The "DC: New Age" RPG Volume 1 Signup/OOC Thread

Well, I kind of don't understand who would be Nightwing though; in-game character wise. I may not be part of the "bat family" that Master Bruce and byrd_man are in this RPG...but I don't see who could be left that would be tied to that "legacy", when the current Batman is Dick's kid for one.

I don't mean to turn away a new player, but perhaps he should try someone else.

Hey everyone -- I'm thinking about creating a new character to take over as Nightwing, what would you all think about that?

First off, welcome to the RPG! It's always good to get new players. t:

Second, about Nightwing, as has already been mentioned, that's a pretty complex situation. You have Master Bruce and byrd man playing Batman and Robin, and they are filling the roles of descendants of important Batman characters. And then you have Catman PRB playing Tim Drake, who I understand is going to develop into a costumed hero, who I assume will be a Nightwing-type figure.

So while I'm not saying don't be Nightwing (if you can talk to all involved and work something out, I'll go with it), it might be easier for you if you were to choose someone else, unrelated to the Bat-family. That might give you more freedom to do what you want with your character.

I'd definitely be cool with that, provided it's not Zoom (I've got some major plans laid out for the new Zoom).

I know I was planning on making McCulloch the leader of the new Rogues who are part freedom fighters against the government, and part criminals.
I have yet to touch on any of them yet as I'm still finishing up my backstory arc, so you can run with them how you desire.
Just keep their personalities and such in mind if you do decide to play one of them, Rainer.

Why not play a Batman villain? As far as i know, only a few are in use. I had an idea of Cassandra Cain being the leader of a sort of underground organisation to help meta-humans being chased by the law. Any feed-back?

Well, I can think of ways to incorporate Owen into what's going on in the surface, but that may take a few posts (still pondering which of the two ideas for my next post I will decide).

So I don't mind when you decide to do the memorial thing. If anything, depending on your "surprise" and overall post, it would help me decide which of the two things I plan to do for my next post.

Metropolis and other cities will be heavily survilanced after this, Joker's pressence will be felt highly in the various cities raising awhere ness of the events.

I'd go with the cop, myself. Tim is an awesome detective, so you can have some Gotham Central type arcs with him in that regard.
