I just realized, this episode marks the first time where we've had a episode with Cold that didn't feature him in the Post-Credit scene.

It might be via Gideon, he did mention to alert him if the future changes

I'm still a little iffy on how the rules of time alteration affects someone like Wells.

Back when Barry had his powers zapped from the meta-human with electricity, it seemingly wiped away the existence of the Flash from Wells's future records for a moment. However, if that was the case, then Wells should have disappeared as well since his presence is a result of the Flash's existence.

but she did not, that's the point. I don't see why the writers wouldn't show us how he knew, unless they forgot.

Prob next episode we will find the answer for that, or not.

The Good:

- Tom Cavanagh.

- Captain Cold/Wentworth Miller.

The Bad:

- All that nonsense with Cold, Heat Wave, and "The Don". Talk about cheesy.

- "Your heart should ache for me. Does it?"

- The effects for Lisa's gun.

- Barry not grabbing Lisa's and Cold's guns after confronting them at the casino.

- Valdes' dramatic acting. (No offense to him.)

- "You and your rogues gallery..."

- Barry and Cold came to their arrangement way too easily.

- It didn't really take much for Barry to starting doubting Harrison, did it?

- I do not, at all, care about Barry and Iris as a couple.

The Okay

- I think Linda was way too cool about Barry breaking up with her for Iris. She was right all along and she acted like she didn't even care.

- "Lightning psychosis".

This was a step down from last week. 6/10.

Interesting episode, The time travel element could've been handle better. I love Cold & Heatwave, not much of Golden Gilder, I knew Madsen was History. Can't wait for The Trickster

Lisa's weapon was both poor in concept and in execution. The design of her gun looked more like a over-the-top hair drier that i would see in an fancy hotel.lol

And if she could theoretically turn anything gold with that, then she's pretty much financially set for life since she should just be shooting that thing all over inanimate objects to make a fortune for herself.lol

(snip)
I'll start with the good. I love Captain Cold! I love the guy! Every stinkin' second he's on is a joy to watch. They are smart to try and showcase him in the upcoming team up show.I also liked Heatwave and Cold's hot sister.(See what I did there?:awesome:) I was a bit disappointed she wasn't wearing gold or something. Why does all the villains have to wear black? Do they know we have color tv these days? A neat little invention.Weather Wizard should've worn something better too....
I don't actually mind them wearing dark clothing (Cold, Heatwave and Glider) because it brings attention to their very bright guns. Weather Wizard would need something like his wand to have an equivalent, though, since he is just completely dark and bland looking (well, not in the face, but y'know).

The campy acting is great, and I love Miller's portrayal of Cold. I kind of know that I shouldn't, but the guy just sells it so well.
Ah,the Weather Wizard. All that build up and he's locked away in record time.:hehe: Barry's got to take it easy with the unmasking in front of villains in the pipeline.Hasn't he learned his lesson?:nono:
At least he turned away first, though he could have taken the two seconds to let the door get to the ground.
It was really cool to see events unfold, similarly, but different.Wells convo with Cisco was eerie and heartwarming at the same time. You didn't know if he was being sincere or getting ready to thrust his hyperspeed hand though his chest again.
In fairness, Wells was being sincere last episode when he did phase Cisco's heart out... But I do know what you mean, and that was one of the highlights of the episode.
Cisco thinking he was getting lucky was hilarious.:lmao: Sorry Cisco, but you really should know better.:oldrazz:
I kinda loved him calling himself out on that.

It would have been nice to have a throwaway line that it just looked like gold, or something. Even then, it's a silly gun and they could have done better. One of the failings of the episode.

And I don't really mind Cold, Heatwave, or Lisa at all.

My only problem is that I have a hard time believing on how those three can come off as such a big threat.

I mean their guns are strong, but at the end of the day, they're just guns. There's no way that those three alone could take on a huge barrage of armed thugs on their own.
Actually, that's something I quite liked the two 'vs. the mob' scenes. They showed that they are actually skilled beyond their guns, and it makes them out to be a threat beyond a couple of pieces of stolen tech.

I have to say this is one of the worst episodes of the season after last weeks amazing amazing episode. Just felt kind of boring and not much going on really. Didn't like that barry tried to get with iris the way we did to that was just stupid. I gave this episode an 7.

can someone explain this time travel to me? if barry went back in time, shouldn't there be two barrys? the one who belongs there and the one who traveled back in time? the way they did it doesn't make any sense, how can anyone say they handled it well?

By all accounts, there's no way that Captain Cold and Heatwave should have been able to give Barry the trouble that they did in their last encounter with each other, given that Barry was neither injured and that there wasn't a cold field in usage at that time.

As flashy as it looks to see Barry take on those two, it doesn't make any sense for Barry to have problems in defeating those two. Captain Cold and Heatwave, as they stand now, are just two human beings with powerful guns of their own. If he can't beat in a flash, no pun intended, under those terms then that suggests that he's not capable of taking on average criminals at all.

Tru dat !

eh, I thought the episode was passable. It was certainly helped that I fast forwarded through the whole awkward love quadrangle stuff. I liked the rouges though the resolution was weak, though I do like the idea of a recurring villain like Captain Cold. As usual Reverse Flash is a badass. All in all not one of their stronger episodes, but I wouldn't call it the worst of the season.

I'd give it a B. I say if you don't like the writers increasingly desperate attempts at writing romance stuff, just skip forward through scenes. For the most part you can pretty much tell what's going on without them and the episode is alot stronger for it.

Well, the show has established that there are potentially many forms of "time traveling", where the cause and effects of it can vary.

In this case, I believe that as soon as Barry ended up traveling back in time (albeit accidentally), the old version of him ceased to exist as that timeline was no longer valid with Barry's time travel.

it was an okay episode!
that "your heart should ache for me!"line... OOOOH BROTHER!! i know people who have been together for 20 years and all they have is heart burn and not aching hearts! i like cold! dude is flamboyant enough from some one who would expect who thought they were all that. i dug the "no wasting time! i aint playing shooting Cisco brothers hands for frostbite! that was COLD!1( no pun intended! hehe) golden gliders gun wasnt great, but what really irked me was why cold after coming for Cisco to learn barrys secret made total sense( i thought someone like that should happen. he knew cisco and katlin were involved from before with flash, so that made sense)... the i wont tell nobody your secret.. didn't make sense at all!! screw that!if i am a crook all bets are off! but hey! every episode cant be a hit i expect some misses now and then! so bring on the trickster!

A good question would be "How did Eddie know Barry was putting the moves on Iris?" Did she just run and blab to him? (seems like something she would do :oldrazz:) She seemed oblivious to the fact that Eddie would do something like that though,so who knows.

I admit the whole "Lightning Psychosis" thing was kinda lame.Seemed like a very "Silver Age" excuse to get a hero out of a sticky predicament. But,I loves me the Silver Age so....

I actually wonder if my high rating of this show is that I routinely skip through the love polygon and concentrate on the good stuff. I dunno, I still enjoy the vast majority of the show, and I quite liked Caitlin's resolution and Eddie being a sweetheart when he apologised, even if I largely skipped the setup.

Yeah, it was quite bad. I heard it as I pressed fast forward on the dvr.

Cold did say something that had me rolling. His banter with Cisco about family and when he asked if Snart was a good big brother. He just says "that debatable" lmao!!

It helped me like it more. I find myself groaning watching it live because it means I have to see through the very awkwardly written romance stuff. However on playback I can zip through and get to what the writers are best at which is the Flash myth and the story arches.

If Iris wasn't the character that he ends up with in comics, then I could at least tolerate this whole messy romance since there would at least be hope for Barry to find a better female character to be leads with in the future (like how Tom Welling's Clark found Erica's Lois after Kristin's Lana), but there isn't which means that either they continue with Iris (which is irritating to think about) or they break canon and have Barry either stay single or end up with someone else.

Personally, she may not be the best, but I found Linda to be both far more attractive and more fun to be around.

And on the basis of this show's logic, Barry has got to be the world's biggest idiot for dumping a girl like that.

Skipping through the bad parts is what you do to terrible comic book films like Superman Returns, and FF2 Rise of the silver Surfer.

Tbh,I liked the "Does your heart ache" line, but it lost much of it's impact when you consider they dated for like less than a month.:oldrazz:

I don't pass the triangle sh-er-stuff,which is why I can't give the show a 10 yet.:csad: I certainly would've given last week's a 10 if not for the triangle shtuff.

I really hope Iris goes on vacation next week.If any episode is a 10 candidate, it's one starring Mark Hamill as the Trickster!
