Is this real life? How's that even possible?

I'm genuinely curious as to how the next four years will turn out.

Yes, Its not like the Republicans will just let him go mad and do what he wants to do. When America goes to crap, at least I wasn't part of electing him but will still have to deal with the ramifications of other peoples grave mistake.

Difference here is that Trump has the full force of Congress and the Supreme Court behind him.

Yep, people don't seem to realize that it's not just this moronic manchild who isn't qualified, it's the likes of Gingrich, Pence and Giuliani that will be put into power positions that makes things dangerous.

I meant OF YOU.

Assumed that was implied.

Ah.

Yeah, that movie really put it into perspective. I would always fight in WWII, The American Revolution, and the Civil War but I couldn't narrow it down to why with one word until that film. Bullies. That simple.

And on second point - hopefully MARVEL and DISNEY take full advantage of this. They can swing people away from the dark side through Star Wars and the MCU because they've just become very political and timely right now. 'Rogue One' for example wouldn't have had as much political weight and commentary if it was under Clinton's reign, now that it's under the empire - I just really see it catching on to all of our emotions and fears about what's going on, especially with the optimism it proves = the good guys eventually win.

No. They're not. You shouldn't kill yourself, but don't normalize this election.

America just elected Donald Trump president. There has never been an election like this. America is in trouble. The world is in trouble.

We need all the sane people in the country. Don't go.
And yet every election, people say exactly what you have. I am no fan of Trump in the slightest, but the hyperbole is getting out of hand. Could things go bad? Yes. Could things fair better than expected? Yes. My point is not that Trump isn't an anomaly, but that we need to have faith in ourselves and each other; screaming about WW3 (again, something that happens every election) helps no one.

I think Trump won't be able to handle the daily stress of the job. Pence isn't a psychopath like Trump but he would be a major step back for reproductive and homosexual rights.

I doubt the rest of the world has faith in you guys. You just voted in a reality TV moron as President.

The vindictive side of me wants this to blow up in Trump supporters' faces so bad! I want the whole thing to just completely come unglued!

I'm just worried about the supporters who voted him in. We're going to be hearing about a lot of hate crime and bigotry on the news now in the coming years. As if the tension between cops and minorities aren't enough.

Just woke up to hear the news. Wow...this is actually happening? Really?

I guess the FBI and KKK got their wish.Congrats America!:(

How old are you? Is this your first election? Keep your chin up.

Every election is like this: the losing side is all doom and gloom, acting like the president elect will have the powers of an emperor and will single-handedly destroy the nation. That's not how this works. Trump will not be a god-king, and half the country is not sexist. The majority of the country did not vote for a sexist; they voted against unbridled government corruption. Was Trump the best alternative? No, but we as a country can and will go on. Have some faith.

Faith in what? Trump is a flipping moron, who doesn't understand anything.

Let me ask you some key questions: How will he make Mexico pay for the Wall? How will his plan make the American economy better?

Hillary sucks and that is why she lost, but lets not pretend Trump is some okay guy, just because she proved more popular then Hillary.

Except that Congress was reluctantly behind him, if at all. That fact will play a massive role in the next two years when they'll be voted out.

A candidate that's this much of a bigot becoming President is new.

Sad part of this election is when we get official results she probably will beat him in the popular vote. F' the electoral college

Maybe that's the one silver lining in this. Getting more people out of those rose colored glasses and "Murica is greatest cuz Murica" bubble.

Murica stopped being great long ago. We have only given the world, reality tv stars and marvel films.

They were reluctantly behind him because like most everyone else, they thought he would lose and didn't want to get dragged down by him.

If the GOP was smart they'd do everything they can to set up Trump for failure while shoring up their own asses for reelection. Hell of it is they have to support him. He's the standard bearer for the party now.

I am a student of history and politics. I know what I am talking about.

America has never elected a Trump.

Trump is an anomaly. And everyone has tried to normalize this. You are giving a nuclear arsenal to a man whose own political campaign will not trust with a Twitter Account.

Trump has said and done things no president has ever done. Things in fact no president has ever come close to. Russian intelligence has used this man as a patsy.

You are going to see very soon what I mean.

California could take weeks to count all their vote. But it's very possible she leads the popular vote with it.
