At this point, there would be something comforting about it sitting on the shelf at Marvel rather than sitting on the shelf at Fox.

If nothing happens, we risk going through this whole nightmare again in 7 years.

Completely agree.

I can almost guarantee Fox is going to sit on this as long as possible, because they are *****ebags lol

At least if it sits on a shelf at Marvel we'll still get Kang in an Avengers or Guardians film.

Frankly, it's amazing this is watchable at all. ~Time Out

A dawdling indie drama, gussied up in superhero garb. ~Guardian

It is very hard to screw up Doom once let alone 3 times...

I don't understand the stubborness of making him phisically transform... why, why, do they have to do that? Is it too hard to make another Darth Vader?

So the Incredibles nailed the family and Star Wars nailed Doom. And yet after 3 FF films, they haven't even come close.

I've never done this before. I added a movie to my Netflix queue before it's been officially released in the theater. :o

So, all signs point to this movie bombing...But what do you guys think Fox does next? Do they try to strike a deal with Marvel? Do they just sit on the rights and try again in 6-7 years? Do they wait for the rights to revert?

I'm betting they'd make a deal with Marvel. They've got nothing to gain from just sitting and letting the rights revert and with the reception of all of their FF films and the decline in box office, they've no reason to try to make another.

If Fox wants to save face, they make some kind of a deal. But I don't think they will. And if they choose to squat on these rights for yet another seven years I hope that vindictiveness and spite starts to hurt their other Marvel properties. As it stands right now, after what Fox has done to the FF for the third time in a row and after the blatant dishonesty they've fed to fans and moviegoers during all of this, I'm not watching any of their Marvel films in the theater ever again. Best case I'll catch 'em on on Netflix or cable or Redbox if the reviews are decent. After First Class they started to earn my good will back but this? For this FF fan? This is unforgivable.

Well, I said it before if this movie got stellar, around 70s and 80s, I would have considered going to the movies. But even the "positive" reviews are like pity effs.

The beef is real with Marvel, no way they make a deal.

Edit: Only hope is that Marvel/Disney finds some kind of legal loophole to get the rights back.

Perhaps Fox should try to make a quick deal with Marvel while the movie is still in theaters. At least they would come out looking like heroes for letting the rights return, because right now they look like @$$e$ for keeping them. Also, if a deal was struck fans might be a little more willing to support this piece of crap just because they did the right thing, and out of a morbid curiosity I suppose.

I still don't think FOX will make a deal.

Me neither....at this point they are like a petulant baby that would rather sit in their soiled diaper than ask for a change.
