The Final Swing

I just don't see it, in the book, yea he can swing off with Mary Jane, but Secret Riddle's avatar is what I believe is part of or the end of the final swing.

And WHY OH WHY would we want a night time swing? Like Maboroshi said, the entire movie was dark, so it is only fitting to do another daytime shot for the swing. No Venom, NO. He's dead, get over it.

wow :wow: Spider-Girl telling how it is!

From what I understand, the swing with MJ in his arms that we have pics of is from the Battle Royale... The final shot will be him and MJ in a different place during the day... Just what I've come to understand from the Novelization spoilers...

i have a really bad feeling about this final swing sequence...it seems that it will look really fake (hopefully it doesnt) because the second one had okay cgi at the end, but having to do two cgi characters now is just insane...it might turn out looking really fake..and wut hell is spiderman gonna do the whole time; is he just gonna swing with one hand (kinda boring), but at the same time it does emphasize that mj and pete are back together and in good terms

i think they should " kill venom" and the rest of the time u think venoms dead (if ur a geek u know he didnt die due to radiation or heat) but at the end it shows a speck of venom alive if you know what i mean

I think it would be great, just for a laugh, if Spidey swung into the side of a Daily Bugle truck.

PS. Mr. 7000: The second movie's final swing was amazing. Idiot.

While I don't hate the second movie's final swing by any means, you have to admit that in comparison to the first movie, the difference in quality is rather noticeable. Also, you should probably refrain from calling people idiots in the same post that you say that Spidey should swing into the side of a Daily Bugle truck. I'm sure someone could use your ideas for Epic Movie 2 though.

This perhaps?

I very much agree. I understand the need to emphasize the togetherness of MJ and Peter, however I think it's going to be tough to pull off a final swing with the both of them. That picture is exactly what I mean. I've never expected perfect CGI or anything like that, however it is extremely noticeable there. If the camera is as close as its been for the final swing in the first two movies, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. I'm a sucker for seeing the flips and swoops through traffic, but I suppose I could live without the acrobatics. Here's hoping they can do it.

^^^ That's not the final swing... The final swing is after Pete and MJ dance at the Jazz Club... read the Novelization thread if you don't believe me...

I'm deliberately not reading the novelization thread, however I know that's not during the final swing. The point is how MJ looks when they swing together period.

Was it? Says who? You? Pfft. What ever. You call me an idiot because you don't share my opinion? Oh, the irony :whatever:. The final swing in sm2 sucked, period imo and if you dont like it, go f--k yourself and look, you gutless bastard, keep my name out of your damn mouth, coz you aint got sh1t to say, prick :o

I like the idea of peter holding mj during the final swing. I think that would be cool and it would be a good way to end the trilogy, if it is indeed the end. It wouldn't have to be after their wedding or whatever just as long as he is holding her.

I'm thinking the shot where spidey jumps right next to a flag pole is spider-man day. I mean they aren't going to reveal the final swing sequence in atrailer, they didn't reveal the final swing of spidey2 in the spidey2 trailer. as for the final swing being at night now that wouldn't happen at all. If he is going to web-swing at night then thats okay by me but I think peter and mj might swing away when morning rises or at sunset to give it a more epic feel. this film seems to have alot of dramatic momentes betwen peter, MJ, and Gwen so yeah it's nice to have a romantic type ending for spidey3.

That makes no sense at all.
At the jazz club is where Peter goes out with Gwen and the pushes MJ.....

That's earlier in the film... at the end they go back to the Jazz Club... that's where MJ works... and that scene is carried over because it mentions that some that were there the night of the attack are a bit jumpy around him.

And I can guarantee that the flag pole is Spider-Man day.

Oh she works there...That makes sense

Your right, it wasn't shown in sm2's trailer BUT it was definately shown in sm1's trailer, so it can go any way.

i hope ur right about the flag pole...not that i am against the american flag or wutever...it just seems too corny to put that at the final swing:yay:

They didn't show Spidey exactly at the flag poles- but, Eddie does reference it in a later scene... so, I know that the flagpole is there- I don't know exactly when because I don't recall the book mentioning the flagpole before that point in time- but, I can guarantee that it is not in the final swing- and it fits more in line with the chronological order of Spider-Man day.

I still think it's a horrid idea to swing with MJ at the end. I may change my mind after actually seeing it, but I doubt it.

I would prefer to see Spidey swinging on his own, but to the those who say it can't be done right or look right just think of the Spidey and MJ swing in the first film -- that is one of my favourite swinging parts of the Spidey films. True the pic shown before isn't very good, but I'm sure that isn't the end swing . . . more likely the part where Spidey swings MJ to safety.

It can be done, I just don't think it should be . . .

How about it's raining outside and it's still fairly dark and as he gracefully swings throughout the city the sun rises? Kind of shows how he was consumed by the darkness but now he is back into light?

the reason why it can not be with MJ is because with her it would have to be a slow swing not this cool badass acrobatic swing.

So I guess the Oscars were wrong. I guess AFI was wrong. Mr. 7000 you must be right. You go, dude. You go.

I agree, that is why I don't want it -- all I was saying is that they CAN make it look good like in the first Spidey, unless the VFX team have all suffered amnesia since then.
