with the writing of it. I think the "Super Family" movie is #2 in this "Superman Saga."
