I have to say, the only thing I'm not feeling in this Trailer, is the actor playing Vibe. Everything looks and feels great. But that Vibe dude kinda sticks out.

Yeah, he looks kinda annoying.

Trailer was cool.

Not on par with the first teaser, but still better than I imagined the show would be. Stoked. It's Barry Allen. Of course I'll watch.

(Vibe looks like he's from Spy Kids ;) But that's fine by me)

You guys are getting really melodramatic about Vibe.

Possible trouble on the horizon for The CW.

Tribune CEO Peter Liguori is the network’s biggest affiliate owner, so CW owners CBS and Warner Bros have to take him seriously. And something will have to give based on the tough comments he made today at at the MoffettNathanson Media & Communications Summit — the same day CW execs told advertisers, in their upfront presentation, that the network just attracted its largest audience in three years.

Liguori says he’s “not pleased with where the CW is” adding that it “should not program to [young] people who don’t watch television.” CBS’ Les Moonves and Warner Bros’ Kevin Tsujihara know that CW “can’t move forward without us.”

What specifically does the Tribune chief want? Liguori says it may be time for him to “get a seat at the table” for programming. “Maybe I can put some of my content on there.” He also raised the possibility of playing a larger role in its management. “All of those things have to be in play.” Part of the problem, as Liguori sees it, is that CW is a sideshow for its owners. “If CW becomes a competitor, isn’t [Moonves] possibly threatened [at CBS]? Yes. We have to break that log jam.”

He says that and then later in the article, he praises Salem which has been doing CW numbers, if that. He wants a bigger chunk of change. I'm sure if he b****es loud enough, he'll get it.

Plus, as Julie Plec pointed out on Twitter, if he really thinks the CW audience isn't watching television, he's not looking at how much they trend on twitter when the episodes air.

That is actually what I think Mr. Liguori's true intent is. He sees how the CW is full of CBS and WB produced series and wants a piece of the pie. However, in my opinion, CBS and WB can make it more difficult for Tribune than Tribune can for CBS and WB.

Maybe he should pay more attention to where the CW is at, and not where it was at a few years ago. Had he heard the upfronts today, he would know that The CW just had its best year in a long time. As well as that they have actually moved away from those shows that just attract young people. The timing of his comments are a little confusing, they would be more in sync with The CW from about 4 years ago, and not this years.

Some people have said The Flash trailer is giving off a Raimi Spider-Man feel to it, which I agree. I think that's a good thing, though. Raimi's Spider-Man films were pretty lighthearted for the most part, which is what I like about The Flash. He's a bit more cheerful than every other DC hero... And I think that's why I like Gustin as Barry, he gives off that cheerful mood that Barry has in the comics very well.

I agree. It's supposed to be that same type of spirit. Even back in 2005, when David Goyer was working on a Flash-film treatment, he said it was going to be in the same tone as the Raimi-Spidey films.

...on a similar note, I've always thought the death of Iris West by Zoom echoed the same sense of dramatic power the death of Gwen Stacy by The Green Goblin had.

That was fantastic, I can't wait for October!

I had a thought I know some people don't want the DC TV Universe connected to the DC movie Universe. (I think it would be a smart move to connect them though.) Here is my thought /idea for a great season finale for both Arrow and Flash.
So the after credit scene for BvS is Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman talking about forming a group or league to take on the up coming threat. So Batman ask Alfred to take some messages to Starling City and Central City. Movie ends.

Season finale for each show may consist of a crossover two part episode. At the end of Arrow, Ollie and Barry are on a roof top telling each other thanks, when special guest star Jeremy Irons shows up and hands the two of them the messages or invitation to join the Justice League.

Like I said just an idea.

the production values look fantastic. Finally we have reached the point where we can get REAL superheroes on TV, not pseudo-heroes like we saw in Smallville (particularly the earlier season).

Toning the Flash down is easy. Just say he maxes out at the speed of sound, not the speed of light. At that speed, he actually can't be everywhere (important) at once.

That makes him Quichesilver.

He should exceed a jet fighter's speed slightly. Mach 1 gets him to any point in Central anyway. Let him cross state lines.

See, now I'm wondering how good a big screen adaptation would be fx wise since this looks so impressive.

I love the costume, and Barry's over confident attitude. As a Flash fan, I couldn't be more happier with the way this show is shaping up. I just hope they tie Arrow/Flash to the DC Cinematic Universe. I'd love to see these guys together.

It would be awesome if someone made a Justice League trailer out of the clips we've gotten so far. especially with these scenes here.
