The Dark Knight The-Dark-Knight's Joker-Observation-What's the Twist?

hey i dont know if anyone else has noticied and ive been hoping somebody would have said something about it the day it came out but...ZOOM in!
his scar is photoshopped, at least its looking that way to me, if you zoom in real close its kindof squared around alittle bit and looks like somebody tampered with it before they released it, and the new twist was supposed to end with a ?

I think his healed scar is going to reopen and that's when we'll get the big reveal of the "ghastly grin", possibly even a bloody one.

has anybody thought that, and this is totally out of my ass here, that maybe he is in that bank for a long time? like a hostage standoff or something? who says it has to be an in and out thing? i am not clear on this but wasnt there swat vand or cop cars at the scene? that means hed have to be there for a while for them to show up. i dunno just a thought, dont eat me alive lol

its a silicone prosthetic. what you might be seeing is the blending edge of said prosthetic. one reason this pic looks different is its the first shot of the joker we have that is actually from the movie. everything else was a spy shot, through a blurred frame, or under intense light.

i also think the "gash" heals and actually becomes a "scar" throughout the movie.

lol. thats disturbing . but yeah all this talk about different makeups and stuff is driving me crazy i just wanna know whats going on, its still a long time away.. i think the knife pic has been tampered with for sure. and i kinda like the first official joker pic, looks freaky. hope he looks like that throughout.

Probably not, just after Joker burst out of the bank in the bus, it looks like the initial police response gets to the scene. Seems like the hostage situation occurs later in the day

Ok, I realize that first set picture is blurry, but the shirt doesn't look the same as the one in the bank robbery picture, there's none of the same pattern, or at least it looks that way. How do we know that the Joker isn't the one in purple in the back of the bank robbery one, setting the sides, well, aside? Did they say so when the picture was released?

you're high.

Remember when Heath says pay attention to the eyes in his interviews? What does he mean the panda circles, or something more important??

He said portraying the character is more about the eyes than the laugh, he's talking about acting.

as for joker-no chemical bath, please. so overplayed; so 60's. radiation does not make superheroes or supervillians. it just causes various early-onset cancers unusually reserved for discrete portions of the populace with specific risk factors.

joker's much more likely to be a product of mob retaliation; those guys can get nasty. armed robbery, murder. a self-absorbed narcissist who gets disfigured by mob cruelty (in a time frame b/ the crimes that get him locked up in arkham, a sham commitment under crane, and crimes occuring in TDK that force him to take greater chances for a struggling mob element and for himself) and decides that without his face, nothing else matters. an absurdist point of view. there is no meaning without me; no meaning within me. there is no meaning without the fight b/ me and batman (disorder v. order).

outfit killers routinely cut out tongues. why not have them cut out cheeks? to remove any sunny disposition? to destroy any idea of attaining happiness?

no, 60's.
spiderman debuted 1962. FF 1961. hulk 1962.
unless your calendar is off, those years would count as the 60's; maybe not the '60's' as people remember them, but i can think of no better name for now.

And Microwave Emitters don't just evaporate the water in the sewers. It would just fry every person within a mile of it and destroy the metal in the monorail.

That didn't stop Nolan, now did it?

Juangi was referring to the fact that the Joker's origin was created in 1951, not the 60's.

Don't know if it has been said or not, but if you guys will recall also, people seen Ledger's stunt double hiding out under the cloak by the school bus, but when it was taken off and they were ready to film people seen that his double did indeed have green hair.

fair enuff. joker started in the 40's as serial killer. but the radio-active trend was not 50's but 60's.
chemical bath came even later.
nolan will stretch reality, for a purpose. anyone notice that the insides of joker's ears are flesh colored? who the the hell paints the inside of their ears? no one. joker will not, can not, be bleached by chemical anything. his outward appearance will only reflect the mind within.

for the love of

the chemical bath explanation was presented in 1951

this is not a bad idea with the mob thing, however; it has been leaked that the joker gets scarred in a confrontation w/ batman. this is my speculation but when the info on the new batsuit came out it said somthing about replacing his arm guards from the first movie w/ new retractable ones, could this be how he gets gashed?

GOOD POINT!!!

ok. joker was created in the 40's if we must tell the truth. with an origin that has no specific date. nolan might pick and choose; but i think he's gonna pick and choose in my line of thinking. when AMH is jeremiah arkham you can all bend over and kiss my ass.

you need to work on your smack talk....

After all this debate about the Joker applying makeup, and the Joker's skin actually being bleached, I think I can safely say the the Joker goes through some stages throughout the film according to the pictures. I made this observation sheet just so you guys could see what I'm trying to say here. Hope this thread isn't considered useless, hope you guys could agree what I'm trying to say.
