Wow. People are really holding back probably a minimum of a year of owning The Dark Knight? Insane.
so... they're gonna re-release it on DVD/Blu ray? It's pretty obvious they're holding back loads of stuff. From a business standpoint, it's smart. The most watched movie of this decade is worth double-dipping. People are gonna eat it up. That's why I'm skipping this edition and waiting for the release that actually has some noteworthy features.
BD rips are my friends.![]()

like after its re released in theaters?![]()
There's no doubt. This is a bare-bones release for such a major blockbuster film. They're definitely saving some extras for whenever they plan to do a "deluxe edition".so... they're gonna re-release it on DVD/Blu ray?

Yes. Yes, I am. I've already payed to watch this movie 6 times, and I will eventually buy the double-dip, so I don't consider what I'm doing, to be terrible. So your going to illegally download a movie that you love and support?![]()
I think all the TDK DVDs will be widescreen anyway. They don't make too many full screen DVDs anymore. Both "Iron Man" and "Indiana Jones IV" were released in widescreen only.So is it gonna be better to get the widescreen DVD?
Quoted for truth. And besides, it's The Dark Freaking Knight. Like you'd all really be bothered by double dipping. I double dipped with "King Kong", "Spider-Man 2" and "Sin City". I sure as hell won't mind double dipping for this one. That is the point. That is what I don't get at all. You are willing to pay to see the movie six times in theaters but your not willing to pay half what you did for movie tickets to enjoy the movie in your own home anytime you want while supporting the film even more just because there isn't as many extras as you expected? Give me a ****ing break. But whatever its your life and money just seems very odd from my perspective though.
I paid for the tickets because of the IMAX experience. I don't have a glammed-up home theater, so when I do buy DVDs, I like to buy them not just for the movie, but the footage and features I don't get to see in theaters. That is the point. Lol, it sounds like you're patronizing a devout crack addict. This is why I didn't want to get into the discussion, because it always attracts needless rants and anger.Give me a ****ing break. But whatever its your life and money just seems very odd from my perspective though.
Well fingers crossed that's the case but we've been screwed with special features etc in the past. For example our Batman Begins Collector's Edition blu-ray didn't have the postcards or movie cash, not to mention that it came out a month after TDK was released.Looks like they forgot about Batman Uncovered documentary.

Plus I dislike having extra copies of the same thing, and I can manage to wait a few months for a movie I've already seen dozens of times.

$62.95 my a*s.Here is a site that has the Batpod Edition up for pre-order for $62.95.
http://www.hdmoviesource.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=2335
I will pass. I am not gonna pay 3 times the amount just for a model of the Batpod. I was hoping for a $30-$40 price range.
You don't have to be Canadian to buy from Amazon.ca. I saved like, $40 on my organic chemistry book by buying off Amazon.ca.fellow Canucks, amazon.ca has the batpod edition listed for $49.99:
http://www.amazon.ca/Knight-Bilingu...=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1224108406&sr=1-13
Ditto.Yes, there are people who care about Indy IV unlike you...Me being one of them.
It's still strange that I didn't see a single TV ad for the DVD release until last night. I've seen a ton of ads for IM.
Great sigI hate Canadian Blu-ray's though cause half the time they have French writing all over it.![]()
wikipedia said:NR or Not Rated - NR is not an official MPAA rating. It is used for independent or foreign films that are in limited release and have not been submitted to the MPAA for a rating classification, or have surrendered their MPAA rating (e.g. This Film is not yet Rated). It is also used by a film that is soon to be released and has trailers out for promotional purposes, but has not yet received a final rating. Advertisements for films with a pending rating contain the notice "This film is not yet rated". Most films released before 1968 carry this policy. Some vendors attach "youth-restricted product" labels to certain unrated films.
No.Now, on the Warner Bros TDK order site, the single disc is rated PG13 whereas the DVD special and BLu-ray are rated NR.
Does that mean that there might be new, extended stuff rated R, more blood in some scenes, or simply that all the features have not been rated yet?
