The Dark Knight The Dark Knight FAQ (Check here first)

Joker will have henchmen/women? like Bob in Batman 89? Bob was great but I don't want Joker to have henchmen or henchwomen.

Solo is my preference too but there are practical reasons for having them in a film - more fighting for one.

Joker: "Kill the Bat"

Henchmen: "Yes boss"

it would be like Schumacher Bat movies. No way I want them.

LMAO. That's true.

He sounded like a lone killer at the end of BB, so who knows.

Not really though. For practical purposes Batman can fight any number of characters really. Most notably Maronis goons...those left over from the Falcone regime and quite possibly Cobblepot/Penguins henchmen.

Joker SHOULD NOT have henchmen. This movie should be about Batman and Joker and their complete hatred for one another. It has to be personal.

Does Iron Man have a Notebook?
Posted : December 4, 2006 Writer : Clint Morris
Hollywood’s go-to girl of the moment, Rachel McAdams (whose name I’ve heard linked to a certain role in the upcoming “Batman” sequel, as well, though why wouldn’t it be?), might be rubbing her lean, well-moisturized hands along the armour of one Tony Stark.

Yep, according to Latino Review, the star of the No.1 weepie of 2004, “The Notebook”, is believed to be on director Jon Favreau’s ‘most wanted’ list to play Pepper Potts in his big-screen version of “Iron Man”.

Unlike a lot of other superhero girlfriends (though for the most part, Potts and Stark have a purely platonic relationship), Pepper knows that her long-time bud plays dress-up at night and fights criminals.

Virginia "Pepper" Potts is an executive secretary to Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, who eventually married Stark's chauffeur and assistant Happy Hogan – despite the fact that she was initially infatuated with the Tone-Bone himself. Later, Pepper divorces Happy Hogan and her initial infatuation with Stark returns.

Jon Favreau has been accepting suggestions from ‘the common folk’ for the role of Potts on his MySpace page for the film. Among the most popular suggestions for the role – besides McAdams – are Kristen Bell (who I believe may have been contacted about the role at some point), “Serenity” star Jewel Staite, and Famke Janssen. If Favreau is indeed listening to his fans, chances are he’s already met with all those girls about the role.

I know this has been speculated upon before, but I thought I'd just post this anyway as it was posted as of today and mentions the Big Bad Bat. :batty:

Or it would be like TAS, which would rule.

True. Henchmen doesn't necessarily have to mean goons though...in DKR he had a guy who made bombs for him, for instance. Or, if they really are going the Five Way Revenge route, they could be gangsters he worked with before his chemical bath that he wants rid of...or even just the two guys who robbed the chemical plant with him ala TKJ.

Regarding this update from moviehole....i would think that McAdams may be a candidate for Dr. Harleen Quinzel.

I just think the best way to portray Joker would be to have him as the unpredictable rogue.

No she's canidate for Selina Kyle.

I think that Joker could have a sort of little gang, like in ROTJ. Freakish-like guys/gals who would serve Joker well. But otherwise I'd rather he would just work alone.

How can you be so sure? Source por favor..?

I would rather see her be Harley. I always had this feeling that if Nolan does introduce Harleen....then when she loses it and becomes Harley....Nolan would have Harley be more like Daryl Hannahs side kick character she played to Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner. Especially since Blade Runner was an influence on Nolan when making Begins.

I put this in the "Some TDK News" thread, but it fits in this thread too. This was posted on BOF's News Page.....

Well, at least it's SOMETHING!

Tuesday, December 12, 2006 - 10:07 AM Last week, several websites, namely my friends over at MOVIEHOLE.NET, mentioned that Rachel McAdams has been rumored for a part in TDK. McAdams was also said to be up for the role of "Pepper Potts" in IRON MAN. Well, according to McAdams fansite RACHELONLINE.NET, McAdams' publicist has shot down the IRON MAN rumor. What does this have to do with TDK? Probably nothing, but since 2007 is fast approaching, we'll find out soon enough...

Just speculating here, but IF McAdams does snag a role in TDK, what part will it be? What does this mean for the Rachel Dawes character and Katie Holmes returning?

I really hope Nolan and company do not cast a whole new actress for Rachel....it would be a huge distraction to the film IMO. Either kill off Rachel or do not include her in the film. She practically said goodbye to Bruce at the end of Begins....so they should just say she too a D.A. position in another city or something. McAdams is not right for Selina/Catwoman IMO......but I do think she would be a great Harley Quinn.

hey batman (the person) do u think the 2nd movie will be good, great or what

First page updated with the confirmation of Holmes not returning, Norton, Foxx, Lucas being the top three candidates for Harvey, the new "minor roles", and Penguin won't be appearing after all.

Also, TDK is scheduled to film in Chicago for 13 weeks.

I think it should be more personal. I could see the need for hired help on a big job or something but not henchmen. Henchmen are more like hanging out with the Joker 24/7, hired help just get paid to do the job and that's it.
