The FFINO ZONE - Part 1

There really isn't any other place to post this without getting a warning or something, but this is honestly hysterical.

even thought it wont, I genuinely hope that it only stays at one positive review on RT, which wasn't even much of a positive review to begin with. Just goes to show that you get out what you put in, and fox just half assed it the entire time. Its gonna be a long time until we get a definite F4 movie, if ever.

****ing bastards.:cmad:

I can't find the words to express how pissed off I am at these smug, arrogant bastards who have been crapping all over FF for over 10 years.

The thing about why they go through the portal is horrendous.

Ben is a child abuse victim, just like the main character in Chronicle. The leads' lives are irrevocably changed after an accident that happened after abusing alcohol as teens.

Josh Trank needs to spend less time behind the camera and more time in therapy.

Just another victim of the whole "gritty, realism" style perpetuated by The Dark Knight.

I think Patton Oswalt made the best point on a Screen Junkies thing. Dark and brooding is OK if the character is dark and brooding.

I had the same feelings about the first TASM, and I was just as negative about the second, same goes for Ang Lee's Hulk. Just because it works for Batman and the X-Men, doesn't mean it works for Spider-Man or Hulk.

Bruce Banner is tormented but his stories are seldom grim. Tragic? Yes. But they're usually punctuated by random doses of humor. Even the evil personality known as Joe Fixit is easily the funniest of the bunch. That isn't getting into Hulk's love of bananas and The Professor's bunny slippers. TIH was a far better film since it was actually fun. A Hulk movie that feels somber isn't what I want from Hulk.

And listen, I love The Dark Knight, but not every comic book movie has to be like The Dark Knight to be good.

Daredevil on Netflix is great and its unlike anything else from the modern Marvel Studios brand. It's night and day different from something like Ant-Man. But even look at The Winter Solider, even that's very different from Ant-Man. Winter Soldier is different from Guardians of the Galaxy. The people who believe all the Marvel stuff is just factory made all the same fast food stuff are wrong.

I think I get what happened with Fantastic Four. Josh Trank had his take, even though it's the wrong take in this material. They basically wanted to do something exactly the opposite of the original. However, going forward they realized with how superhero movies are now, making Fantastic Four into Watchmen or The Dark knight isn't going to work, so they probably made some changes to try and appease the Avengers crowd or at least make the TV footage more eye-popping.

So how long until Trank hits twitter? Will he go for the big rant or do people think he might go for "the real story" and dish the dirt on Fox?

Lately his thing is being a self important doofus who's mission is to change internet culture because of the man rack he used to have. Even though he was an angry troll post Star Wars firing.

if he knew what was good for him, he'll stay far away from the internet for a while.

Complaining about an over abundance of dark and brooding comicbook films is odd because the majority are not dark and brooding. Dark and brooding is not the trend, very, very comedic is.

Anyway FF looks terrible to me but not because it is dark and brooding.

Yeah, while it may have been true in the early/mid 2000s, it's certainly not the case anymore. I kinda feel we've gone a bit too much the other direction myself but DC's film slate seeming to overall be a more serious/darker tone makes me happy we'll get some more diversity there.

Yep, I complained at that time when a lot of fans wanted every comicbook film to be dark and semi realistic and I'm complaining now that a lot of fans want every comic book film to be a comedy. I think variety is a good thing and some people don't.

Agreed. I would welcome some "grit" at this point.

Meanwhile, Jeff Sneider is still looking forward to Fantastic Four while comparing Deadpool to Jonah Hex.

He's already back on Twitter and he's been on Twitter a while as far as I know.

Oh, you haven't seen that new (totally unbiased, I'm sure) review thread...

You might count me on the "Fox fans" since i prefer the best X-Men movies to the best MCU movies, but seriously this movie. I've been cautiously optimistic about it, but it has 14% RT score and Kinberg calls it "not a disaster". There isn't much to be excited about it at this point.

You won't find them in this thread because they're not allowed to post in here. But Psylockolossus posted a review thread and said he has already seen in twice and loved it and thought it was the best Fantastic Four movie ever.

Don't forget the part about it being even better the second time.

I feel the pain of those who were excited but are being hit by the truth now.

I saw this coming from a long way out, but it's got to be tough for anyone who actually thought this was going to be good.
