Character You Would Like To Play: Havok (Alex Summers)

Powers: He absorbs cosmic energy and releases it as a plasma discharge or blast.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point): Alex Summers was the son of Major Christopher Summers a test pilot in the U.S Air Force. After a vacation with the family, Chris flew his family home in his private jet. The engines were damaged and the mother of Alex, Katherine, threw him and his older brother, Scott, out of the door in the only available parachute. The parachute saved the brothers but gave Scott a head injury. Scott was sent to an orphanage away from Alex who was adopted by The Blandings family. There he soon developed his powers when he fired a plasma blast in college, knocking a hole in his dorm wall. After the incident The Blandings family called Professor Charles Xavier to help Alex control his powers. Now Alex has decided to join the X-men as Havok.

"Wow that was close!" cried Havok as he rolled at the way of the blast fired from the Sentinel. he was in an empty ruinned street against the sentinel. He fired a plasma blast that hit the arm of the Sentinel.

Havok leapt in the air as a missile was fired at the place he was standing.
"Oh no you don't you damn robot!" Havok yelled as he ran underneath the legs of the Sentinel and shot it in the rear of the head. Sparks flew from the head and The Sentinel stumbled before Havok fired another blast into the chest of the robot at full power. the robot crumpled to the floor, destroyed.

The scenary around Havok changed as he was back in the Danger Room.
"Nicely done Alex smiled professor Xavier as he came in on hsi wheelchair.
"Anytime, Professor Xavier."
"I think you may, be ready, for the X-Men," smiled Charles and lead Havok from the room.

What is the current status on the Avengers? X-Men? Fan Four (I'm assuming the mission I planned out hasn't happened yet). Lets bounce around some ideas and get things started.

I'll let Kaboom fill you in on the Avengers, since that's his baby.

Wolverine is currently leading the X-Men (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Psylocke, Gambit, Iceman) to pick up Chamber in England. There might be some heavy interaction with Excalibur down the line... we'll see.

The Fantastic Four pretty much ended when you dropped Reed, so I believe you're good to go if you wanna resume that storyline.

I would think the Avengers might... but the FF have yet to obtain their powers.

'DAWN OF MARVELS' RPG Application

Character You Would Like To Play: Daredevil aka Matt Murdock

Powers: Murdock was blinded as a youth when his eyes came into contact with high levels of radioactive waste. The waste essentially "short-circuited" his optic nerve, permanently blinding the boy. However, his other four senses (touch, taste, smell, and hearing for those of you who didn't pass fourth grade the first few times) function at unparalleled levels. The muscles in his body grew stronger, giving him strength and agility comparable to that of an Olympic grade athlete. His sense of smell was heightened to primal levels, allowing him to track people and gain perceptions of the world around him that others couldn't imagine. His sense of taste was made more acute, granting him the ability to feel subtle changes in temperature. Lastly, Murdock's sense of hearing has given him superhuman balance. He can climb across any surface and, while hearing wind currents, can "see" the events happening before him.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point):

Matt Murdock grew up in the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, one of New York’s toughest, most crime ridden neighborhood’s. He never knew his mother, and in all actuality isn’t sure what happened to her as his father, a down on his luck boxer named Jack Murdock, “Battlin’ Jack”, would never reveal her fate. Jack had come up the hard way in life. His mother died giving birth, and his father was an abusive drunk. Hitting the streets at 15 years old, he found fighting as not only a means of survival, but also quick cash. Though a noble cause at first, he soon found himself using his fighting abilities as an enforcer/collector for an up and coming crime syndicate. Many times over the years Jack has tried to leave the thug life behind, but he has never found any permanent escape. Not wanting his son to end up like him, Jack hides sinister job from his son, using a cover story of having a job working the docks while using his enforcer money, and what earnings he can still garner by boxing, to send Matt to an upscale private school in hopes of giving Matt a leg up on succeeding in life.

Matt prospers in his educational career, but Hell’s Kitchen is not a place of understanding and forgiveness. The neighborhood youth resents Matt and his high scale education, seeing the boy as thinking he’s better than everyone else. At one time a timid boy, the older bullies tagged him with the nickname “Daredevil” as a cruel joke. As Matt entered his teens, he began to secretly train his body and mind, claiming to stay later at school while actually hanging around seedy gyms and back alleys, learning all he could about fighting. At one of the gyms he frequented, he met a blind man simply called “Stick”, who took a shining to Matt and took him under his wing.

Coming home from school one day, Matt sees and elderly man, burdened down by an armful of groceries, trip and fall into the street, right into the path of an oncoming truck. Thinking quickly, Matt rushes out into the street, pushing the man to safety and though the truck has time to swerve, the sudden change in motion upends to trailer, spilling the contents out onto the street. Matt is splashed in the eyes with the fluid from one of the barrels, a toxic by-product. At the hospital, Matt and his father are informed that Matt will never see again and while the owner of the truck, Fisk Corporations, offered to cover any and all expenses, Jack strangely refuses. Matt himself also hides a secret now, changed forever by the accident.

When Matt finally graduated from high school, despite his handicap, and earned a full scholarship to Columbia Law School, Jack finally saw the opportunity to put his days of crime behind him once and for all. His boxing career seeing a resurgence, Jack quickly saw himself in line to contend for the world title and regain. When the FBI came knocking to ask about his cloudy past, they offered Jack a full pardon if he would cooperate as an informant a give up the names of anyone he had worked for. On the eve of his world title fight in Las Vegas, and just a week from having to appear in court, Jack Murdock was killed when a limo he was riding in to the fight weigh-in exploded.

Matt, heartbroken and not understanding why his father would be a target for murder, finished law school top of his class, and has just opened his own law firm with his college roommate Franklin “Foggy” Nelson. Seeking to improve the world and protect the innocent, and to prevent anyone else suffering the tragedies he has, Matt fights for truth by day in the courtrooms, but knows all to well that will not be enough. Soon though, in the night skies about New York and Hell’s Kitchen, evil will meet it’s new enemy, as the devil himself has escaped from Hell.

2. He's by far one of the darker characters in the universe, since there's rarely a happy ending in his stories.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you changing him or her?): Murdock sees himself as judge, jury, and executioner of punishment when the legal system fails. He is egotistical and self-centered, thinking of himself as the "Devil of Punishment," directly drawing of off his Christian youth's "God of Mercy."

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I'm the Hype!'s self-proclaimed "Guardian Devil..." What more do you want?

Also, I can bring some of the most realistic court scenes to be seen in a Hype! game, since I've won numerous awards (and never lost a single case) in my State's Mock Trial / Moot Court competition and have tried various cases as an intern at two Boston Law firms.
