So why were Richards friends quick to trust him again even though he ditched them for a year.... and why did he pull a Bruce Banner in the first place?

Thanks.......so, at least 2 of the "money shots" from the commercials to get people excited for the action (Thing dropping from chopper and Thing destroying tank) are either completely missing or put on a smaller computer screen and are not actual movie set pieces of action.

I remember in the 4Chan incident the leaker mentioned that the work was done but only in about 1080p rather than the 4K needed for cinema, and that they had done all they had been payed for so they would need more money if Fox wanted them to do more. I wonder if those scenes might have been shunted onto video screens because Fox simply could not get the effects finished at the higher resolution in time, or just were not willing to spend more money.

Now occuring to me: The failed reboot is the last reminent of the unholy Tom Rothman era of Fox. Yes, Emma Watts is in charge now but Fan4stic is 100% Rothman's baby as the reboot talks were in '09 and Kinberg was talking about grimdarkening up the first family at the time before Trank was a gleam in the execs' eyes

They also put them learning about their powers on the monitors as well and it's pretty clearly not what that footage was intended to be with the camera angles they have. Also Tim Blake Nelson just stands there and tells you the second act that they cut out of the film.

I really want to read the Trank shooting script. Or at least get a definite in depth break down

If you don't want to watch the movie but still want to know what happens, here is a detailed spoiler review giving an almost scene by scene breakdown:

http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2015/08/fantastic-four-marvel-fox-review/400850/

Ben is perpetually angry because he looks like a caramel-flavored variation of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. (Plus: no one even gives him a pair of briefs to wear; happily, for reasons unclear, his rocky manhood seems not to have made the return trip from the other dimension.)

:hehe:

Off topic but Antman is about to pass XM: FC. The Fox-verse just isn't reaching it's potential! What was the point of hiring Miller if you are just going to let him sit there and look pretty...........................pretty ugly that is! :awesome:

Geting Millar was just a PR move. Im sure he has a do nothing job

Took my daughter to see MINIONS this afternoon BANANASSSSS.......while there, I asked one of the workers how FF was doing....he said Fair, but no way like a Superhero movie usually does opening weekend....I said I had been hearing the reviews were pretty bad....he laughed and said he's heard several people say they were there to see if it was bad as all the reviews were saying.

Why would they distrust him, exactly? He didn't exactly betray them. He's a scared kid. They all were.

Okay so I saw the film and it really has to be seen to be believed: it's blatant that Fox didn't care at all about this movie. They should be ashamed for putting it in theaters. It literally has no second act and the third is just a cobbled together mess. This absolutely deserves to be below the likes of Batman and Robin and Elektra -- those were horrible movies but at least they were real movies with a beginning, middle and end, and an actual story with character development.

The sheer brazenness of Fox to put this out there is appalling.

Usually the 2nd act of a film is the longest, with the first being the set up. The 3rd usually follows on naturally from a turning point at the end of the 2nd act where the protagonist has to make some kind of choice. This all sounds idiotic.

I thought I had read someone else say.....that scene was seen on a video screen being watched by someone, not on the full theater screen as an actual moment. Is that true?

For a moment. Then it pulls backand we're back in the boardroom and the footage is on a projector at the back, but not before seeing the disappearing tank.

Edit: lol. Didn't realise I was a page back. Tony Stark already said it.

Goodness gracias, was this movie awful.

I'm remembering that all the scenes involving Ben playing baseball are cut and also the dude was a dick the entire movie

Saw one of my facebook friends post they were seeing it with some friends. I just commented "Nooooo"

So there's nothing of him playing baseball like in the trailers? Is he even a baseball player anymore?

We were promised he'd be a "sports guy" - just like the comics!

Did he have any sporting background or could he have just as easily done ballet?

I haven't read the whole thread but has anyone seen this? Fox may be trying to survey movie goers to see what to do with the FF future movies...
http://peeltheorange.net/fox-asking-fans-what-to-do-with-fantastic-four-franchise/

I would hope they put "Nothing. Give it them up and make a deal with the studio that doesn't need to ask what to do with them". Simples....

If that's for real then its a face palming admission they really have no idea how to handle The Fantastic Four. What next? Ask fans to write the script for them?

Hint to Fox: Get a writer to read the books who doesn't think they are stupid or silly, need grounding, grit, angst, 43 confirmed kills (:loco:) avoids properly giving any of them their trademark names, let alone the team name, or the costumes, or bloody anything that makes the comics a zillion times better that this 'sphincter blistering idiocy.':cmad:

Ok, rant over. Carry on...:cwink:
