My point was that the guy was so useless and boring that Del Toro got rid of him in Hellboy 2.

To me making a regular human the protagonist of a movie full of superheroes seems kind of a dumb idea and a waste of screen time. I mean, what role would Margo play in the future of the MCU? All she can do is dig up old buildings.

Why assume she's the protagonist? Myers wasn't the protagonist of Hellboy, just the audience surrogate.

But... that is exactly the point I'm trying to make. If Margo is a regular human whose only purpose is to act as the audience surrogate she will run out of usefulness after the first movie.

That's why I'd rather her be a superheroine.

No, they are shooting a section of the film in film, not the whole movie. As someone whose father was in the industry for 30 years i can definitely tell you that shooting a heavy vfx movie on film is a NIGHTMARE for VFX artists. It will make the post production a lot more difficult.

If that was the case they would have filmed the whole thing in digital. If Zhao wants certain scenes filmed in film that means she wants to keep them in the final product. Probably a dream or an illusion sequence or something. The same way that the Valkyrie flashback was filmed with a different technology and framerate than the rest of Ragnarok.

The movie not being shot in film isn't bad. Every single cbm those days is being shot in digital. i just dont want people to expect the entire movie to be in film. Its a vfx heavy blockbuster. It wont happen.

I think you are taking the unconfirmed rumor that she is the main character a little too seriously. Plus all these movies have characters who are regular humans in them and I doubt this one will be any different. Traditionally Margo is Ikaris' love interest. Might not be the case this time since there are rumors he will be gay.​

Yeah, it’s great if they do that. If it’s one of the ones they introduced at SDCC though, I wonder why they didn’t just come right out and say it.

Oh they do? Lol then it could literally be any character haha. Honestly, I think it would be awesome if ALL the Eternals were queer. They’re (loosely) based on Greek mythology characters, and Ancient Greece was super queer so bring on the first LGBTQ super team.
