I know, I know. I’m just thinking about what happened to Kelly Marie Tran. She was sent death threats for literally existing. Kumail is one of the most outspoken celebs on racism on Twitter. If he gets into a huge blockbuster like a Marvel movie, that leads to a lot of exposure, and then the trolls come. If he can take them, more power to him. I just can’t take any more of this BS. Casting minorities isn’t going to erase white people off the Earth. Who the hell thinks like that?

Is he? I’ve never even heard of him before today. But I think - this movie is gonna attract flack from all sides. You’ve got a report saying it’s got five female leads, including a woman of color, and the male lead is gay, plus it’s directed by a Chinese woman. The trolls are gonna be going after everybody associated with this project.

He's a real good actor, but I can't picture him in a comic book role as one of the Eternals at least.

He’ll be fine I think. He’s had tons of practice. I think the ones that are hit the most are those that are new to the industry and to fame.

The "That Hashtag Show" casting breakdowns included Eternals, a Titanian Eternal in Eros and an Olympian in Herc. It looks like this franchise will be a smorgasbord of powered up alien and extradimensional beings that don't currently have a home in the MCU.

I would like to see at least one white good looking and straight male in leading role for Phase 4 like Evans or Hemsworth..
I love Black Panther and Captain Marvel is a badass, but I Need at least one.

Are you serious with this as an opinion? Look at your regular viewing habits for TV, movies and streaming shows. Do a quick calculation as to the actual number of live action projects of ANY genre produced by a Hollywood studio for only the last FIVE years (much less how ever long you've been alive) and you will see the VAST majority are still with a straight white male lead character and majority white male cast. Your perceptions are being skewed for SOME reason but they do not actually reflect reality.

Even the films lauded for "diversity" still have a majority white cast in some form or another.

Please understand... Nothing is being taken away from you if there are slightly more non-white, non-straight, non-male people being portrayed on screen. You are not being actually threatened just because there's a small uptick in onscreen representation that better reflects how the world is in actuality, which is to say, that the stories we see nowadays have a better chance of including those for whom mainstream Hollywood entertainment did not deem worthy of being shown or having films centered around FOR A CENTURY. Relax. You are not some persecuted group who is having your identity stripped or is being disenfranchised, especially not in the context of the world of film and television. And you know what? Even if you did see some significant drop in those who were straight white males on your screens in entertainment? Well... Bluntly... Tough *******. Not seeing those like yourselves EVERYWHERE in movies and shows is precisely what every other group has had to put up with for as long as film and TV has been around. Welcome to our world. Somehow we managed.

Great choice if negotiations are successful, he was excellent in The Big Sick.

Dr Strange is straight white male and will lead phase 4 with some others. Whether he’s good looking is subjective but you can’t have everything. Spider-Man is kinda stepping into phase 4 lead depending on how the cards are played with Sony and he is also white straight with a dick, some say he is cute too as a bonus. I am afraid they are running out of Chrises who fits that bill. Of the four perceived pillars of phase 4 (Black Panther and Captain Marvel the other two) two are already white straight male so that’s 50% out of the gate. Yeah that’s a lower % than the phase 1-3 which were pretty much all minus BP, CM, and team ups that happened to be a tad white straight male dominant with at least one Chris to boot too.
