I'll fill you in on the X-Men, since I've been RPing them single-handedly via Wolverine...

Basically, they went on their first mission to pick up Chamber in England, but he was used as bait and the X-Men were attacked by several gunmen. You might as well just read the posts. The entire mission is literally like, 2 posts long.

Logan and Xavier are currently speaking at the mansion in private...

'DAWN OF MARVELS' RPG Application

Screenname: Marvels Finest

Character You Would Like To Play: Jon Starsmore/Chamber

Powers: Chamber is a mutant who is naturally composed of pure psionic energy. In truth is physical body is just a shell for what he truly is. The initial emergence of his powers blew a hole in his chest and lower face, completely incinerating most of his internal organs. Because of this, Chamber no longer needs to eat, drink, or breathe. Oddly enough, Chamber's blood does continue to flow through his extremities, as if propelled by a churning engine of psionic flame itself. However, he is sustained solely by the psionic flame that rages within his body. If it were somehow snuffed out, he would most likely die. But then, he might argue that he's already died once, and came back, so his reaction to a disruption of his mutant abilities may still be unclear. As his flames are actually psionic in nature, and do not rely on some form of fuel to continue to burn, they do not seem to be affected by conditions that would be adverse to actual flame.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point): Jonothon Starsmore and his girlfriend Gayle Edgerton were at a London nightclub when his mutant ability erupted in an explosion of psionic energy. The blast tore a hole in his body from his mouth to his navel, destroying several of his major internal organs including his heart and lungs, and also crippled Gayle’s legs. Jono survived the manifestation, though his body had been transformed into a “chamber” of volatile energy. Horrified, Jono fled, and went into hiding in the sewers of London. It was then that he was contacted by Charles Xavier via projected telepathy, which actually startled Jonothan at first, for he did not know of this newfound ability. Charles explained to him that he provided a safe haven for people like himself, and that he could help him control his powers. So Starsmore prepared for his voyage to the states, hoping to find the safehouse he'd been looking for.

1. He's my favorite Marvel character of all time.

2. He can still get tang, even without a lower jaw.

3. I miss playing him, and I don't know why I didn't think of him before.

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you changing him or her?): I plan on having Jonothan manifest better control over his powers, (over time, of course), as well as giving him a slightly more social personality. I also want to explore the potential of his powers--how much damage he really can do.

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I can bring frequent, descriptive posts. I can also bring a positive attitude towards this game. t: I really want to get the X-Men going.

Character You Would Like To Play: Jean Grey

Powers: Telekinesis on an atomic level and telepathy.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point): Jean Grey was born in a small town in New York. All through her life she was an outcast. No one in school liked her because she wasn’t into sports, didn’t buy the trendiest clothes, and hung out with the people who weren’t considered “normal.”

On the first day of 12th grade, Jean found out that she was a mutant. It was in science class. The teacher was passing out textbooks and when she came to Jean, people started making fun of her. In a fit of rage, Jean sent the textbook flying across the room. From that day on, life for the future Marvel Girl was living hell. Everyday she was made fun and everyday her powers would develop more and more. She could hear her classmates’ thoughts, sense their feelings. Her parents grew worried and tried seeking medical help. They could find nothing. The something terrible happened.

On the last day of school, Jean had too much of people making fun of her. She lost total control of her powers; she wasn’t even the same person anymore. The person that was using poor Jean’s body called herself the Phoenix. She telekinetically destroyed the school around her. The Phoenix would have killed the students too if it hadn’t been for Charles Xavier. He responded to her parent’s cry for help and came to the school at just the right moment. He shut down her mind and took her to his school especially made for mutants.

While she was unconscious, he placed barriers in her mind that blocked her from using her powers at their maximum level. When she awoke, he asked Jean and her family if he could take Jean in as the first student at his school. They accepted. After a few years of perfecting their powers, Charles’ team of mutants: Cyclops, Psylocke, Jean, Wolverine, Storm, and Colossus formed the X-Men.

The redhead sat down on a table way in the back of the starch white room and placed her brown paper bag on the table before her. Samantha, Frankford High’s resident *****, sat down in front of her.

“Hey Jeannie, how’s your lunch?”

“Let me stop you right there. My name is Jean. Not Jeannie. And since when did you care about how I felt anyway? As far as I can remember, the only time you talk to me is to make fun of my hair or my clothes or-“

“Or the fact that you’re a mutie? Your kind is trash. God only knows, why you pieces of **** even exist!”

“God only knows, huh? How about you go and ask him!” Jean cried, pushing her hands forward. Samantha went flying across the cafeteria, landing on her back near the garbage cans. The teachers looked around, astonished by the feat.

“I never did anything to any of you people and all you guys do is make fun of me! Well next time, maybe you’ll think twice,” she exclaimed before rushing out of the cafeteria.
