The FFINO ZONE - Part 2

I blame Fox, JT and yes Disney Marvel.
Disney Marvel could have saved everyone all these pain if they just offered Fox a deal they were happy with. Fox clearly doesn't care about F4 and I really think they would take a deal if they were happy with that deal.

Disney Marvel are probably the last people to blame for this mess. Fox was unwilling to play ball and was determined to hold onto the franchise to spite Marvel.

If Marvel had a reasonable chance to keep their name and one of their properties from getting involuntarily dragged in the dirt, they would've taken it.

On Collider Movie Talk John Campea said that he heard rumors that Fox cut the budget before filming...like did with the first X-Men film in 1999.

Yep and probably increased it again when they went for extensive 40-page reshoots.

Fox already got what they paid for when they bought the rights to the Fantastic Four franchise. They've had it for 20 years. What have they done with it? Why should Marvel go out of their way to buy back something they already sold off? It's not their fault Fox doesn't get the FF or know what to do with it or care about it.

If Fox wanted FF to be a real franchise for them they would've put more care into it from the beginning. This time around they cared more about keeping the rights so Marvel couldn't use the characters than actually doing a good FF film. I have no sympathy for Fox in this situation.

OMG guys what if this is exactly like Transformers? :shudders:

Faraci going crazy trying to defend Trank on twitter.

Safe to say his positive review was biased.

The last part of Kevin Smith's interview with Trank should be very interesting!

Just got back from the movie. Pretty much exactly what everyone said it'd be.
Did I miss anything? I see Trank tweeted something interesting.

LOL, I can't blame Disney Marvel.

On some level, the hilarity this has brought forth is like fun. I mean...we are all having fun joking and having a good time about this.

Let's face it guys. The next Fox Fantastic Four reboot had almost no chance of being good. I feel like this is what had to happen in a way.

Is this a trainwreck? Yes. But it's a trainwreck we can watch, enjoy and laugh at.

The problem with this train wreck is, fans of the FF may never see a good version of their favorite comic book characters appear on the silver screen. Seriously, almost every other comic book franchise has gotten better treatment on the Silver Screen then the FF has. Even Punisher after all of his bad movies, gets to make an appearance in season 2 of the DD Netflix show,

All you missed was Trank tossing this movie under the bus and trying to absolve himself of responsibility. Oh and, if you were out when this was released, fans being blamed for the reshoots that apparently ruined the film.

What's funny is that Faraci defended the movie for his friend by giving it a positive review, and then Trank goes and calls it ****. :funny:

First world problems ;) .

Faraci is friends with Trank. Co-writer Jeremy Slater is another close friend of Faraci's. They both wrote for Chud back in the day.

Whoa now, I didn't know about the last part. How are the fans to blame exactly? Did Trank say this?
How full was the theater?

Me, my buddy, and two other people. So far that's the smallest crowd I've seen for any movie in the five years I've lived in this city.
I'm going to say this, there was a movie that worked in there somewhere. We'll probably never know who is to blame exactly (I'm sure there's fault on both sides), but there were moments where this movie showed promise if it were more focused. As a whole it was rushed, under developed, and completely undefined. The third act just all of a sudden happens and you're sitting there wondering why you should even care in the first place. I'm going to do a more in-depth review, but those are my thoughts in a nutshell.

Faraci wrote that F4 review to throw a bone to his friends Trank and Slater. He uses his website to pimp out his friends in the industry. Directors that he has personal vendettas with like JJ Abrams and Bryan Singer always get ripped for the smallest things.

It's strange Devin didn't do a review of Ant-Man because of his friendship with Peyton Reed but yet he felt the need to do a bias review of Fantastic Four even though he's friends with Trank and one of the co-writers on the film.
