The Dark Knight The ending of The Dark Knight

I don't want to think about it, but it could end with Harvey Dent dissapearing after he was scarred...

(Now Commissioner) Gordon: Well, you saved the day once again Batman!

Batman: Thanks!

Gordon: But have you ever thought about the chill factor?

Batman: The what?

Gordon: You know, you look cool, so the bad guys start wanting to look cool too. Suddenly everyone's chilling out...

Batman: What are you getting at?

Gordon: Picked this up at a high profile Jewl heist. Double homicide. And a taste for being cool, such as yourself...

*Gordon hands Batman an ice cube, indicating the villain of the next film is non other than Mister freeze..."

Batman: I'll look into it.

Then, for the "third" (seventh) movie...

Gordon: Good work, Batman!

Batman: Thx!

Robin: Ahem.

Batman: Oh, I'm sorry. Jim, this is my new underage live-in crimefighting Partner, Robin.

Gordon: Huh. What a coincidence, because Bruce Wayne just took in a young boy about your age last week! Small world. Anyway, have you thought about masked animal factor yet Batman?

Batman: The what?

Gordon: You know, you run around dressed as a masked animal, then suddenly they're running around as masked animals. Take this character, for instance...

*Gordon hands Batman a box of Kittie Litter, revealing the villain of the next movie is none other than Catwoman.*

Batman: I'll...

Robin: AHEM!

Batman: I mean WE'll look into it.

And for the "fourth" (eighth) movie...

Gordon: Nice Work Batman and Robin! You saved the day again!

Batgirl and Nightwing: Ahem!

Batman: Oh, I'm sorry. Gordon, this is my hot young new office assisant, Batgirl. And this is my moody hanger-on, Nightwing:

Gordon: Wow! What a coincidence! Batgirl is about the same height, weight, age, build, and haircolor as my daughter Barbara! And Robin looks different somehow! and Nightwing looks like how Robin used to look except with a mullet! and...

Batman: Can we get on with this!

Gordon: Right. Well Batman, have you thought about fancy gadgets?

Batman: What?

Gordon: Fancy Gadgets. You use them, then they use them. Take this character, for example...

*Gordon holds up a blue egyptian Scarab, revealing the villain of the next movie is none other than king tut."

Batman: Oh God, this is getting as rediculous as Shcumacker. Nevertheless, We'll look into it!

It will end with...................................the credits.

Ends at Arkyum where Joker gets a visit by two people:

- One who is either from an informant of Sal Maroni or Rupert Thorne, or is either one of themself who wants to make ammends and a truce with Joker at getting back at Harvey.

-Harley Quin visiting Joker as a psychiatrist, reads his file, objects to the thought that Joker is really a bad guy, and by movie's end we hear her call him "Puddin.' "

Then lastly Dent, Batman, and Gordon are on the roof celebrating but Gordon and Batman both fear that Gotham is still not a safe place. Make the whole movie ending like a "Empire Strikes Back"-type ending where the good guys believe they've won, but the battle is still far from over...

Bruce visiting his parent's grave or Rachel's grave. There's already roses there,,,Harvey beat him to it. You Im team Rachel but I prefer her dying at the hands of Dent than the more obvious plot Joker.
This really shakes up the D.A. family, its a big Gotham scandal and tores up Bruce to the core having lost so much all over again.

^heh...

I'm gonna try and steer clear of spoilers this time around, although it didn't really ruin my BB viewing experience...I just feel like a suprise...

All of the villians survive (Like they should have in the original Batman films).

That's my only major problem with the Burton films.
He had a need to kill off every villian. and completely change their back story, but let's leave that for another thread.

I like your ideas. After reading TLH, I truly think that Nolan would get the biggest punch out of the Dent scarring if we have the entirety of TDK to develop Harvey, the noble DA who's slowly losing himself trying to fight crime. TDK would end almost optimistically (almost!), with Joker in custody and Dent preparing his case. The audience would think that everything would get better, while us fans would be biting our nails until 2010 since we know exactly what comes next. And then the 3rd movie comes out and the ***** REALLY hits the fan.

gordon commisisioner, he and batman ,meet up in a back street.

GORDON
Now i just have to figure out some ways to clean up this town.

Batman peers down the street where we see FLASS collecting money from someone in an alley.

BATMAN
I think I have an idea.

Batman stops The Joker's reign of terror. Harvey Dent will prosecute, pushing for the Death Penalty instead of stint in Arkham. He wants to make an example of this Joker.

And the Clown Prince of Crime schemes to get revenge on Batman...

The Joker is captured, Sal Maloni is put behind bars. Everything looks like it is on the up and up.

Then the trial.

The Joker hurls acid in Harveys face, he is on the floor screaming in pain and terror - his hand covering one side of his face.

We hear a voice over from Bruce Wayne "I will never forget the sound of his screams"

Ideally, I'd have it similar to that.

Only I'd have Maroni do the scarring. Once it hits Harvey, he starts screaming in pain, crowd is all around him, the camera pans on the ground through various people. Until we get to Harvey Dent, who takes his hand off his face for a split second (still screaming) to reveal---fade to black. Cue in Bruce's "I will never forget the sound of his screams". Credits.

Ideally, of course. Chances are they won't go with a transition ending like that. :o

i think theyll defiently wait for the scaring of two face until 3.

Right.

Everything will be looking on the up and up, before it all comes crashing down...

 Dr. Harleen Quinzel would be cool.

Okay, here's an idea:

The final scene is The Joker in his jail-cell, just before he's escorted out to the court-house for his trial. Flass (or some other corrupt clown) heads towards his cell.

FLASS: Hey, clown.

The Joker looks at Flass as he pulls something out of his overcoat--a "antacid bottle."

FLASS: From my employer--to take out a mutual enemy.

The Joker grins, walks over to Flass, and grabs the bottle.

*Cut to black.*

It makes me wonder, which will be the darker of the two sequels?
