She really was the only female character in that movie with more than like a line of dialogue. That movie would've been a total sausagefest without her.

Not only that, but since it had Christian Bale and Michael Caine, they were all HUGE sausages to boot.

I'd think it would be the opposite. You need a love interest of some sort to attract a female audience.

Besides, Katie Holmes is cute, but not cute enough to make me spend $10 on a movie I wouldn't see otherwise.

I think you are. The majority of people I know and have spoken with want her back. In fact I think "Begins" wouldn't have been the same without a character like Rachel. Drama and conflicting headlines, like Rachel's, make a excellent background. And it's not difficult to notice that considering all the comic movies that have been released recently.

Sex and Violence ^^^... I'd prefer a Viki Vale since Selina's character has been nailed pretty darn well by Burton... get Bassinger back and use that CGI to make her look younger... damn that ***** was hot...

^^well the majority IVE spoken too, dont want her back. They think her and the love story she brought to BB was the weakest part of the movie, and quite unessesary. In fact one of major problems i had with the early leaked script (which thankfully was rectified) was in the end when bruce tries to give up being batman just to be with her, not only was it out of character, it completley ruined the whole concept of batman, and it was obvious it all came about because the studio execs wanted a love story.

I dont want a love story for bruce in the sequel, and if they put one in i wouldnt want it with a character as boring and annoying as rachel dawes since katie holmes had ZERO chemistry with bale.

then agen Cake you are entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong it is.

Is that's how it's going to be? Are people just going to see Ledger for that role from now on? Personally I think that's stupid. The guy is an actor, he is supposed to portray different types of roles. He was Oscar nomiated for that role. I just think it's daft that people are going to see a gay cowboy when they see this movie. If that's the case, then there is no way they are going to enjoy this movie, no matter what Ledger does.

Well Ledger been confirmed by Warner & Nolan as The Joker . And I Believe Nolan knows what he's doing so. If he believes Ledger can be THE JOKER . Then I'm all for it .
