He’s quite charismatic and IMO charismatic/charming type of actors are more common than character ones in superhero movies so if anything he’s in the majority I think.

There is an extra dimensional Olympus that links to Earth 616. Then there is a literal city on earth the Eternals named Olympia, near the region of the supposed link between the other dimensional realm (pocket universe) of myth. Some Eternals at times pretended to be the Olympian gods in their interactions with normal humans, sometimes with the Olympian gods' blessing.
