The Dark Knight THE DARK KNIGHT crowd reports!

i heard someone say f**k when the lamborghini hit the truck

My theater cheered the second time I saw it. The third time at IMAX, some dude on the other side of theater yelled "**** YEAH!!!"

Ahhh one that is missing a certain cast member during the credits

HEATH LEDGER

The biggest applause in my second time going

nope, i saw it in orlando, regal pointe orlando imax

Joker to Batman (Interrogation): "Don’t talk like one of them, you’re not! Even if you’d like to be. To them, you’re just a freak–like me. They need you right now. When they don’t…they’ll cast you out. Like a leper. See, their morals, their code: it’s a bad joke. They’re dropped at the first sign of trouble. They’re only as good as the world allows them to be. You’ll see, when the chips are down these civilized people will eat each other."

Am I the only one who laughed or at least smirked uncomfortably at this pretty twisted comment?

I started the clap when the heath and crew memeber memorial came on screen at the midnight showing. Im Proud :]

To take this thread one step further, more people seemed to be impressed with the way the Bat-pod went up the wall and turned around, probably because that wasn't shown in the trailers.

Also, practically every time I see the film there's always a few that haven't seen yet and LOVE the magic trick-clap.

i watched the movie 4 times and all 4 times ppl clapped, cheered, or gasped

pencil magic trick

batman and the skyhook

semi truck flipping over

batpod went up and off the wall

gordon returning from the dead

joker washing his hands

joker walking away from the hospital

The pencil trick drew the most reaction from my audience, but the Batpod hitting the wall, crawling up and it and then turning around drew a few claps.

that's how you know you've executed a scene well, when you can show people the scene a dozen times on tv and they still react like it was unexpected when they watch it in the theater.

then again, the screen difference is pretty significant. i remember surprising myself by being pretty amazed by the truck flip scene despite how many times ive seen it on the small screen.

but mostly the crowd laughed at the funny scenes. especially the joker nurse scene when he goes "Hi..."

No way. The way Heath says "Like a leper!" is quite hysterical and bizarre. It's those little weird inflections that he makes, the way his voice bounces from high to low, that's absolutely engaging.

after seeing that scene countless times i still laugh....he finds it so funny

yeah people cheered even though it was in the trailer. We all knew it was going to flip, but the reason why it flipped was just badass, hence the cheering

When I saw this movie in the advanced screening and the midnight showing EVERYONE gasped and was amazed at that scene. I loved it so much!
