It could be Joseph's role, ONLY if it's based on a character that we were not expecting. If he turns out to be Black Mask or Robin, then yeah. If he turns out to be Alberto, then I don't think Variety would make a big deal out of it. His tweet was carefully worded: People will be super excited. In fact, he was excited too. Alberto doesn't make people jump up and down. No disrespect to Alberto of course!

That would be CRAZY if it turns out to be like Brainiac. It's possible that Zack asked Goyer to rewrite the villain, who knows. As far as I know, Zack has never ever mentioned the villains by name (besides Zod back in October).

Perhaps, some of the rumors have been traced back to an earlier draft of the script. Who knows..

Well it won't be Robin. That's for sure.

Confirmation of JGL's role, confirmation of Marion being in the movie(she's not) and her role could be huge.

And it's not even a "depending on the role" thing.

This movie is HUGE. This franchise is huge. Almost anything to do with this movie that's confirmed by Nolan and/or the studio will get huge press no matter what, before and after the confirmation of said news begins.

I dunno. I'm hoping that for the first they will do Zod (great tie to the origin story and Kal-El's heritage) then I would have Metallo and Brainiac later, I think Brainiac needs his own film, with no origin clutter. But that's me lol.

With me, this could be their only shot for Brainiac b/c Superman's future is questionable with the rights issues.

I mean, if it's Zod, I'm okay with it but he would have to be re-imagined b/c he's kinda two-dimensional. If Viggo Mortensen was cast as Zod, then I would be excited.

That would be amazing, but kinda doubtful. Singer's going right into production on Jack the Giant Killer which is aiming for a summer 2012 release. There's no way Singer would be able to direct The Wolverine if 20th Century Fox is still adamant it reach theaters in 2012.

Not gonna happen b/c Fox probably wants the movie out ASAP and Singer is busy with Jack the Giant Killer right now.

That report was debunked. According to other sources, and most importantly Hugh Jackman, they are still searching for a new director and plan to aggressively move forward with the film.

But seriously, I'm excited for most comic projects so I won't be disappointed unless the scoop itself is underwhelming.

But The Holllywood Reporter, Dead Line, and Latino Review don't have perfect records either. They're reliable 80-90% of the time.
