Character You Would Like To Play: Scott Summers, codename: Cyclops

Powers: Scott is a mutant with the ability to fire concussive blasts from his eyes in the form of a ruby-colored beam. He is a skilled shot, often using an uncanny sense of spatial awareness to hit a target by reflecting his blast off another object. Furthermore, he appears to be resistant to most forms of energy.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point):

Scott Summers was the older of the two sons of Major Christopher Summers, a test pilot in the U. S. Air Force. When Scott was a child, Major Summers flew himself, his wife Katherine, and his sons Scott and Alex back from a vacation in his vintage private plane. The plane's engines failed and Katherine pushed Scott and Alex out the plane door with the only available parachute. The parachute was unable to slow their fall sufficiently to prevent Scott from suffering a head injury on landing. Scott and Alex were orphans, they were seperated and Scott was sent to a orphanage.

When Scott hit puberty his mutant power kicked in, optic blast flew out of his eyes and destroyed the orphanage wall. Scott spent the next five years with his eyes closed, afraid to open them again. Until a man named Charles Xavier came into his life and opened his eyes.

How does everyone feel about a 3 Character Rule? I think it should be something temporary...until this RPG is (completely) self-sustaining again.

I dropped Kassidy because I didnt have a clue what to do with him and wanted to focus on Deadpool, so 3 characters is a bit much for me but I'm all up for others having 3

The only forseeable problems with it are: how do you decide when there's enough activity to go back to 2 characters? Do you ever go back to 2 characters? Is it unfair to let people grab this many characters right off the bat?

I suppose 2 really is enough, but it's just something to think about.

I think that there are enough roles that we could have the 3-character rule. Not everybody is going to pick up 3 characters, but I think that if we do that we should have things organized well so we have both heroes and villains. It could really jumpstart the RPG again.

I honestly couldn't tell you.

And I just introduced my Eddie Brock at the Daily Globe, so I might have retconned that Venom. But like I said, I'm open to coming up with a way to introduce Venom this early.

Powers: He has the symbiote suit, which gives him enhanced strength. However, because the symbiote has not bonded to Spider-Man, it is not immune to his spider-sense, nor can Venom stick to walls. He can still dig his claws into the wall though, so its basically the same thing. He's super agile, and still secretes the web-like stuff. The only real difference is the spider-sense thing.

It torments him by constantly talking to him, but he is slowly getting used to the idea. The symbiote is bent on being a hero, and is convinced that it was created to do so. Eddie stopped and smiled. "You know, I never really thought about it that way."

As I presented it, Peter and Eddie are friendly towards one another at first. But that can change if you want them to be pure rivals instead.

I know, I'm thinking of taking him back up in the 616 RPG. He's a character I really like and as UK told me "I made him my own" I'll just chill and see what's going on before I decide if I want back in.
