What's a movie without plot holes?
The purpose of this thread is to point out the errors in this movie and have an intelligent debate without getting out of hand. Remember, nobody is right and nobody is wrong.
Here are some I noticed off the top of my head:
1) How is Reed able to stretch his regular clothing as well?
2) If Sue is so worried about being in the lime-light then why have a wedding on a damn roof?
3) Where Willie Lumpkin?
4) We all know that Alicia is blind but can she not feel the force of the propellers coming at her?
5) How did Doom get his costume passed the highly secured military base?
6) Since Doom was 'cured', why would he even need to wear it?
7) I'm sure this isn't an error but the battle scene took place in China so why did they get married in Japan?
I know theres alot more so please post em if ya got em.
What bothered me is how everyone saw (including the general) Thing slam Doom into a wall and crush it. Whatever?
Johnny breathing in space at the end.
The plane had not left the ground yet when Johnny left it to go flaming along beside it.I wonder why and how Johnny managed to fly outside the plane wothout killing anyone.
I've busted plasterboard by falling into it.....maybe I'm the Hulk. What bothered me is how everyone saw (including the general) Thing slam Doom into a wall and crush it. Whatever?

not a plot hole. just unexplained.1) How is Reed able to stretch his regular clothing as well?
I mean If it took that little effort to destroy Galactus then why didn't the Surfer do it earlier?
What was the point of the holes thje Surfer created?
How did the pole go through Sue's shield?

I think I can answer this oneHow did the pole go through Sue's shield?
If it wasn't the natural disasters the Surfer should have "theoretically" caused from putting giant sized potholes in the earth, then it should have been the destruction Galactus caused when he started the suction process.
... But if that wasn't enough, this will really tickle your fancy. What about when the Surfer absorbed Galactus and caused that giant ripple effect across the solar system. Which by the way, should have also mutated half the earth's population with cosmic radiation.
Oh, and there's one other little problem left... When he caused that implosion, he also sucked the earth out of it's natural orbit.
Is it just me, or did the writer/Story really consider these cause and effect events. Even by today's standards, most superhero film makers take in account a certain degree of the laws of physics... This time, I think it was just plain neglect on their behalf.... Even if it is a "fantasy film".
in relation to the surfer when he transforms doom into the ice is that not what happened in relation to galactus, did the ss teleport him to somewhere else in the universe?
or is this just me!
I was going to mention this exact scene, it made no sense for me...Here's one I thought soemone would've covered by now...
In the scene where Sue says she's 'hawt' for Reed after he stands up to the Colonel, Why did they go through the motions of showing Johnny transfer his powers to Reed, yet never use that as part of the next action scenario?
At first I thought they forgot, but then I remembered that there is a little thing called editting, and they probably scrapped the scene where they switched back.
Obviously at some point they switched back, but it wasn't shown and just kind of left you dangling.
perhaps johnny did give all his powers away...The biggest is, they established that when you snag another members powers, you lose your own to them, so if Johhny touched everyone at once, he should've become an invisible stretchy rock guy, and the rest of the team should've become lightweight fire-people, each sharing a third of Johnny's power.
You can make up reason after reason to explain it, but the fact is that they should've talked about it in the movie.
This did bugg me and it would have probably been highlighted if the film was indeed longer but i don't think it would have made that much of an impacton the way it all ran.Am I the only one dissappointed that they didn't go further on that "Galactus gave them their powers" thing?
Doom may be pretty but he kept his denser molecular structure and powers. Remember him and the thing were fighting in the first movie. Doom can take serious punishment, which is why he took that big hit from ben right at the end of teh filmWhat bothered me is how everyone saw (including the general) Thing slam Doom into a wall and crush it. Whatever?
Johnny breathing in space at the end.
I'm not altogether certain he was in space at the end, but at the beginning... when the FLAME extinguishes (if any of you took 6th grade science, there is no flame without oxygen)... there simply is no way for him to have gotten his 'kewl' line off about 'the silver surfer winning'.Johnny breathing in space at the end.
Well, Surfer made his reasons fairly clear, when he tells us that he serves Galactus to save his own world. I think it's easy to assume that he thought he would have to die to stop Galactus, and he couldn't be certain that this would work. Since he wasn't totally convinced, nor did he wish to actually die (if not for the simple fact that he wanted to see his world and his woman again), those are pretty good reasons not to have tried.I mean If it took that little effort to destroy Galactus then why didn't the Surfer do it earlier?
