I thought Batfleck was a sign that DC was going for more comic-accurate costumes. This concept art disappoints me.

I'm just gonna blame WB's refusal to share any association with the CW show for the film costume's lack of classic symbol.

the suit looks very much like the one in the Injustice game. hopefully the final product looks better than the concept art. it's not bad but feels like something is off

If you inspect it closely, you'll see that the picture is angled and warped.

Much better than that ridiculous leather suit from the show.. Ezra actually looks more like barry than Gustin in my opinion.. from the concept art itself it's evident he will be much more closer to the comic interpretation. He actually is a forensic scientist and you focus that angle on him..

It's the after effect of running at super speed - his face is affect by some sort of gravity effect.. Like the one in man of steel when superman flies into the spaceship

So? Most people don't care (only a minority of fanboys), and now the comics have it red!



I trust Snyder and Wilkinson with the suits, they have done a great job so far.

Saying that the suit is disappointing is an understatement to me.

I get that they have to differentiate from the show (which pretty much nailed the costume) but this thing is just plain ugly.

I will not comment much Flash suit cause all we have is concept art. And few different versions of suits in same concept art. I'll wait for live action suit. Still I will say I am bit dissapointed with no "bolt ears" in every one of them. That's same like taking away Batman's bat ears.

I am also bit dissapointed with that Flash really looks oddest from all those costumes. Every Justice League character got suit justice right, only Flash looks bit odd, weird like something is bit off. Is it really a lack of "ears", is it actual suit, is it "no finger gloves". Just say I am not really liking or feeling a hype for what I am seeing so far. But I will wait for actual suit first to see it how it looks before I compare it to others.

I really don't see why people are having such a negative reaction to this, especially after that rumor that the Flash was going to have long flowing hair while in costume. I'm not a fan of the fingerless gloves, but hopefully that won't make the final version. We also don't know for sure that he won't have the ear pieces; remember, early Captain American concept art showed him with nothing on the sides of his helmet but ultimately, he did have the white wings painted on. Concept art is always so hard to go by anyway; half the time, it's deliberately unclear (as it appears to be here).

Anyway, these designs look better than the TV costume to me, which I've really grown to dislike more and more as the show has gone on. Why the hell does every character in the Berlantiverse need to wear a goddamned leather jacket?

The TV show's costume has its faults, sure, but it nailed a few of the core elements (mask shape, chest symbol, ear pieces). This concept art is lacking some of that key Flash iconography, which just strikes me as strange. Obviously it's too early to judge, but still—weird.

And fingerless gloves are idiotic. Why would a forensic scientist knowingly leave his fingerprints everywhere?

I agree with you about the gloves but then, on Arrow, Laurel (who is a DA) apparently leaves her fingerprints everywhere when she's in costume. At least with the Flash you might be able to give it some pseudo science explanation that he's so fast he doesn't leave fingerprints or something.

Speaking of ugly, the maroon red, the leather jacket, hideous belt and ugly boots is not classic Flash. Snyder and Wilkinson have done a much better job with the suits than the cheap CW, we'll see when they release the first photo of Ezra in the suit.
