Really interested in this for two reasons.

Òne it'll show the death of Jason Todd. The one that Miller implied a few years before the Death in the Family. I wonder how it will differ. I'm guessing it's going to be grizzly and Jason will probably sacrifice himself to save Batman somehow, hence the 'Good soldier' line.

Secondly I'm interested to see how Superheroes are outlawed and if it will be Reagan or maybe Ford or Nixon who introduced the act to ban them. Nixon would be an interesting tie in with Watchmen

That's awesome. I'm more excited about this project than DK3. There's a stronger chance the story will be better, and frankly, I'm more interested in fleshing out the events of the TDKR. Seeing the true meaning behind Bruce's "never again" while gazing at the old Robin costume.

Well I certainly hope in but it seems that's what he's hinting at. Could it be they asked him to collaborate with another writer on III but as part of the deal they offered him IV as his own story?

I think the idea was (and this is morbid) that at the time Frank wasn't sure if he'd live all that long and wanted to do one more Dark Knight before he kicked the bucket, a last hurrah to go out on, which he needed help to do because of his poor health. He's had a remarkable improvement in the last few months, so maybe he thinks he can do another without help.
